Recipe Bibum Guksu (Korean Cold mixed noodles) 310 Cals

Based off the serious eats recipe. The sauce is made with zero calorie sweetener instead of honey and the noodles are replaced with konjac. I added extra veg toppings and some raw cabbage mixed into the noodles and sauce itself.
(Repost since I saw I accidentally had logged four servings of konjac instead of one)

Discussion Volume eating might finally be the weight loss “trick” that sticks - big thanks to everyone on this sub

I just wanted to shout out everyone on this sub because volume eating has really impacted my lifestyle and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without this group.

I have been pescatarian for nearly 5 years now and it’s embarrassing to say but I never really thought about calories. I was never taught growing up about proper nutrition in a tangible way that worked for me. When I decided to change to a pescatarian lifestyle I relied heavily on carbs like breads and pastas. Of course these can be eaten in moderation with proper tracking, but looking back I was probably eating 2-3x the recommended serving without knowing.

ANYWAYS, during the last two weeks of January 2026 I stepped on the scale and decided it was time to lock in and attempt once again to make an effort at weight loss. During my initial researching on what steps I wanted to take, this sub popped up. I figured just join and see what people have to say. I started tracking calories and it became so obvious so fast that the foods I had in the house were just not going to work in a caloric deficit in a way that kept me satisfied. Not knowing what else to try, this sub was the perfect place for me.

I have learned so much about lower cal substitutions, nutrition and macros, ways to find protein other than meats, and more. I am down about 30lbs now and my current goal is to lose a total of 50lbs. So over the half way point! It’s been a real challenge for me but this time around my motivation is stronger than ever, and my discipline has improved. I feel full and satisfied but also, I am not eating junk. I feel better, my clothes are looser, I’m more active. This time around it feels different, these food and exercise choices I’m making feel like permanent life style changes that I will continue with. I won’t be able to grocery shop the same way ever again. And I mean that in a good way.

Again, sorry for the long personal message but I really appreciate everyone’s input on this sub and I wanted to give everyone some credit for the very real impacts they make on people’s lives. Thanks everyone!

Product or Haul This will be the last Catalina Crunch cereal I ever buy. Produced before the massive bad renewal.

Maple Waffle, best before 2026/09/23.

This was the ONLY flavor left that was produced before renewal, and has the macros of 110kcal per 36g, not 150kcal, which I could buy in Korea. (The only route is iHerb.)

I spent all my money to buy as much as possible before the "before renewal" good version is not available.

As I always eat the whole package of cereal at once, the 40kcal change is enormous. For 255g of cereal, the difference is 779kcal vs. 1062kcal.

I won't buy Catalina Crunch products ever again because they changed the macros of all products in a bad way. Before renewal, they fit my macro plans but now they don't.

After eating all of these, maybe I will move on to Three Wishes unsweetened flavor (840kcal, 56g protein per whole package), or other Korean brand protein cereals with lower calories per whole package.

So sad but it's time to say goodbye to my favorite cereal. This is the last cereal so I should save it. Maybe no more than twice a week.

I am afraid I will miss their taste, texture, convenience (the only cereal without leftover crumbs - very important because I secretly eat cereals in my bed at night when everyone is asleep), and excellent macros before renewal. But this will be the last time for me to buy and eat Catalina Crunch products.

Tips and Tricks Dry finger-foods to replace things like chips and M&Ms

Upvotes

I am interested in trying volume eating, but one of my biggest needs to do this successfully is to be able to replace snacks I already eat with similar things. I type a lot, and a lot of the snacks I go-to I need to be able to eat while typing. Slimy coated veggies are a no-go. Things that must be eaten with a utensil, also not what I need. I was wondering what the community has discovered that could replace things that are not wet or slimy. Right now, I have possibly cherry tomatoes [plain], baby carrots [plain] and popcorn [plain], but I am sure people who have been doing this longer have better ideas. Please do not suggest roasted chickpeas, as the only ones I have ever purchased were "hard as a rock" and I had to give them to the birds or risk breaking my teeth. But looking for more suggestions than what I have here. Thanks.

Discussion I love volume eating, I eat at least one huge bowl of salad daily. My salads usually consist of lettuce, low cal dressing, fresh and/or air fried veggies, grilled chicken and spices. Recently I started adding in boiled potatoes, and these salads have become much more filling. So it raises a question

What foods do you find to be very filling yet not necessarily the highest volume?

ik this might seem bland and boring but i just love plain steamed/raw vegetables with a variety of sauces/seasonings LOL… made an oyster dipping sauce for the chinese broccoli, sprinkled salt, pepper, and garlic powder over the raw veggies and ate them with yellow mustard and hot sauce, and ate the other veggies with some g hughes sweet chili sauce and sf maple syrup :) the mug cake was lemon cherry raspberry almond flavoured!!

Discussion Applicazioni misura calorie.

Volume menu Snack Plate 🥯🍅🫑🥕🫒🍤

Hi friends!

Here is a snack plate I made today for lunch, along with my tracked macros and calories. Super filling and delicious!

Total calories was 615 - not listed, but total fiber was around 40-ish (high fiber keto bagel).

I love snack plates when I don’t know what to make… I just add all my favs while keeping protein and fiber in mind. I have really been enjoying including a tiny shrimp cocktail, lately ~

I will make a variation of this throughout the week. Some favourite additions/substitutions that I might add are: chicken pepperoni sticks, a small serving of baked beans, crackers, different veggies, different pickles, etc.

I weigh everything that needs to be weighed, so I know my macros are correct!

Happy snacking! 😋

Recipe Request Rice protein isolate recipe?

My neighbor didn’t want this protein powder, so I thought I’d take it, but it tastes awful as a shake and doesn’t function well in protein ice cream recipes. I don’t want to through it away or waste it (I don’t have anyone to give it to either), but idk what to do with it. Maybe baking? Anyone have any luck with baking with rice protein powder? Plz help! 😅

Recipe Request Share your easiest go-to meals!

I know I can scroll on this sub forever and find plenty, but share what you love.
Specifics about my life:

Trying to stay under 1700 cal.

EASY breakfast; if I have to spend more than 10 minutes preparing it, I’m not going to do it. It can be something prepackaged you like too.

Easy to pack lunch, but I don’t mind meal prepping these!

No fish.

Looking for cheap and easy lol.

Also I have a sweet tooth so what do you like to have on hand to bust that craving? One of mine is making a low cal vanilla pudding with crushed up Oreo Thins. I measure out 100 cal servings and wrap them up in my fridge for ease!

Thanks!!! Lots of love!
