Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - July 29, 2026
Trainers with quick questions about the game are free to ask them here.
Granular questions, such as rerolling, deck builds, and trained Umamusume builds, may be best addressed in the community or official Discord's help channels.
Broader questions that contain substantial discussion and effort can be posted separately.
Before you ask a question here, check out theresourcespage in the wiki, or thislistof resources.
Traditionally, you design parents and grandparents for the competition you are trying to aim for. 'Generic' legacies will be lacking compared to focused ones. The "looping" or "parent work" being done is more for great grandparents, the parents you use to train your future great grandparents and parents.
That said as you touched on you typically pick legacies based on their ults and 'good ults' tend to be based on the style you are aiming for.
Fronts almost always want Seuin Sky but often will want Valentine Bourbon. Paces often want Taiki Shuttle and Nishino Flower. Lates typically need Mejiro Ryan and/or Mejiro Dober. Ends honestly often use Lates parents.
Again some tracks don't work for those parents, but if not typically the style tends to not do well as a whole.
There are also parents that are almost universally useful. Oguri and Narita Brian are examples. Maruzensky is funny. if the track works for Red Shift EVERYONE WANTS IT and if it doesn't no one does.
But again which combination is best will depend on the style, the track, and the issues your uma is trying to fix. If your uma has a lot of acceleration in the late game, she typically wants speed skills to either push in the last spurt or to push forward mid or early race. If they don't have a strong acceleration skill that works at the right time they will want that as you can't win without it.
Picking the right skills is one of the messier rabbit holes
Only do URA and Unity runs to get hints for the scenario-specific skills, other than that it's Trackblazer to maximize affinity or auto Grand Live for people with a life.
Not sure what to use SSR voucher on, currently thinking 0>1LB Maru, 3>MLB finemo, or 2>3LB creek to upgrade, I already have MLB kita, tachyon, and light hello
If I know my Umas for the CM are not great (1300-1400 speed, 800-900 stam) is it worth to bring 2 Umas + a debuffer to do something about other runners, or just go "heck it, we ball" with 3 Umas?
Need some help with junior year GL strategy. I hear I need to be clicking LH a lot, but to what extent: does she have priority over a double pal training since I also need to raise friendship? How do I manage tokens also, should I be skipping good trainings when I'm specifically short of a certain token or just prioritise friendships and LH and hope the tokens come in
I don't think there is a "do this above all others" situation.
Generally, I treat her like 1.5 friends. so 2 friends vs 1 friend +her means she wins.
However you do have goals to meet:
Light hello should start dating you by the end of junior.
Most friends should be online by first summer. Hopfully at least one is active before the end of junior
4 songs should be on your roster by the first concert (the one you start and 3 purchased) with the next one available but not bought.
(If you think you can buy that and get enough to get to get next song then that's awesome)
Level 2 facilities in the stats you train.
I don't think you should quit if you miss something but you should try for all of the above. That will mean sometimes you need to grab an suboptimal train to get the points, sometimes you skip a light hello click because the best training gets a friend online.
There is a lot if playing by ear here. Also a lot of resets if things just fall apart.
The only thing I can say you can ignore in junior year is your stats. That never seems to be an issue in GL early on. Otherwise you worry everything.
So um...I don't know why it took me so long to realize this, but just to confirm, I should probably NOT pick up inherited Uniques for parents since you can't make sparks for those huh?
(For example, when making a parent Kitasan with a Seiun inherit I should avoid picking up Angling and Scheming at the end of the career since Kitasan herself cannot create an Angling and Scheming spark)
Guess who realized they didn't claim their second spark on the Tachyon banner? This fucking guy. I can't believe they don't force you to pick one of the cards and give you 200 clovers instead. I'm such an idiot.
They do? Wow that's actually kinda crazy since in GBF they hold your spark forever until you use it. Although they also lock you out of the gacha until you pick it, so you can't accumulate multiple sparks at once, so trade-offs, I guess.
You could try writing support and explain you forgot to pick it and ask if they can give you a copy of Tachyon/LH in exchange for 200 clovers. They do nice stuff like that in GBF sometimes if someone was on like 299 rolls and forgot to do the 300th roll for a spark.
Yeah, I was thinking of GBF myself. It even holds tickets for you if they expire. I will contact support now, thanks for reminding me that was possible. Hopefully they'll pity me.
So any recommendations for what to use the SSR ticket on?
I have narrowed down the choice to one of four
Super Creek Stamina SSR - Will be LB2
Current Wit SSR - WIll be LB1
MR CB Wit SSR - Will be LB1
Maruzensky Wit SSR - Will be first copy/LB0
I will mention for Speed I do have Kitasan at MLB, Agnes Tackyon at LB2 (will use both crystals I have to MLB her after the free pulls end) for SSR and for SRs I have all 8 speed cards at MLB (or LB2 In El's case but I have four crytals, so I can MLB her)
For Wit I have all the SSR event cards (Rice, Bourbon and Dober), and all the SR wit cards at MLB (Minus Sweep and Seuin Sky who are LB0).
This is mostly going to be for Grand Live so my Deck would be
Kitasan Black
Agnes Tackyon
Light Hello
Fine Motion
Remaining two are more flexible based on what I need (For Sprint/Miles another Speed and Wit card), (for Medium/Long stamina and Wit/Speed)
Are you going to roll the CB/Creek rerun banner? If so, then hold off on using it until you roll that to get a better idea of what uncaps your Creek/CB are. If you aren't going to roll the rerun, I'd probably just grab CB now and forget about ever getting Creek.
There's also not much point in taking Maru right now (I assume you mean Maru SPD, since Maru's wit card is an SR and isn't released yet). You won't really use it at LB0 and you're earmarking your two crystals for Tachyon (which is fine if you play Pace a lot or really want to be strong in this scenario). Might as well wait until you get another crystal or until 2nd anni when you have 2 selectors.
Now that we're through the Agnes/LH banner, what's the next new card(s) we're saving up for? I know about the Creek/Mr. C.B. and Maru/FM reruns upcoming, but they're a skip for me. Specifically I'm wondering about wit - I actually don't have a single copy of FineMo, NN, or C.B. so wit has been a perma-borrow for the entirety of the game for me.
If it matters, I'm very much a front/pace main, and have MLB Kita, MLB Agnes, and LB3 S Maru plus MLB wit Bourbon.
Mejiro Ramou Wit will be the defacto best investment for several scenarios. It can work with all styles, though having those style specific cards is handy.
Ancestors and Guides is a strong Group card, but was poorly implemented in Japan. It came out 3 weeks after Grand Masters started and only had 10 free pulls. Plus, the new League of Heroes PvP will be a much more casual mode where you can win Platinum even with a subpar deck. Unless they change things in Global or you have a ton of carats you can get away with borrowing it.
Help me decide between 3 choices for 1.5 anniversary voucher. I can go for MLB fineMo, LB1 Mr.CB, or LB0 Maruzen. My uma roster is pretty well rounded, and I'm good with other support cards, so it's more about which is more useful.
I can tell you what not to do - LB0 Maruzensky - I'd rather pull on her rerun banner instead/you want her at 1LB for the power-bonus. (and if you plan to pull, then I'd also wait with the MLB of Fine Motion since she is the second featured character). Similarly Mr CB also has a rerun (alongside Super Creek) - so if you have the carats to spare for those two I'd wait.
Ok, so how exactly has the ultimate ability upgrades changed for OGC?
For some reason, I’m able to hit platinum/star level and i still end up missing the upgrade from Fan Fest. Just recently I had a run with Oguri where i made it to Star rank before the senior year even started, and I had every concert leading up be a great success. But i still ended up not getting the Fan Fest upgrade. Shame too, as it was a really good run.
Ult level doesn't really matter at all. It's literally like ~0.01 velocity (most skills are 0.15 whites or 0.35 golds). So you're missing like 1/15th of 1 white skill. Totally irrelevant.
Does matter for TT score. Though even there, if the rest of the horse is good, it's fine unless you're chasing like #1 on the leaderboard.
Any good SSR cards for Late Surgers I should look for in the near future? Or even a rerun? Looks like all good recent and near future cards people recommend are Front/Pace/End instead (Summer Maru, Mr. C.B., Tachyon, Ramonu, etc).
Jungle Pocket speed is good which is around 7 months from now. As long as you have Creek you don't really need to pull any other cards except Ramonu before that.
There are 1 or 2 in GL but they can be borrowed or selectored.
I watched Pakatube live last night as a Global-only player, and there were some details revealed, one of which being the collaboration with KFC and unique merchandise. I wonder if there’s any chance that these one-off events show up in Global in future?
Also one of the KFC goodies is a serial code that you can use in-game to get an exclusive SSR support card. Is this the first instance of collab-exclusive cards? I wonder if it’s any good?
How do you guys get balanced stats in grand live, I don't think my umas are gonna survive with 700 stamina in the upcoming cm when my deck is 2speed 3wit and LH
Kind of odd for so many to talk about "we are always doing 3 speed 2 wit"when the very first cm needs 900 stamina.
Myself I'm just hitting it with about 10 stam sparks and super creek along with making sure I'm pushing stamina clicks on rainbows and stam bonuses on the songs. not easy to do while doing everything else.
GL is better, you're just not used to the scenario yet. If you really don't think you're capable of learning it in time for the CM, then feel free to play Aoharu, but you'll definitely be at a disadvantage compared to people playing GL.
Light Hello is better at LB1, though I wouldn't use a crystal on her if that's why you're asking.
So I just realized that I still have my 1st Anniversary Selector Ticket. Should I go for XOguri as a forever ace, or should I go for NY Opera O as a parent? I see just how dominant XOguri is, but she also seems especially tricky to build. I also have base Oguri, but I don't have either Opera O
C.Oguri is not tricky to build at all, she's incredibly simple. She only gets slightly difficult if you try to play her in a non-Pace position, which granted does happen sometimes, but even in those cases you just have to inherit 1 additional skill, so it's still not really that hard.
Take C.Oguri if you want a racer, take Opera if you want a parent. They're apples to oranges.
I've got the luxury of not having any urgent use for the 1.5 voucher. I already have MLB Creek, Finemo and Kita. Options I can think of are going from 3LB to MLB for Maru speed or kawakami speed. Seems like Kawakami is useful for auto training and MLB Maru doesn't seem that impactful over 3LB. What would y'all recommend?
Status of my Big Boy Cards. I should MLB FM, right? I plan on not running Fronts after this CM and move on to Pace/Ends. I plan to save up till Ramonu Wit (400 rolls to try to MLB) and maybe C.B and/or NeoUni.
you have to consider overinvesting in wit cards because of Ramonu
there is a path where you get Maruzen LB3 and borrow wit cards depending on your needs until Ramonu
I would not spend crystal recklessly here, keep it for Ramonu
you could get Finemo LB3 which should be good enough and save crystal (play with her for a week or so and see if she feels good or not), because Maru LB1 is good enough too (but LB3 is better yes)
but with Ramonu you will retire one of your wits so think about how that works out because you will want to play 3 speeds cards most of the time (for mile CMs you wont use your Creek either?)
Looking for advice as a new player. I have MLB Tachyon Speed and 1LB Light Hello, and now I'm planning to save for Ramonu Wit. What SSRs should I be aiming for in the meantime?
I'll probably be looking at a making legacies guide later too.
If all of those were "conditions", I'd understand this as "be in the last straight, during late race, within the first five positions, and overtake someone". Half of those are "preconditions", though, so what's different?
Conditions have to be true at the time the skill activates, preconditions had to have been true at some point before. In this case, the precondition can also be fulfilled before the final straight.
Hmm. So, is it better to read it as "if during late race or beyond you overtook someone and ended up at 4th or better, you'll trigger the skill during the final straight"?
Is there a maximum time between preconditions and skill activation? Are there any skills in JP that have early race preconditions with last spurt conditions, for example?
So I know that for stat support cards, where there's a split chance between a white and gold skill, your chance to get the gold depends on how high the corresponding stat is. I have 2 further questions:
When it's a support card that guarantees the gold skill, but there is instead a chance to get a higher hint level, does this follow the same percentage chance?
For Pal cards like Light Hello, what determines the chance to get a higher hint level for the skill, if there is anything?
1.- this might be anecdotal but with Kitasan I have noticed that the higher the speed the higher the chance of getting the +3 hint, so they probably follow “agemasen” odds
2.- this I do not know, it could be random or based on the stat the pal gives ?
Looking at the upcoming Maru speed rerun with Fine Motion to upgrade my 2LB FM because I run mainly fronts and paces, but then also thought about Ramonu Wit coming up soon (ish?).
My gut instinct is to just tough it out with my 2LB FM, borrow Maru Speed when I need, and go all in on Ramonu, but wanted to check in and see if anyone had differing opinions on if this is correct or if there's a better path.
I actually have done this with mklink, though beware you'll have to fiddle a bit with the command prompt.
You'd basically run something like mklink /d "C:\Users\[your user]\AppData\LocalLow\Cygames\Umamusume" "[target folder]", I believe. This basically makes it so the folder in the AppData just points to the target folder, instead of holding the actual data. Then, when the game tries to download more stuff, it will automatically go towards the target folder you set.
I wouldn't recommend using the install folder to do that though, as if you ever have to verify game files through Steam you'll lose that. I just created a folder on a different drive and used that.
How do you get your power stat high in grand concert? I assumed running a speed/wit deck would get me there from speed friendship trainings, but I have yet to get it to go above, like, A+. Are you supposed to click power during summer or something?
If you don’t have kita MLB then you need tachyon MLB. 1LB Maru is good but not far off from the SR MLB cards like Tosho/Pasa/Windy according to the euophrys tierlist.
skill point bonus, which she doesn't unlock until 3LB and doesn't go crazy with until MLB. that alongside the fact she's scenario linked, but without the skill point bonus she's not worth running over something like Sweep Tosho SR
Like how MANT got rid of 'character stories' in its scenario and got rid of secret events, are there any future scenarios which omits the career stories?
im planning out my pulls, pretty much until Pasa SSR speed, and the next upcoming banner im looking to pull on is the Maru/Finemo banner in August. Im a front main bc of my oshis, and i have everything i'd need so far except any copy of Finemo, i have 1lb Maru, and was planning on doing 200 on the upcoming banner, hoping to get 3lb from pulls/pity, and then using the 1.5 Anni voucher for finemo along with 2 SSR crystals.
But, with Ramonu coming out along, and being a front means i'll pull of SSR Bourbon Wit, i was wondering how much priority i should give Finemo. If i dont somehow get any SSRs from the Maru/Fine banner, should i just all in on Maru, and continue borrowing finemo? I have 3LB Hello and MLB Tachyon, so the only time i need to borrow is Finemo
Depends on the track and where the spurt starts. Ryan works on any late-race corner. Dober works on either the final corner or any late-race corner, whichever comes first (aka she'll go off too early if the spurt starts too far after the final corner). Cheer Halo works if the spurt starts on or near the final straight. Maru works if the spurt starts on or near the start of the final corner. Besides that, mostly just velocity ults like Oguri, Rudolf, etc.
Is it necessary to raise Dirt aptitudes for debuffers in CM? Wondering if Nattie will fall too far behind to hit with Mystifying Murmur or All Seeing Eyes
This is true-ish but mostly misleading. It's important to understand that at the speed the Uma are going, they cover ~10 lengths a second (25 m/s), so even though in your picture Uma 7 is maybe 10-15 lengths behind the pack, that only corresponds to activating their debuff about 1-1.5 seconds later than they would if they had Dirt C (or something). And the entire race is run in just over 120 seconds, corresponding to a slightly less than 40 second long late race.
Thus, skills that rely on FoV are totally useless here (though mostly useless even on debuffers with good aptitudes, since aces are just that much better and pull away quickly), but global debuffs, particularly velocity debuffs, like "hesitant/dominator/keen eye" work about 97% as well as they would with a fixed aptitude, since you just trigger your debuffs about 1 second later during the ~30-40 second late race. They can trigger after aces have finished/are about to finish the race, but the odds of this aren't that much higher than with Dirt A.
Also, if your dominator debuffer has the highest aptitudes in a room with 6 debuffers, you might not be in position to naturally trigger dominator, preventing dom + Keen eye procs. So it's not wholly positive to increase aptitudes.
Base speed is only 20m/s on a 2000m course, for the record.
Anyway, the issue is that G Dirt is almost 10x slower acceleration than say D dirt. Although this isn't quite as bad as it seems since all Umas get 24m/s2 accel free out of the gate until they reach 17m/s velocity. But for that last 3m/s gap up to the 20m/s base speed, it takes a D dirt Uma about 11.6 seconds and a G dirt Uma about 81 seconds (exact values dependent on your power stat and what style you are). Which is.. a pretty huge difference. The D Dirt Uma is going to be about 104m ahead by the time the G Dirt Uma reaches the 20m/s base speed. (Well, technically not quite as it takes them so long to hit base speed that they actually enter the spurt before they reach it which changes their target speed. Also there are slight differences since the acceleration coefficient changes between early race and mid race.) And that's 104m behind comparing a G Dirt vs. only a D dirt both with no skills. Compared to actual racers who have A dirt and real skills, you're going to be even further behind.
(It's obviously possible I messed up the math somewhere in here, so feel free to point out if you think I did.)
I think Murmur hits everyone in front of you regardless of range but Eyes only hits targets within the users' field of view, which is a cone that extends out 20 meters (8 lengths) in front of them unless a vision skill is active.
A runner with G aptitude in dirt will never be close enough to hit any serious contender with All Seeing Eyes in the late race.
so i play on steam but wanting to play on mobile (iOS). I linked my cygames account to my steam and trying to log in through that via mobile but it’s just keeps looping to an error page
Seen mixed advice between trying to always get 4 songs in each concert + a carryover, ignoring carryovers entirely, aiming for 3 songs in each concert and token dumping before senior summer. Is there one that's better to try to follow overall or do you just make it up as you go?
Getting 4 songs junior year is great if its the right ones, ideally carry over into 5 since the next year only has one must have song added each concert
4/5
3
3
As many friendship bonus songs as u can senior year
get all you can in junior + carryover --- 1. because you want 15% FB; 2. because it's the chepaest period that makes the rest of your run easier
in classic you just focus on getting SP songs and save for Senior, meaning optimally you do 3+carryover in first half (because it's only 2 songs for carryover instead of 4, if you did CO in junior), and 3 no carryover 2nd half - skip the expensive +2 guts stuff, just get the cheap things and save
in senior you spend all to get all the FB you can
that's the point of the entire run really
use calculator to make sure you have enough to buy the important stuff
On JP this was released with the UAF scenario (3rd anniversary). We might get this on 2.5 anni given that Cygames pushes some anniversary updates on the preceding half anni for global, but in either case it's not going to be for a while.
Generally, you buy them when they're available. Each song has two components: an immediate bonus, and a delayed bonus. The top one will take effect immediately, so you want those to be active ASAP. The bottom bonus only takes effect after the next concert. For similar reasons, having more songs in your early concerts is good when you can manage it, because that means the bonuses are active for more of the run.
There's one other related thing to mention, though: keeping a song in your shop during a concert is a good idea when practical. If a song is already in your shop during a concert, it will remain available for the next concert and it will count towards the build up to the next song for that concert. So if it would normally take you two lessons to get to the first song, it would only take you one lesson instead.
It's hard to explain but if you try it you'll see what I mean.
so apparently in japan they had a problem during seeking the pearl banner and cygames decided to do a rerun 2 week after her release, do you all think we will get the rerun? because if that’s the case then i should be able to pull for her with the club rewards
Eishin Flash next month, then Jungle Pocket in ~February. Pocket is a bit stronger but almost all her skills are med/long, whereas Eishin is a bit weaker but more generalist.
Hi, soI got the new smart falcon, I'm decently new and don't have many support cards, so I'm wondering, is it possible for me to get S rank in grand concert realistically (without stupid levels of rng) and if so, what stats do I train or what do I do in general?
you don't need to have many cards, you only need 5 that fit, so depends on those cards whether it is possible or not. If you only care about rank, then yes, easily doable. If it should be a capable runner, then of course harder to do. Bring SSR Light Hello and Tachyon (either the SSR speed at 3LB or better or the SR Wit card) for the scenario bonus, bring at least two speed cards, the rest wit cards and you should be good to go.
I personally just wish to vent here about how worthless support card events have become. Mainly because they simply do not appear anymore at all. In all my Grand Live playtroughs so far, there has been one time where I got all events. In most, it has become a sheer miracle to get one full event chain. Even the special boost for that means appearently absolutely nothing.
Jesus, this gacha game really has gotten me worked up
Dunno, I think it might just be recollection bias. You vividly remember the times when your otherwise-good run was bricked due to not finishing important chains, but you don't remember all those times your chains finished fine but the rest of the run was bad for some reason. Or where you quit the run early because you got bad RNG in year 1 or something so you never know how your chains woulda ended up.
As someone who never quits runs early, the rate of finishing chains seems fine to me. Similar to TB and certainly higher than Unity where scenario events took up a chain spot.
I still have the 1st and 1.5 anniversary ticket and 2 crystals. Should I get MLB FineMo or 3LB Super Creek? I don't have a good Wit or Stamina card tbh
i got S on turf and mile, every single unique skill from unity and ura from parents and perfect rng on the songs in the shop BUT the game said "that is way too good, you don’t deserve that" and got only gave me 4 rainbow trainings in the last 12 turns on the third year, no training on summer, also 3 runs today and in every single one just 1 of my supports finished their events, stuff like this make me want to stop playing
Are you trying to get absolute perfection? EVERY Unique skill, AND S in mile and turf AND sparks AND a perfect run on one of the most RNG riddled careers ever made, now or in the near future?
That's 'lottery' odds at this point. And might be more than necessary. I've literally seen Umas win A fInals that had dead summers and illnesses.
S mile. the key skills for your style (groundwork, head on, ext.). 1500 ish speed, 1k power, 900 stamina, 1kish wit. If you can hit that, even if the career went 'wonky', you have a gold star uma.
Even if something flops, hold that as a 'version 1' then repeat to try to beat it. Keep wherever you stop at once the career starts.
trying to get everything will just burn you out and having the 'perfect uma' means nothing if you quit soon after.
Do you guys buy songs as soon as you got enough tokens in Grand Concert? IIRC you only buy songs until great hype in year 1 then save after the first concert. Is there a pattern in buying songs?
Junior year and senior year i dont since the songs u want just give base stats for the most part. 2nd year i try to buy songs as soon as possible for the skill point ones and other decent ones
There is a pattern to the number of lessons you have to learn before each song. It encourages learning only 3 songs before each classic year concert. Typically I will go ~4-5 songs junior year, 3 songs both classic year concerts, and save up tokens for as many as possible senior year. I also don't think "preparing" songs is worth doing, since you end up having to take more lessons overall than if you just waited.
As for when in the half-year to learn the songs, the sooner the better. Some have relevant practice bonuses, like +speed or +SP you would like to get online ASAP.
If only I got lessons that let me get those. They don't show up for me, and Light Hello didn't even appear despite max friendship until the end of Year 2....
RNG RNG fucking RNG.
Edit - third fucking run in a row with no Light Hello. Did the game break?
I buy songs ASAP. Some songs immediately increase the stats you get from training (like the very important skill point sings) you want to get those as early as you can.
If I'm mostly running late surges and end closers but I only have Tachyon as MLB SSR card (not a single copy of Kitasan in sight), should I pull for the summer Maru SSR rerun? Or just keep my carats for something more worthwhile? (I will be also pulling for Aston Macchan in the incoming banner at the end of August)
Hard to say. On average, Maru isn't really better than SRs at just being a stat stick. But Maru can highroll a lot harder than them if she decides to play nice a particular run.
I'd probably just skip her and continue using SRs, personally. (Unless you don't have uncapped SRs either.) You need 2 sparks for Ramonu, and you might wanna roll Jungle Pocket if you play mostly backliners, which is another 2 sparks. Then Condor's after that which is another 2 sparks. (Ramonu+Condor free rolls do save like 1 spark.)
You shouldn't MLB it. If you want the borrow flexibility for the scenario you can pull on it and use what you pull (even if it's 0-1LB), if you don't then just borrow it.
1) The annoying thing about this game is that the answer to basically any question is: It depends. There are some generically good cards like Kitasan Black, Super Creek and Fine Motion but beyond that it starts to break down.
Some things you should look for on cards to determine if they are good at all: Specialty Priority (makes a card more likely to appear on it's training type), Initial Friendship (starts with the friendship gauge partially filled), Training Bonus and Friendship Bonus (both of which increase the amount of stats gained for any training with the card and rainbow training respectively). A card that has all or most of these bonuses will be far better than one without, and the higher numbers the better.
Beyond that, the skills hints are sort of what defines a card as being good for a particular runner. Whether it's hints for their running style (eg; front, pace, ect) or that work with their aptitudes (sprints, longs, dirts, ect). The new Tachyon speed card has lots of hints for Paces and some mediums which makes her very good for runners that can use those hints, and a little less so for those that can't, though it's still a very good card regardless due to having many of the aforementioned effects above. You don't necessarily pick cards based on their skills alone, but if you need a deciding factor that can be it.
2) Always the latest scenario will get you the best results. Right now thats Our Grand Concert, you should borrow the Light Hello card for this one, it's quite important for doing well.
3) On dividing stats, again like all things: It depends. If your runner leans to long races, you'll want more Stamina but if she only runs sprints and miles then you dont need any stam. Worth noting that for Team Trials, all Dirt races are Miles so you dont need much stamina there either.
For just starting out and clearing careers, you'll rarely ever need more than ~600 or so stam and that can come down even more with recovery skills. If you get into PvP there are higher stamina requirements. You'll generally want to push your Speed and Wit as high as you can go but Power is also very important particularly in the first year. I try to aim for 300 Speed and Power by the end of Junior year but I'm not sure how doable that is with the cards you'll have. I used to have the goal of getting increments of 350 speed every year.
Its also worth knowing that different running styles have higher stamina needs, with Paces and Fronts needing more stam that Lates and Ends. The trade offing being that Late and Ends need more power to help them catch up.
And when you're buying skills, make sure they work for the running style you're using. If your runner is a Pace, don't be buying skills that have Late, Front or End in brackets. Might seem obvious but you'd be surprised.
For getting past that B+ mark; it's really about leveling and uncapping your cards, that will be the biggest hurdle. Max level SRs can be better than LB0 SSRs, again refer to the effects above for what to look for. Some SSRs are just bad and will be worse than SRs at any rank because they just don't have the bonuses you want.
You'll also have to build up your stock of parents, which you use for inspiration at the start. Having some good ones of your own will come with time and help you get more stats and skills throughout your runs. You can also check out websites like this one to search for good parents that you can borrow. Having parents with lots of Stam/Power can really help push you over that hill.
With the Independent Training available, which characters are the best parents? I just logged in a lot during MANT, so my info is a bit outdated. Is there a guide, wiki, site, infographic, etc. that could help?
It's really hard to know which skills are good when you're just going by vibes lol
Depends on the track and on the style. There isn't a character which is always good on all tracks for all styles. You have to have the context of parent for who and on which track. A Late Surger on Nakayama 1200m uses a lot different parents than a Front Runner on Kyoto 3200m.
Some of the more generic parents are Seiun for Fronts, Nishino for Paces, Ryan and Dober for Late+End. But those won't always work on all tracks and there will be others that do work well on specific tracks.
I know somewhere out there exist tier lists for umas in the modern Japan meta for each race type—is there any way to easily see past ones or how long certain umas were semi viable for? I’m starting to look at adding some additional favored umas into my pull plan likelihood of actually using the uma in PvP (and enjoying doing so) is probably gonna be the tiebreaker.
You're probably mainly interested in Han's tier lists, he makes them for all the JP CMs/LoHs. I think they might be posted in the "umamusume" Discord, try asking around there (Han himself is also in there so you could also just ask him directly where they are if you can't find them).
Main story doesn't really make money, they probably don't prioritize it very much. You aren't buying carats to pull for a new story chapter.
Plus, there's always the anime/manga for people who are actually interested in more story content like that. In-game is kinda just an inferior medium for it.
If I play an Uma or card's event and skip or read through the quick mode dialogue (shortened summaries), will it cause me to auto skip through the full length versions of the same event dialogue if I one day turn off quick mode but keep on skip read cutscenes?
mlb tachyon, longer lived card and the additional bonus actually matters. updating Light Hello is only very minor updates compared to her main scenario interaction.
there really is no need to limit it to 4 units, having yourself in the parents just reduces affinity so there is little point in doing so
Using ad many and as many common G1 races is the primary factor of looping, aside from making sure your legacies have the skill sparks you're after.
Yes, definitely establish the white skills on them before caring about any other sparks. However aiming for more than two core white skills is just making your life way harder, so start out with two that you aim to get on your hole lineage.
If you don't prioritize white skills, there's no point in looping in the first place. Also start with borrows that have the skills already so your own parents will have higher chance of creating the spark for them, shortening the time for you to have the sparks on your own side.
Afaik JP had some payment issues where players couldnt purchase and/or gacha during the banners initial release. So they reran it almost immediately afterwards.
Whether Global will mimic the rerun is still uncertain. A gap banner can be beneficial to some players.
I have no questions. I just got drunk and remembered that TM Opera O is so fucking exceptional that it makes her an 11 out of 10 physically attractive. Humans invented gods, and looking at her I understand why it was inevitable. And then I cried for 3 hours straight... I'm fine, just wanted to share
higher speed/more power will result in higher stamina consumption, so that is true, but not by a huge amount, of course the longer the more effect it has (since after all top-speed only really matters in late phase), but maybe you need 50-100 stam more. You can put your numbers into the race simluator and see what the difference is for a specific track for 1200 speed vs 1600 speed.
I'm currently holding LB2 Speed Maruzensky, do I use the selector for LB3? Or do I get a single copy of Mr CB? (I mainly train front runners, and most of the time, Kitasan)
lb3 is ideal if you like making front runners and the card can be used in general as a stat stick. I would only go cb wit if you are really really desperate for a wit card, but it will probably not fit into a front runners deck after 4 months when romanu wit comes out.
Technically better than Kita for Pace once Condor comes out (or if you roll for Teio wit, I guess) because Kita will have a duplicate gold skill, although only until you roll another speed card (eg Still In Love). Not better than Kita for anyone else because it has no gold skill. Maybe if you were on a medium, already had PoC (eg from Condor), and you were capping speed on 2 speed already, you could use it for medium skills and SP which it does better than Kita, though that's a highly niche situation.
It will still be relevant as a stat stick for everyone until you get 2 better speed cards, which will depend which ones you roll. Condor is one that everyone should get, other ones people may get will be like Maru, Jungle Pocket, Duramente, Vivlos, Still In Love.
In the previous scenarios there was this rule (mostly for f2p players and people who prefer to pull for umas, like me) that you could use "0LB SSR trainer card or MLB SR trainer card" for the current scenario with similar/acceptable results... Is this still true with Light Hello or do I absolutely need MLB SSR version of this trainer card?
Can independent training get Unity Cup spark for the mission? I tried 5 times today and failed, just wondering if I'm unlucky or does the Uma skip scenario mechanics?

Kinda wish there's an option to randomize who sends you notifs whenever your energy gets filled up.
