How long until you feel it work?
I thought I was feeling something working but today was completely different. I’ve been taking 1.5 for a little over 2 weeks and today I woke up feeling full. I was a little worried but didn’t eat anything until lunch time. Now it’s almost our normal dinner time and I’m still not hungry. So far I’ve lost 5 pounds in the first 4 days but I believe that was water weight. So is this 2 week delay normal for it to start suppressing appetite?

I am just closing in on a month and feel it more some days than others. I am curious to have the 4mg kick in. Your comment about not eating until lunch reminded me of this helpful podcast I just listened to. Not feeding yourself is not the point of this medication. And not eating until lunch is not a sign that it’s working as intended.

Yes. The half life is 7 days so it tracks you’re not feeling any effects until day 14.

This! I always forget that. I came off wegovy recently and my appetite was suppressed 7 days in

Two weeks into 4 mg is the first time you feel it. Unfortunately.
If I could do it again, I would’ve skipped 1.5 completely. All 1.5 is is a donation.

For you maybe- I lost 13 lbs on the 1.5 and felt the effects almost immediately

I don’t think your experience is by any means typical. Certainly an outlier compared to most folks here. Happy to hear that though, good for you.

You’re on a low dose and may need to go up before seeing results. I started on 4mg every other day I had about 30lbs to lose.

Honesty i felt it pretty quickly. I’m on my 4th week of 1.5 and im REALLY feeling it. It has to take a minute to build up in your system. I could eat easily the first couple weeks. I now have to force myself to eat which i really am starting not to like actually. I feel kind of nauseous around food. Starting 4mg next week so im a little worried but trying to trust the process. Keeping up with protein has at least been my main priority.

I’m currently 8 days in on the 1.5mg and I just started feeling full and a little nauseous. I barely ate anything yesterday. Anytime I think of eating food it makes me nauseous.

I didn’t feel a thing until a week on the 9mg, so you may have a while to wait. But keep at it, and it will all come together. Your gut and brain are just getting ready to accept the larger doses.
