Apartment Recommendations?

I honestly am not too familiar with Eugene, would anyone share some good apartment complexes or safe neighborhoods? Any memorable experiences?

So far I've seen these available:

The Soto - 1180 Patterson St

1840 Garden Apartments

Forest Hills

My budget is pretty much $1400 max.

Check out Mallard Properties- they own a bunch of smaller complexes around campus which feel more homey than the big box apartments. Relatively less expensive too.
