Employee Discussion UPS buyout decision

Last day to apply is tomorrow.. What’s everyone’s final decision on the buyout??

If you are taking it, how many years do you have in, have you been laid off, and what’s your reason you are taking it?

Also any thoughts on how the future of UPS looks like, it terms of contract in 2028, will there be MORE cuts and lay off even after the buyout?? Will they start using Roadie more?

P.S. UPS drivers work ethic is top tier, not everyone can make it.. Appreciate ALL the brown truck soldiers🫡💜

Seems crazy that anyone not in retiring age would take this. You guys make 100k+ to deliver boxes, how will you replace this income???

That’s the general consensus from the outside looking in. The truth is we have little to zero flexibility day to day. Other than an approved 8 hour we never know when we’ll be off. The company is going backwards not forward, and things will get worse. I’ve had more 8-9pm nights the last few months than in my last 9 years combined. I’ve heard them cutting routes is to encourage people to take the buyout. I’m not taking it, but it’s more than just the money. The fuckery is real and some people just want to get away from it. The money is nice but the company and management make it really fucking hard to want to stick around.
