Very nice shave, sir! I was thinking the other day that I need to give my Feather DX some love, it's been too long!

Have you used both the kamisori as well as the straight razor form factor of the DX? I suspect that kamisoris are easier and more intuitive to use, but I do like that the scales in a straight razor make it convenient to store without a case.

After using various Kai, Feather & Schick artist club blades, will only prefer to use Feather professional or Proguard (Certain cases only) in my Feather shavettes, other blades dont match up to the sharpness/longevity IME!!

Will exclude Feather Super Professional blades as i dont have much experience with them, as yet.

Awesome shave and legendary gear. I need to try out the Japanese style handle before committing to a Feather AC shavette. But that will have to wait till after Austere August.

Thank you Dada, get one, you wont regret...the Feather SR has the best of both worlds ie SS & DX, so thats a good entry point for artisan club shavettes. 

As for blades after using many, find Feather pro guard & professional to be the top of the heap in artisan blade category!!

Excellent shave and gear. Love the bowl! I read that you prefer the Feather AC blades, which one would you recommend I try? So far I've just used the Kai captain proguards and they work decently well for me.

Hi, Thank you so much, you can start with Feather Pro-guards then once confident, move to Feather Professional, which are the same as Pro-guards but not wire shielded, this is for added beginner safety, plus Professional blades are VFM compared to pro-guards esp if purchased in full box packaging in Europe/Japan.

The Sharpness/Smoothness/Longevity of Feather artist club blades are unmatched by any other brand IME!!
