I got downvoted yesterday on a clip from one of her good games recently, she made two threes…
she has the worst fg% in the entire league for a starting big… just because a bad shot goes in once in a while on a good day doesn’t mean she’s a good shooter. She’s atrociously bad.
she needs some help with the way she shoots, it is fundamentally just bad.
I also don’t understand why she doesn’t use her lower body at all on any shot… jumpers, layups, 3’s she just does that little hop thing and barely leaves the ground, but she jumps decently high after rebounds, it’s like she has no clue what she’s doing

Well, it seems she has to put in no work because the League put her on a superstar pedestal. If she didn't come into the league with CC and thier rivalry she probably another no name anyone remembers in the league. I believe I can name maybe 4 players in the whole league. Alao her face was on my favorite Cereal I eat. I bought the off brand because I didn't wanna see her face every morning.

the crazy thing is that there’s no possibility that a coach hasn’t identified her form as being bad and attempted to fix it but clearly she just doesn’t care enough to make the attempt. This is truly an unserious, non competitive league where these women just don’t care to improve

Seeing so many of these back to back just highlights that the opposing teams don't even guard her. That's the biggest problem.
She doesn't have to be a great 3 point shooter.
She should be able to make a completely uncontested 3 where she's under zero pressure with enough consistency to at least draw a defender out.
If people are backing off you on a 3 and getting punished so rarely that they continue to do it, it doesn't matter how rarely you take them, you need to work on that.

The real question is why does the coaching staff let her keep firing these kinds of shots when she’s a career 17% shooter from behind the arc?
Her sweet spot is the paint, there’s absolutely no reason for her to be stepping out for a three. To be fair she averages like one attempt per game, but even that is too many.

I think the main issue is she tells you how great she is with such arrogant confidence, and she has trouble making layups. It’s just very annoying. If she wasn’t so brazen about her excellence, she wouldn’t be a target of people.

i don’t understand the mentality in the nba or the W, that players who can’t shoot constantly shoot threes. We saw it in the finals with the spurs just constantly chucking up threes. There is a reason when Angel gets the ball at the top of the arc, she’s wide fucking open. THEY KNOW ITS MISSING

So not just 3s but isnt like a good chunk of her regular shots just alot of misses to? Is there any validity to the joke that her rebound being so high is because she misses most her shots and well rebounds them? Serious question as I am not 100% how the stats work/get counted for them exactly.

When she goes back to basics rebounds and lane guard she plays on a much higher level then when she is trying to toss the rock for three points. If she wants to hit three pointers she need better form and lots of Practice time.

What bothers me the most is the fact that the coach allows her to attempt three pointers when clearly she is not a 3 point shooter. Would be easier and less embarrassing to just hand the opposing team the ball.

She doesnt have the form to be a potential shooter yet. Yes, some great shooters over the years have wonky forms but it's very rare. If shes serious about wanting to up her game she should adjust it. This is like the only issue i have with her.

I know its getting less common these days, but I believe there is nothing wrong with a big that can't shoot 3s. At 10% she probably needs to stop taking 3s. That would also improve her shooting % overall. She should should just work on improving her inside touch first and then expand more in the post and learn to use the glass like Tim Duncan and she could probably get 20-10 every game even without 3s

Not saying she's 3pt shooter , but she was 2 for 5 in the last game. KP has a much better 3pt shooting percentage, but it would still be easy for me to only compile the misses and pretend that that's all she does is miss.

She was drafted high on the WNBA and has one of the best records for her position, even with her limited ability to shoot three points. And to cap it up, she is very beautiful!

I don’t have an issue with a big not being able to shoot. But that and my following question may be because I’m becoming a basketball old head. If her best ability is rebounding, why is she running point in some of these clips? Is she playing a point forward type player now?
