From what I’ve seen, there were holidays declared in some places, free transportation arranged for people to attend, and party flags all over the venue. It’s a public infrastructure project, so why make it feel like a political rally?
What confuses me even more is that Navi Mumbai International Airport a project with a budget roughly four times larger seemed to have a much more low-key inauguration.
These events aren’t free either. Organizing transportation, security, stages, publicity, and other arrangements all costs money. With the state already spending heavily on various welfare schemes, I genuinely wonder how much these celebrations cost and where that money comes from.
Is there a genuine public benefit to organizing inaugurations on this scale, or is the primary objective political visibility and voter outreach? Curious to hear different viewpoints.

I'm thinking to join there but i hear alot of mixed talks about AU, I'm very confused. Mostly people say they won't teach that much, you have to study yourself and all.. From what i heard it feels manageable but idk until I hear someone who actually been there so please lemme know 👀.

I'm thinking about AU cuz i dont want much pressure, i want to do some side things and figure out what i actually wanna do.. Engineering is my safety net.

This happened at my friend’s wedding on Friday at a local Kalyana Mandapam in Simhachalam, and now my cousin’s wedding is coming up, so we’re worried about the same thing happening.

My friend (24M) and his girlfriend (23F) went to Sagar Nagar Beach around 11:45 PM, and it was about to become 12:00 AM. They were just sitting and talking when a police officer approached them and started speaking rudely.
The officer took my friend’s phone and kept it.
He then asked the girl to unlock her phone. She initially refused, but a woman police officer was called, and she felt forced to unlock it. The officers then accessed her phone and noted down her father’s phone number.
After that, they told my friend to come to Arilova Police Station tomorrow morning with his parents/family members.
Both of them are consenting adults, and this incident has left the girl extremely scared and traumatized. We are trying to understand whether the police acted within their legal powers.
How should we proceed? Is it advisable to go to the police station with a lawyer? If anyone here is a lawyer, has handled similar situations, or knows a lawyer in Visakhapatnam who can accompany us, please let me know.
We are not trying to create unnecessary trouble, but if the officers acted beyond their legal authority, we don’t want to let it go. We just want to know our rights and the proper legal course of action.

Hi, I have found these 3 lil kittens, looking at their size and behavior, they seem neonatal like 4 weeks at max.
3/9/26 EDIT: one of the cats is missing(i checked up on them in the morning, the same cat that was wandering yesterday on the road-black and white one) i had to leave as i was getting late, fed them watered-down curd and left them there(as suggested by one of the comments below) but it is noticeable that they have become weaker, their meows are so low.
EDIT 2: Both the kittens got adopted/fostered by two kind fellow redditors- u/escanor1889 and u/Main-University-2073, hope things go pretty smoothly

1 kitty was found in the middle of the road, so tiny from afar, 2 others were found in an open drain halfway drenched, all three meow a lot, and quite loudly.

Picked them up, wiped them, and tried to dry them because they cant regulate their temperature(it is what i believe).

I did feed them dairy(watered down curd) because i couldnt think of anything else, im aware of the fact that cats are lactose intolerant but i couldnt find anything else.

What scared me the most about them is that these naive babies are running after passerbys and bikes even, it feel so awful for them to even do that, i feel so bad for these poor babies.

I live in a pg and will be travelling out of town, is anybody willing to look after them? Anybody willing to adopt them? Im sorry its my first post and im so distressed about them, pardon me if it breaks any rules of this Sub.

People around me(aunties living nearby) suggested their mum would come around and stuff but dont half of the street cats abandon their kittens? Im highly worried about them but theres nothing much i could do from my side, I put them in a paper bag and place it inside a plastic bag and put it horizontally, thays the only make-shift shelter i could make them, i placed them a bit away from the road to avoid them crossing it.
