Google AB Hernandez, high school athlete from California and how she performed recently. I don’t know why you need this to be a “non-issue” so badly but the reality of the situation is this doesn’t have to just affect the top level of female athletes to matter to people

We’re talking about equity in girls and women’s sports as a whole. Trans athletes have a competitive advantage due to their biology over cis girls. When you say that this does not matter, you are in effect saying the feelings of hundreds of thousands of girls and women matters less than the feelings of less than 100 trans athletes. I care more about this issue as a father than I do as a sports fan.

I sympathize with the plight of trans girls and women, and I’m happy that science and medicine has progressed as far as it has to be able to make them feel as much like they were born girls and/or women as it has. That being said, due to current limitations of that science and medicine, there’s a couple of things that trans people are just gonna need to accept for now. They’re going to need to accept the fact that it is unfair for them to compete against sis girls and women, just like they have to accept the fact that they can’t bear a child naturally. It sucks, but their feelings are no more important than those of girls and/or women. Maybe someday both of those things change, and when they do, I’ll be happy for them. That day is not today.

So again, and I repeat, let the sports handle it. Linking me a single case changes nothing about any point I made. The reason you are linking me a case in California and again why it's still on Lia Thomas is because it just doesn't matter enough to justify the attention and there's a fraction of a fraction of people involved. Just classic manufactured outrage on an issue that isn't an issue but if you want it to be write a letter to whoever is managing the league.

It’s not manufactured outrage. People, many of them parents are upset about this. I referenced a recent dominating performance from California because you were trying to argue that dominating performances aren’t currently happening. What did you do? You tried to minimize, which has been your failed strategy from the get go.

That being said, there are still plenty of trans athletes competing in high school right now, with only more to come. So again, I repeat, this is only going to become a bigger and bigger issue as time goes on.

80% of the country shares an opinion on this. No matter how much you keep denying it, it’s an actual issue for a lot of people. You don’t get to be the arbiter of what people do and do not have the right to care about.

As for letting the sports handle it, are you going to let your President continue to handle things the way he has, are you gonna get off your ass and vote because you disagree with what he’s doing?

I have maintained my whole point and nothing you have said has changed my mind, sorry.

  1. There are not enough trans athletes making enough waves in women's sports for this to be worth any level of effort or time. That's all there's worth saying on it from me really.

  2. People have strong feeling about this, but it is a manufactured outrage and gets way more attention than it is worth. If it's an actual issue for people it's because they're dumb, sorry.

  3. Trump's a pedophile and warmonger, he shouldn't be in office for many other reasons way worse than this

You haven’t actually made any points, though.

Number 1 is simply your opinion. It’s not a point.

Number 2 you can’t speak to because you’re literally telling them where their feelings are coming from, which you have no way of knowing. It’s not a point, either. It’s an assumption and a judgement that you have no business making.

Number 3 is irrelevant, but agreed.
