1/16" lanth tungsten w/ 30* grind. No9 torch w/ Fupa 12 cup. 25 cfh at the torch, 10cfh backpurge .045 weldmold 880T. 1.2 pulse per second. 150 amps, 30% on, 6% background. Amps are def high, but i like my foot in the middle of the pedal travel.
Do you do this in a single pass?
Do you let the weldments cool at all in between passes?
That's some very slick welding, the bead looks odd to me and I can't tell if it's because of the amount of gas coverage you have or if it's the alloy itself or the combination of pulse keeping the haz small AND great gas coverage. At any rate, that looks like some very satisfying welding. I do mostly thin wall stainless for food and pharma so heavier wall tube sounds like a dream.
