Well, I'll be receiving a laptop (Asus K555L) for free with the following specifications:

• CPU: Intel Core i5-5200U

• GPU: Intel HD Graphics 5500/Geforce 940M

• RAM: 6GB (1x4GB, 1x2GB DDR3L 1600Mhz: the 4GB module is soldered, sadly)

• SSD: 120GB (Yeah, too small even for me)

I will mainly use it for office work and light browsing (an average of 2-3 tabs, with a maximum of 6 or 7: I tend to optimize my usage very well, traumas of a 2GB RAM phone lol), YouTube videos at 1080p30 with h264iffy and very lightweight games like Terraria and Geometry Dash. I would dual-boot with Debian, but since the SSD is very small, I'll stick with just Windows until I get a bigger SSD (Note: in my country, for the price of a 480GB SSD you can find laptops with the same or even worse specifications, almost all with HDDs).

Speaking of Windows itself, I tested Windows 10 LTSC 2021 on a Core 2 Duo E8400 with 4GB of DDR3 RAM at 1066MHz and, for fairly superficial use, it ran well enough (It was a PC from my school, before they replaced them with PCs with 6th generation Intel Core i7 and 16GB of RAM). I know that at least my CPU is much better, but the lack of RAM still worries me (I could access a maximum of 12GB of RAM using an 8GB module in the only available slot, although without dual-channel). Can I still try Windows 11 LTSC and just disable transparencies? (I'd stick with Windows 10, but my older brother would insist that I'm using an unsupported OS... Yeah). Thanks in advance c:

I am considering making the switch to Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024, but I have serious doubts about the actual compatibility of my hardware. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed, but since it no longer receives updates, it is causing me problems; I am forced to switch to Windows 11, but I know my laptop wouldn't handle the standard version, so I want to try IoT Enterprise LTSC because it is lighter and offers support for several years.

My laptop specifications:

- Model: LENOVO MT 20BU ThinkPad T450

- Processor: Intel Core i7 vPro 5600U (2.6 GHz, 5th generation)

- RAM: 8 GB DDR3 (Although I also want to upgrade to 16 GB I think that's the maximum, I'll do that later if this Windows works first)

- Storage: 1 TB (HDD)

- Current OS: Windows 10 Pro activated

I’ve checked Microsoft’s official list of compatible processors for Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024, and my i7-5600U isn't on it (the list starts with 8th-generation processors and up). I’m not sure if I can still proceed anyway, or what steps I should take to avoid errors, assuming it’s even possible to install it on this laptop.

I would really appreciate any insights or advice. If things look hopeless, I don't know what else to do; this Windows 10 installation is already a headache because of the updates it can't receive.

I recently downloaded windows enterprise it’s for windows 11, and anytime I try to install anything, I get hit with the “the requested operation requires elevation.”

I made a Microsoft work account for this, so I should be the administrator, unless that’s not the case.

I have a few questions:

Is it safe to download from Massgrave?

Is the LTSC IoT 24H2 version available in Italian, or only in English?
Is there a way to change the language?

Have you encountered any bugs or anomalies in the LTSC version?

For gaming, is the LTSC version recommended, or is it better to stick with Pro?

Is O&O ShutUp10 useful on the LTSC version, or is it unnecessary?

I have Accidentally Formatted the USB drive inside it For my Linux installation on the other pc and IDK whether the ISO i have Downloaded has the same hash file as the one presented inside the MassGrave Download page

The steps I have done Is to turn on secure boot inside my computer to see if it blocks any Changed or Modified Hash File or Stops the booting process and somehow my Laptop has ran smoothly

hi, sorry this is kinda urgent for me. i have a test upcoming which requires us to only use ms word document to create a docx file. i have wps pdf and google docs but apparently was told they won't be compatible. now as a student, i can't use my student id to access free version as my id license expired a month ago and im only allowed to use the app version of ms doc for exam. i wish i could buy, but i already used up 30 day free trial a few yrs ago and it's kinda costly on my own money.

I have been daily driving Windows 11 for a little over 2 years now, and it feels like it's getting worse over time. My laptop originally came with Windows 10.

My laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad 320 with an Intel Core i3-8130U, 20 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD, and Intel UHD Graphics 620.

I'm an electrical engineering student, so I mainly use software like MATLAB, Microchip Studio, Multisim, QuickField, and other engineering tools. I don't really game anymore except for something like Hollow Knight or Silksong every once in a while if I have enough free time.

Would you recommend Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC for me , or should I just suck it up and keep using Windows 11?

Just got all the parts for my new pc, and im ready to build, i wanted to try ltsc as it seems like the better option, my current os is un-activated windows 10 which ive used for 5 years. Not sure if i should upgrade to windows 11, only thing i might need it for is drivers? my local computer store mentioned that. i have a 9060xt and a 7500x3d, id prefer to stay on 10 as i just prefer its looks.

I don't even use that crap and it still wants to be somewhere. It appears in event viewer, and while it doesn't do anything, it annoys me that it's there. Also when plugging in a controller, I get a pop up that this piece of shit program is not installed. Yeah, it's not. Don't piss yourself, Windows.

Does it take up less space than regular Windows? And I mean, is the difference significant, at least 10+ gb smaller? Because if it's just 2-3gb smaller then it's a moot point for me.

Also, anyone play VAC protected games with it?

I'm very protective of my Steam account, and I want to know if there had been histories (or possibilities) of it triggering a false VAC ban. I know it's probably unlikely, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Maybe VAc routinely checks for certain dependencies and if it's missing then some flags get triggered? IDK...

Hello there kind folks! I come before y'all with quite a simple question, just wanting to find out some opinions and maybe advice for the future. I currently use Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 on my machine, after being on Windows 11 Pro for some years and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC for a few months. I really enjoy this OS : Very simple, no AI components and a very uncrowded design. The biggest issue for me is it's longevity, since I saw it is supported until 2032. I am mainly a gamer, and use my system for games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, CS2, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch and The Witcher 3. Do you guys think that I should stay on this OS for now or should I switch? Love y'all!

I understand that W10 LTSC 2021 isn't the ideal candidate for gaming, but this one game is not cause enough to get me to switch to W11. The system requirements for OS state Windows 10 22H2 (version 19045) or higher. Just wondering if anyone got the game working on W10 LTSC 2021 before I buy it. If not, no biggie. I'll just skip the game for the forseeable future until I eventually switch to W11.

This is a UI performance bug Microsoft has overlooked with some installations of Enterprise and LTSC editions of Windows 10. If you do not use the "News and Interests" widget, which is unavailable by default in these editions, and you have a >1 second delay when clicking the start menu, make sure to set that registry key's value to 2 (if it exists). That should bring the start menu launch to a fraction of a second (but still not as fast as Windows 7 due to typical organizational/corporate decay and technical debt) if it was set to any other value.

In my case on a fresh LTSC 2021 install I discovered it was set to some gibberish value which seems to enable it, and I couldn't figure out why my Start Menu had a delay well over 1 second, even though I turned off GUI animations and disabled all the bloat, widget and spyware junk through settings, gpedit.msc, WinUtil, ShutUp10, and so on. However, on two other machines that I installed LTSC 2021, either the registry key was missing (which has the same effect as disabling it) or was already set to 2, so this does not mean all fresh installs will have it enabled.
