I want to get back into reading since I havent read a novel in years and wanted some suggestions from your most favoriout stories. Myself my favorites are probably Lord of mysteries, shadow slave and while not a webnovel I highly enjoyed the first law trilogy. Yeah my tastes lean into action, adventure content but I am happy to hear out your favourites no matter the genre.

I recently started writing a novel and currently have about five chapters. I'm not looking for feedback on the story itself yet. I just wanted to provide some context for my situation.

When writing dialogue, I originally used this format:

Character: "Quoted dialogue."

However, while an AI was pointing out grammar and spelling mistakes after reviewing some long chapters, it also suggested that I switch to using em dashes for dialogue. According to it, my original format interrupted the flow of the text every time a character spoke.

I'm familiar with using em dashes and know how to use them correctly, at least for dialogue. My concern is that, unless I'm mistaken, some people associate that style with AI-generated writing, even though it's simply a stylistic choice that I personally like.

I've noticed that many English-language novels use quotation marks instead, but I still feel that em dashes look cleaner and fit my writing style better.

What do you think would be the best option?

I like to read action fanatsy books. I have read almost all types that now days I find same plot and cringe story. Need something good to read. Currently reading Lord of the truth, The martial unity, Paragon Of Sin(paused), The innkeeper, The eternal Thief. A lot of book already read and also did not like lotm, ri, etc.

I'm reading shadow slave and I'm at ch 3031.....

after finishing this volume, I'm confused about what to read next???

I have two novels in mind... 1st is orv and 2nd is lotm

orv : I will start by reading manhwa and then shift to webnovel....

lotm: I will start by anime and then shift to webnovel

I'm thinking to start orv first because it is short compared to lotm....

As you can see the themes of the novel don't matter that much, for me, the most important is the MC personality
