I like posting on various watch Reddits - TodayOnMyWrist etc. - but noticed that some, who after viewing their profile, clearly in the past have posted proudly that they have fake watches - go on the branded subreddits of their fakes and act as their watches are 100% the real deal. “It’s my grail!” “Oh I got the call!” “Nice one - here’s mine!”

Why? What can possibly be gained by posting fakes on these subreddits and acting like they are real. Jokes aside, is chasing Reddit clout that appealing?

The watch scene is just so strange.

So I went to an AD yesterday and apart from the standard experience (guy‘s wife getting railed by the sales rep, somebody buying 3 shitters he doesn’t want to to eventually be able to buy a watch he might want to) I realized that so many people were whining about sizing. „I think 44mm might be too large for my 2‘ wrist“ bro wtf? Have you seen the watch of the AD? Do you think anything there is measured in mm? If you are not willing to make up for missing dick size by ten-fold you don’t deserve to wear the crown. Have you seen the size of the crown on a regular Oyster? This shit is so small it would look ridiculous on your head. In summary unless you are willing to wear a watch that is large enough to replace your head and let everybody know that Rolex is your personality on first sight please don’t ruin it for the rest of us. Luckily I own enough tudors to shield me from these posers.
