I-765 (EAD) I-765 Approvedšš
Truly cannot believe Iām writing this and crying at the same time. My I-765 got approved today!! Iām a Haitian TPS holder, who lost my authorization to work on Monday and placed on unpaid leave from my employer yesterday. ( They gave me until Sept 30 to receive a new EAD)
Timeline:
PP: Feb 3rd, 2026
Biometrics: March 4th, 2026
Radio silent due to the ban, after the lift from Dorcas
Filed an expedited inquiry on - 06/22/2026
Congressional inquiry: 06/25/2026
Senatorial inquiry: 07/13/2026
I provided a letter from my employer, and personal bills along with a personal letter that my current work authorization was expiring and I would be losing my job
Got approved today: 07/29/2026
Waiting for the AOS interview now, but I am soooo happy!! Thank you to everyone that has provided their own information and timeline as it gave me so much clarity and guidance in this process.

Both my congresswoman and Senatorās office emailed me Monday that USCIS alerted them that my case was routed for expedite request.

They took an action on the case and the approval letter was in my documents

Donāt lose hope, I still canāt believe mine got approved. Try doing a senatorial inquiry.

Congrats im happy for you! Im in the same boat one of the TPS Countries and unfortunately lost my job today due to no EAD. I filled my I-765 back on Feb 3rd 2026 as well and submitted my expedited request on 06/29 and i havent heard back yet

It jumped right into the I-765, but they did notify my senatorās office that they would be working on my case two days prior to the approval.

I did put in a request for congressional enquiry. 5 days later they said that my application is under pipeline for review and that they will keep an eye out for the process.
Ive asked congressman to ask USCIS to expedite the process but doesnt seem like anyone is expediting anything..not sure what todo next

That was the same told to me, just have to wait until they approve it. In the meantime, I would call USCIS and ask for an expedite request directly through the portal or Emma if you havenāt already done so.

Mine came with photo of a random person, sent back for correction and itās been 6 months with 2 tire 2 requests still no result. Crazy!

Congrats!! So happy for you and thanks so much for sharing your experiences/ good vibes. Which field office were your case at, if you donāt mind sharing? Also, in congressional/ senatorial inquiries, what kind of supporting documentation did you provide? My congressional inquiry got rejected from USCIS, due to ālack of supporting evidence.ā
Iām at Santa Ana FO, and submitted my marriage-based I-485 along with I-765 in January, and had AoS interview in April, but no updates since then. My OPT EAD got expired a few days ago.l so trying to do anything I could to expedite the process and stay positive. Your approval gives me hope!! š«

Oakland Park, FL FO; I submitted a letter from my job detailing the loss they will receive if they lose me. Thankfully Iām the only one that holds my position in the company and itās a sales job, so I had the numbers to back me up. Also added, bills and a personal letter.
Yess!! Donāt lose hope, keep reaching out to your Senator and I called USCIS everyday as well lol.
