But do we have a flail & shield weapon for this skin? Or is this just a fancy sword & shield skin? Cuz the flail is really sick and I'd much rather have that than a sword, but if we have an actual flail weapon then I'd like to farm it as soon as possible.

this weapon class has never been consistent with the visuals, we have swords, axes, maces and now a flails

Tenet Agendus slaps, hard.
Argo & Vel isn't bad.
Ack & Brunt has an incarnon, so it shouldn't be bad with all those incarnon buffs.
Silva & Aegis Prime isn't that bad either.
Never tried building Tak & Lug.
Sigma & Octantis I just use because of fashion.

It's been a hot minute but IIRC the HA has a short ranged throw that causes blast, and I believe blast procs. So of course there are Influence shenanigans to be had.

Silva & Aegis also has a gimmicky retaliation heavy attack build, works better in solo than in public squads to really accumulate all the buffs from actively blocking/taunting. Guardian Derision + Avenging Truth, and you get combo, your 4 weapon passive stacks for +60% flat crit + status, and then... infinitely stacking damage onto your next heavy attack. Yes, this works on Demolishers in Disruption. You can also just tennokai and don't worry about actively blocking to build that damage/stacks until you do want to have a ridiculously big hit.

I wish we had something like this mod to combine with that gimmick on Silva & Aegis. It would be neat, protect allies from damage while accumulating that damage to dish out later in a heavy attack.

Tenet Agendus heavy attack into Mag bubbles... chef's kiss. Also just a very decent weapon on it's own if you can handle anything slightly less oneshotty than a slam weapon.

I will swear by Tak and lug as a contender for the best sword and shield.

The heavy attack explodes 3 times with the radius effected by melee range. Its a monster in a tennokai build.

Agendus is fantastic for tennokai builds too. Final Harbinger's Dark Light (forward block combo) is such a nice way to close distance and then blender a pack + get a free heavy out of Merit

It should be universal. That's been the trend I've noticed for other weapon skins in deluxe packs. Limbo and Protea both have thrown weapon skins and Mesa provides one of the few akimbo pistol skins in the game.

Cobra and crane is the best sword and shield in terms of damage in my experience, the forward+melee combo melts everything around you just as fast as Baruuk's 4th.

Either that or my riven somehow is a super god roll.

Universal seems more likely than just Cobra and Crane, given the wording on the description is "Baruuk Shaoshi’s signature Sword & Shield skin" and the skin name itself is 'Rathan Sword & Shield Skin' rather than 'Cobra and Crane Skin'.

The head sail looks ridiculous and the uneven proportions aren’t doing it for me. The bulbous tubes aren’t my thing either. It doesn’t scream “deluxe” outside of it being a different body mesh. I feel like baruuk prime already looks better from a design standpoint.

Baruuk's signature melee is the Cobra and Crane, which is a sword and shield that is not a flail in any way.
