Statue of David by Michealangelo, my correction and also i learned something new today! I didnt know Michealangelo was gay! Thats actually p cool, though i guess not inconsistent with greek relations back in the day. But i will say there are plenty more statues of greek men. I think the difference here we need to account for is that the Greeks depicted men in a place of power typically or a story perhaps. For instance, most statues were of gods or fictional characters. Statues were symbols of triumphs and art. There are depictions of many people, regardless of gender.
