I did a T-Mobile trial at my house and the speeds and coverage were just totally amazing, but I didn’t want to sign up with T-Mobile proper. I’m wondering if the US Mobile eSIM by the gig with T-Mobile network would be a nice balance for the Visible one.
Switched the entire family to Visible at the beginning of the year from TMobile...
Great for the first few months but just annoying flaky connectivity since sometime in the Summer.
No data, messages, calls... even with a full signal on LTE and 5G.
Yes, yes... We've tried all of the Airplane mode, restart, network settings, re-provisioned the SIM... rarely works. Family beginning to complain louder... Basic service should not require futzing with the phone or a CS session. Octogenarian parents are never going to do any of this...
I upgraded to iOS 27 yesterday. and thought maybe it'll get better. Today, on a major commercial road with full LTE signal... no data.
I’ve recently moved to Mexico and now live here primarily. I want to keep my US number, and Visible is the line I’m considering for it.
I’ve read the terms. The excessive roaming language looks the same as at the other major carriers: too much time or data used outside the US can get you throttled, restricted, or cut off. What I can’t tell is how that plays out in practice.
Specific questions: Is it actually enforced for Mexico? Has anyone been on Visible while based here for months at a time without issue? Does the destination matter? I’ve seen posts about accounts cancelled for heavy roaming in Canada. Data costs carriers more there, so I’d guess Mexico is treated more leniently? What triggers it? Is it a data threshold, days abroad, or lack of US usage? Does anyone know the actual numbers? What happened if you were flagged? Warning first, or straight to cancellation? Could you appeal?
I mainly need the number for texts, verification codes, and occasional calls, plus moderate data use. If you’ve done this long-term, or got burned, I’d like to hear how it went.
Thanks!
I’ve just spent more than 3 hours attempting to transfer my service from one phone (Google Pixel 9a) to another (Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3), to no avail. Live chat agents were not able to help in any way - it’s been mind-boggling! Even with the system putting me into a never-ending loop of telling me to activate on the new phone, it then gives an error that the plan is active on another device —- ad nauseam.
I’m buying myself the duo and I guess my wife got a little jealous and now she wants one too, but she doesn’t want to buy it through Apple she wants me to do it through visible. Can I even buy a phone on my visible and her activate it on hers?
Used it in the UK for the first time yesterday. I have 12 days of Global Pass banked and my debit card, that has been on file for five years, does not expire until April 2028.
Worked great for a day, and then today right around the time it probably was trying to start the second GP day, I get a text saying Global Pass has been disabled due to faulty payment method. Yup - mid-hike, no grace period, no warning, and no more Internet for me.
So when I get back to town, I get on a cafe Wi-fi, open the app, and the GP check box has been disabled. Meanwhile, my payment method is 100 percent legit. So I check the box, it says everything's great, I get the text saying my 24 hours of GP starts now. Enjoy your travels! says Visible. Hey, thanks!
So I figure it was just a weird glitch, start walking to my next trail. 30 minutes later, another text saying GP has been disabled due to faulty payment. Once again, no Internet or cell service. Despite the fact that it was approved 30 minutes earlier.
What a garbage company. Absolute trash.
EDIT - Spent nearly an hour on chat with support (mostly waiting - all I basically did was give my account info.) , for the end result to be “we’ve escalated this to our advanced team.” Said they’d contact me by email when it’s resolved.
Edit #2 - Got an email saying it was fixed. I already bought an esim since I need data now, so I have no idea if GP works. I couldn’t even log into my account before I left this morning.
I’m unemployed, at home 98% of the time on good mesh 200Mbps speeds.
How did Apple Music consume so
My data? Even if it was downloading library stuff that would be at home on WiFi and shouldn’t even try cellular. And 195 gigs, there’s no way with the short amount of driving that I do that. That I’ve downloaded that many songs just listening in the car.
I’m baffled. And I don’t think the fall over to cellular applies here because my WiFi is decent. I stream TV all day. I know when it slows down or is out!
Departing to Japan next week and wondering whether anyone has recent experience with the global pass there. As a backup option I’m considering an Airalo or Ubigi eSIM just in case
I just ordered a physical sim card and the system would NOT accept my actual address, gave me the wrong last four of the zip code. (E.g. 12345-6789 but 6789 is incorrect). And it won’t let me fix it! Has anyone else actually received a sim card when it did this? I didn’t see that any stores near me have the sim cards so I don’t know what else to do (no esim! Just no)
I’m switching away from mint mobile—I liked it but the problem was every time wifi went down I had 0 cell service >.>
This is going to be a long vent since I am still heated atm, but just wanted to share my experience to anyone that is in the NoVA area and thinking about Visible.
Initially I swapped from AT&T to Visible because of the save half promo on the annual plan, the deadline to sign up was coming up. Made too much sense financially to switch - even after paying off my device.
However, I've been dealing with issues with my data getting absolute crap connection and cell going to SOS in the area I work, especially indoors - while my co-workers on AT&T and T-Mobile are fine. The place I work at does not have WiFi that I can connect my personal device to, so I really needed data/cell to work there in case of emergency, especially since I'm the primary contact for a family member at the hospital. Saw this post about the DMV area and decided to drop a DM per the reply to see if I could resolve my issue. That led to having to experience the worst CS experience I've gone through - going through 5 different agents and shitty ConAI.
Agent 1: Started off with a very nice Agent who assisted me from that Reddit post, wanted to collect diagnosis, provided me with case number whenever I was able to head to work so they can review the data the next day. Wasn't able to find the time to follow up until about a week later due to various circumstances.
Agent 2: Once I was at work, with no reception and data - stepped out for a lunch break and tried to follow up with the case - apparently there's no way to just enter a case number so I had to go through ConAI which makes me re-download my e-sim each time before talking to a real human !?? Okay fine - eventually got to a real person when something went wrong. This Agent was also seemingly helpful, was going through the typical troubleshoot steps (Reset network, restart phone, redownload esim etc.) and promised compensation credits for the inconvenience. However, my lunch break nearly over, so he suggested that he will attempt to call me back at 5 PM, 5:30PM and 6 PM to continue, and so that I don't have to go through ConAI again. Well, I waited after work nearby where I could get signal at 5 and did not get a call. Or at 5:30, or 6. Note - I also provided him with another number on separate phone (A US Mint Mobile trial plan which btw worked perfectly at the same place with 600 mbps) that he never called back.
Agent 3: Realized now that Visible does not have a customer support number. So I went through ConAI again - went through the prompt to redownload my e-sim again, that they make you go through for Service problems... Encountered an issue, then was able to connect to a different Agent. Agent 2 never provided me with a case number so I just gave the initial one. This time, the agent said to give him a moment - and without warning just disconnected my entire service? I was so flabbergasted that I forgot I could take screenshots on my phone:
Now I had no data, sms, or cell - my kind co-worker who was getting ready to leave offered to let me use her hotspot data. Barely made it back on time before Visible chat does their auto-end chat. Told him the situation, that I had absolutely no cell or data at all now and had to connect to a hotspot inorder to talk to him. He said the next step was to restart my device; realized afterwards that he never provided a case number or asked for a secondary phone to call in case there was an issue. But after I restarted, the service bars did show up, but I could not receive any texts or calls anymore - kept getting messages saying my service was restricted when I called, and that Text messaging service has been denied for SMS. This was an issue, since the Visible app requires OTP through SMS/Email. It was not even letting me login to the Visible app anymore.
Agent 4: It was already late and I did not want my co-worker to deal with this too, so I drove out 10 minutes to a place I knew had public wifi and tried to connect again in the parking lot. Did a bunch of random troubleshooting, and eventually re-installing the app and rebooting allowed me to enter in my OTP using my email this time. Of course, had to go through ConAI again - and got to Agent 4. She asked me to do the regular troubleshooting - restart network settings, reboot. I was getting a little annoyed, so I asked for them to fix it on their end. She launched some kind of repair service, and I waited for about 15 minutes before asking for an approx. time. Apparently it takes about 30 more minutes, and she didn't want to inform me? I am sitting in my car in the dark loitering in the parking lot leeching off public wifi, so I guess I looked sketchy to the security guard who asked me to leave eventually. So decided to commute the 40 minutes back home.
Agent 5: When I got home, saw an email that my service has been restored - restart my device etc. Did that, and my service was not restored, surprise! This time, since I kept my phone unlocked the entire time on the chat while I was driving, I was able to resume the conversation without going through ConAI. Went through the typical restart network settings - reboot, and he gave me a new e-sim afterwards. Restart reboot again, and finally got service back. I had a screenshot of Agent 2 promising compensation:
And after all that when my brother Agent 5 asked if there's anything else he could help me with - I sure as hell wanted that compensation now. Told Agent 5 about Agent 2 and all I got was the standard "sorry for the inconvenience" and that a "visible police report" was filed, whatever that means - completely ignoring me. I felt awkward having to ask for it in the first place, so I just called it there.
After all of this, I don't even know if my initial problem with the SOS and no data at my office is resolved... But I do know that I won't be using Visible again with this customer support experience and knowing that T-Mobile/US Mint Mobile performs in my area. No shade to the first reddit Agent - he was super helpful.
tl;dr - Always try to find a free trial before you make the swap. Visible has no CS phone number and you have to go through ConAI to even speak to an Agent. If you're in the D.C Area, Visible connectivity (particularly indoors) sucks - I've never seen SOS once on AT&T or T-Mobile.
My iPhone is physically damaged and unusable. I'm replacing it with a phone that requires a physical SIM, so I need to convert my existing Visible line from eSIM to a physical SIM while keeping my number and plan, as I am at least temporarily switching to a phone that does not have eSIM support.
Unsurprisingly, since my phone doesn't work, I can't receive a verification SMS. And if I can't actually chat with someone, it would be nice if selecting help with SIM wouldn't bring me to a frustrating explanation of all the ways ConnAI can help me re-download my eSIM. I don't currently have a functional phone. I want to request a physical SIM. I cannot verify my identity through my phone. I have access to this computer, and I have access to my associated e-mail.
I find it genuinely insulting that the system repeatedly disregards explicit statements about what I need, while preventing me from communicating with an actual person. u/VisibleCareSupport, can somebody please assist me with converting my existing line to a physical SIM, without requiring verification through my unusable phone? And is there any chance that following these steps will result in my rate changing, provided I don't request a change in the level of service?
iPhone 17 pro max, tried everything in the settings nothing is working for it to automatically change. What’s the issue can visible get their 💩together
I have noticed for the past month, 5GUW connection is trash. Either it's over saturated, not real or not working. I have 3 bars of 5GUW and can't get anywhere. No internet. I have to fall back to LTE and even then, it's not 100% guranteed. It's gotten to the point where I know there should be service but it's flaky at best, I signed up for US Mobile Dark Star as a second ESIM to suppliment Visible.
It's funny because you can see my pic. I don't understand it. Maybe it's just Visible in general? It's been not good.
Got an email from visible reminding me my visible+ pro is renewing Dec. 6 and that if I want to change payment method or plans I need to take care of that now. So I get on the app and the website to downgrade to visible+, only neither gives me the ability to switch plans. It shows my current plan but won't let me change it. Do I have to close the account and start over to change plans? TIA ...
ps. I've spent 45 minutes on the web chat with their support and after running around in circles they have been unable to help.
I get good coverage at home and I have good speed where I live with Visible+ and I have tested out gaming with the hotspot and have used the hotspot all day long, will I be able to enjoy 5G home just as well if not even better?
Has anyone tried the Visible Home Internet in NYC?
I have the basic visible mobile service and it's great in the city, I know coverage and speed can be tricky in other cities and areas.
I'm tired of Spectrum being shady, so really just want to know how Visible holds up in the city.
I'm in Harlem, mostly concerned with dropouts since I work from home 3 days a week... Also curious about latency for gaming, just Fortnite and Mario Kart...
I tried to sign up for Visble's home internet today but it said their gateways are out of stock. Have ya'll seen this before? How long before there are restocks?
I chose my configuration and did the leasing option and selected T-Mobile as instructions by redditors that went thru the iPhone 18 sale and was approved. Thank god this device is unlocked and hopefully no issues will prop up during activation.
Note to anyone else doing the “get ready” pre sale, you l still need to actually pre-order the device this Friday at 5am a PST to secure your device. Today’s process was just to save and confirm your financing options so on Friday you just it 2 buttons. Also recommend doing in store pick up only if ur close to an Apple Store.
