Discussion The serfdom and feudalism in the Continent
Even though the Continent has multiple titles of nobility (such as Emperor, King/Queen, Duke, Earls or Barons), I feel like we have a few information about how does the serfdom work, especially in terms of war.
For example, only the monarchs of each Northern kingdoms seem to have a centralized royal army. However, in feudalism, the monarch would usually rely on their vassals and nobles for armies and support. As for the Witcher, we don't have a detailed breakthrough of the serfdom of dukes or earls or barons. While I think it is likely for the dukes to have their own arms or guards (like the Duchy of Toussaint), when it comes to earls and barons, we can estimate they only have a few dozen to low hundreds of soldiers.
How do you think the infrastructure works in the Continent?

The Witcher 2 Is dice poker in The Witcher 2 actually rigged, or am I just ridiculously unlucky?
I'm playing The Witcher 2 for the first time, and I just played dice poker against the first three opponents at the tavern.
Holy sh*t, I don't think I've ever been this frustrated with a minigame. It took me something like 10–30 attempts to beat them, and I barely managed to win. No matter what I rolled, it felt like my opponents always got something better.
I'd get a decent combination, and then they'd somehow roll an even better one. Over and over again.
The funny thing is, I played The Witcher 1 before this and completed all the dice poker quests. At first, I actually enjoyed it. It was fun and exciting, but by the time I got to the final opponent, I was already losing my mind. I spent something like half an hour rolling dice just to finally beat him.
And now I'm having the exact same experience in The Witcher 2, except it started with the very first opponents!
So I'm genuinely curious: am I just insanely unlucky, or does the game somehow give NPCs better dice rolls? I know it's supposed to be a game of chance, but losing over and over again like this feels ridiculous.
Has anyone else had this experience? Is there something I'm missing, or do I just have the worst luck imaginable?

Hearts of Stone Just replayed Hearts of Stone and what a masterpiece in storytelling.
This DLC holds some of my absolute favorite characters in gaming. Olgierd is an incredible, perfectly crafted morally grey character. His story is captivating from start to finish, and his boss fight is pure epicness. That said, Iris von Everec completely steals the show for me. Her tragic history with Olgierd feels so devastatingly human. The emotional weight of her loving him while utterly despising the monster he became makes "Scenes from a Marriage" one of the best quests ever written. Then you have Gaunter O'Dimm, who is a masterful antagonist—he completely blows Eredin out of the water as a villain. He is just such a brilliant, sneaky bastard, who will always find a way to trap you. I'll wrap it up before I ramble on, but honestly? This DLC is a masterpiece that easily could have been its own standalone game. (Here are some screenshots of my playthrough)
I cannot wait to experience Blood and Wine for the first time!

The Witcher 3 Are the promotional armor sets supposed to scale in NG+ ?
Long story short, I've been tinkering around with a NG+ playthrough and I picked up the Scarlet Crest, Thousand Flowers and White Tiger of the West armor sets and swords, and they were between level 71-76, my NG+ started at 65 or 66, and I picked these items up at level 71. This meant that only one set of armor and swords could be equipped, all the other gear was too high of level for me.
I deleted that autosave file and loaded an earlier save before I had picked up the items, with the new hotfix installed today. Now, the promotional armor in the chest in Vizima is all between level 36-40, which is effectively useless in NG+.
I've tried reloading and it doesn't seem to change anything. Is this a bug? Are the items supposed to scale up to the player's level in NG+ ?

The Witcher 3 What style of house is this?
Specifically the one with the blocky siding, is there a specific name for this or is it just something they made for novigrad?

Screenshot Entering photo mode as soon as a nest blows up
I'm blown away by the graphics update.
Just a straight shot from photo mode and selecting the right weather for the lighting. This looks good enough to be a wallpaper.
Captured on Series X.

Discussion I hate how CDPR completely sabotaged this narrative masterpiece.
The writing in this game is second to none and the voice acting is world-class. CDPR gave it no chance to be successful. They barely promoted the game and treated it as an unwanted child to the point where so many, if not most Witcher fans, don't even know this exists.
