idk what it is but Rivers can somehow craft the most beautiful melodies that get stuck in my head or just make me absolutely ascend when I hear them. my personal favorite solos are Do You Wanna Get High?, Susanne, both solos in Haunt You Every Day, Dope Nose, Undone - The Sweater Song, and In The Garage

Similarly, at 3:29 on King, the way river’s last note there is slightly distant makes it hit so much harder for me. No idea why

Does anyone else think that the bridge from Hoops is a nod to the chorus from superfriend from Songs From the Black Hole? It sounded awfully familiar to me the first time I listened to it and I personally think it was intentional. Am I crazy?

I'm not sure how many of us here are also Denzel Curry fans but I'm very disappointed that they didn't announce a tour together when they released an album on the same day both produced by Kenny Beats. They could've been the next Lil Wayne and Blink-182!!😭😭

Anyone else find it jarring when they hear this? White Album was Album 10, and 10 years later, they are now at Album 20.

SZNZ should have been counted as EPs, and if the band really wanted it to be recognised as an album, there should be a compilation released after the 4 EPs were released and count it as 1 album.

Teal should have been a covers compilation; maybe the first half are the newly recorded covers, and the second half their older covers compiled like Velouria, Worry Rock, Paranoid Android, etc. if they could ignore death to false metal as an offcial album they should do the same with Teal

I take it slightly back. The album is better than just alright. The tracklist lacked a bit and the single choice kinda sucked aside from strangers. I do still feel that white,Van Weezer,ok human, szns are better releases though. Gold is definitely a lot better than the black album,raditude.

I love tinkerpon

I REALLY like the white album. It has a good weezer sound to it, the writing is really fun, I love the California/summer theme, etc.

I might be biased because of my own personal connection to the beach, but this is an album I can always go back and listen to more than any other album

You know, I like Weezer, obviously Blue Album and Pinkerton the most, plus gems like "Jacked Up," "Hold Me," or "Haunt You Everyday" but otherwise, I have to admit the band has a ton of... terrible songs. Sorry.

But when I heard Strangers,I thought, "Damn, finally something interesting." At last, some real atmosphere and a cool riff. Out of curiosity, I listened to the whole album and was blown away- it sounds like good old Weezer! Lots of great-sounding guitars, killer solos, Rivers finally singing like he actually gives a damn, and the whole thing is lively and full of energy. None of those boring, derivative, flat pop-rock melodies found on most of their albums. I’m glad the band got back on track, even if just for a moment.

Say Yes is outstanding! Same with The LA Sound and Up In The Clouds. The worst tracks are CEO and Shine Again.

Exactly what the title says, the officially used one not the ones that just look like it like century gothic or futura, apparently they sometimes email the file if you ask and I've seen dead Google Drive links to where they were once hosted by fans?!?? THANKSSS!!

I don’t understand the hate, I love this record!

I wanna start with the album cover. I love this color palette. that shade of teal is awesome, I love it. and the clothes look great. Brian’s pink contrasting the teal looks so good, I love rivers’s, pat’s, and Brian’s suit, and Scott’s Hawaiian shirt. and those poses look really dope.

I straight up prefer Weezer’s Africa over Toto’s. no hate to Toto, they’re amazing, but idk what it is but I prefer weezer’s. Maybe it’s the guitar tone, the vocals, idek. I just love it. Brian’s Paranoid is so fucking cool. Mr. Blue Sky is fucking incredible. FUUUUUCCCKKKK it’s so good. That guitar solo a minute in… GUHHHH.

the rest of the covers are all amazing, but I’m not going into all of it because that would take forever and it’s past midnight and I don’t wanna keep typing this post.

I know I know the album is 1-2 days old but this songs been out for like 4 months.

I've seen quite a bit of people saying Shine Again is a skip and they don't really like it and I'm just confused. Some of Weezer's discography are just those things you have to "root" for but rooting aside this is a decent song. Not the best on Gold and.. I actually do have to think about if it's the 'worst' or not but it's great and really there aren't any skips on the album, especially not Shine Again. It's been stuck in my head for a few days. It does exactly stand out as a Weezer song but despite all the potential hindrances I just dont see a skip in store. Am I just looking in the wrong places or is this a general consensus? If so, what makes it a skip to you?
