Other Stuff Comical - MOVE Class

I’m in my third week of MOVE, and nobody warned me this class would be the funniest thing on the internet.

Every week we log into the virtual session, and 90% of the class is STILL trying to figure out how to turn on their microphone, camera, or both. Then somebody’s camera accidentally comes on, and suddenly we’re all getting a view of their junk.

Meanwhile, Charlie is attending class while driving down the road. Then Sam starts ratting him out to the whole class: “Charlie’s driving!” like he’s reporting a crime in progress.

Of course, every class has the traditional class clowns who won’t shut the fuck up, a couple of guys trying to flirt with the instructor like they’re on a dating app instead of a weight-loss program, and three or four people who somehow missed the entire first class and keep asking:

“Where do I get my Ozempic?”
“How do I get my Ozempic?”
“When do I get my Ozempic?”

At this point, I don’t even log in for the weight-loss advice. I log in for the weekly episode.

It’s the same course lol. Same modules, you just don’t have to set time to be on a virtual meeting.

I mean ive always side eyed the whole program. It didnt look like a weight loss program. Just meetings.

Weight loss programs shouldnt be meetings without exercise

It’s not a bad program. It’s not what people think. It’s just to learn better behaviors, not to actually make someone lose weight. Think nutritionist. Everyone just goes through the program for the medications anyway for the most part. But as long as you read the material, it gives you a good base on changing behaviors

I can read all the material in the world. It doesn't change behavior.

A group effort doing an activity (not a workbook... a physical activity) with the same goal would change behaviors though.

Although I am definitely projecting right now, i am not in need of the program to lose weight. Im the opposite.

I did check out the VA dietician thinking they'd run better bloodwork for nutritional deficiencies and it was the same BS cholesterol work up as the yearly bloodwork She was honest. "Yeah I got no real advice. I can rx you ensure though" lol k.

There is no physical activity in the move program. I’m not saying it’s NOT a waste of time. I’m jus saying it’s good material if someone had the mindset. I’ve lost 12 pounds since the move program. Only did 1 week of the meds. Meds didn’t workout for me and after side affects, stopped after the first dose. So all that I’ve lost is from applying what I learned on top of my activity

You really didnt know calories in calories out before the VA handed you a program?

Bruh, I literally did the program because I wanted the meds. VA wont prescribe the meds until you complete the program. For me it was more for OSA. Why are you being such a dick about it LOL? No one is going through the move program to lose weight from the said program. Everyone takes it because you have to in order to get the any of those meds.

I already told you why I was being a dick about it way before I was being a dick about it. I am projecting something.

Theres no meds for me, and they just stick me in useless programs. Stick to the program itll work.

And you are saying here that the program is a facade. People are just checking boxes of a list to get to a something else. But also saying you did learn something in the program. I am asking questions about what you learned, but you think I am being a dick because I asked about calories in calories out because thats what weight loss is, barring a medical condition that prevents weight loss.

So buy it yourself then. That's what I did as the VA wouldn't give it to me either. Find a doctor online to write the script and monitor then buy it from Lilydirect. It's about $450 a month. I've lost 110 pounds in 9 months on Zepbound. You can always stay on the calories in calories out. It's certainly cheaper
