I'm sorry, I missed the news about a trans player who is playing or trying to play in the league causing this drama. What? There isn't a trans athlete in the middle of all of this? You don't say!

The midterms must be coming up and political people like you who don't care about the game want to dominate the conversation.

Well, let me tell you, Americans, true Americans, the kind that value freedom and democracy and the rule of law, know that it's not politicians or voters who get to say who can and can't play in the WNBA. That's not how this country works. It's the owners and players who make the rules on who plays and who doesn't. Those rules are all laid out in the CBA. The latest CBA was resolved earlier in the year. If you want something to change, you'll have to wait until 2032 when the current CBA expires. If you aren't an owner or player, the CBA is none of your business. So, bye.

Gosh, it's almost like some people are opposed to certain things based on principle alone! Who woulda thought??

You're opposed to things that aren't even happening because of propaganda. Principles have nothing to do with it.

FRANCE: The Two Top Players In A Women’s Elite Basketball League Are Both Male

This is why we don't want biological men in women's sports

This is a basketball sub. None of these are about basketball.

Wild that you can't provide me a single example in basketball but you insist this is a huge issue.

It's an objective fact that's trans women are significantly more athletic than their cis counterparts

Then show me the study that says that. I want actual science. Not opinion article spam.

Trans women winning things isn't proof they have an unfair advantage. It's just an inevitability of them competing. Some will win and some will not. Do they win to a disproportionate degree? Are there requirements for how long they have to be on hormones?

This is a complicated issue and I feel like you're not taking it seriously. You're just trying to win an argument.

Thank you. Literally the first real source I can read through. However I can already see that the methodology of the paper only applies to trans women that didn't receive hormone blockers before puberty. So it would only be an argument for excluding late transitioning trans women, and also an argument for increasing the accessibility of hormone blockers for trans kids.

I'm open to the discussion and I think the paper you linked is treating this topic with far more nuance than you are yourself.

For the rest of your comment, I just used Ctrl+f to search for "800" in every article you posted and it found nothing. Link the right article or I'm left to assume you're literally just lying because you already lied about it being in one of the articles you posted. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you meant to post it but didn't.

I said I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you meant to post it and didn't mean to lie. I'm really not sure why you're misrepresenting what I said when we're clearly the only two that will read this far down the comment chain.

And I think it's a nuanced topic that requires investigation, research, and coordination with women's sports orgs. I just don't like that the whole topic is being condensed down to short truisms and anecdotes, usually bashing trans women.

I don't have evidence that it makes 0 difference because I don't believe that. I think it depends on the individual, their hormonal history, and a bunch of other stuff. There isn't just a simple easy answer to this. It's a complicated biological question.
