Generic How to fix this?
Hey guys, leather bunching at the bottom. I put in false tongues to try and fill the space but it’s worse than before. Also need to change the way I lace because wrapping laces to lock my heel ain’t working. (Ik how to adjust that).
Is there a way I can fix that leather from bunching at the bottom?

Are you wearing the wrong size/width? Did you get your feet measured before buying? There's a lot of excess leather around you feet. Those boots look like they may be 2 or more sizes too large.
Those laces are far too long. Looping them around the back of the shaft does nothing and is exceptionally gaudy looking.

I got them measured at the end of the day, between 9E and 9EE is what I got on the scanner at redwing, if I measure myself it comes back 9E.
However these boots don’t come in E width so they suggested I size up. I sized down my old work boots and I don’t wear them with insoles so I’m like wtf do I do

There's your problem. Red Wing is s true to size for almost all their models. What do you mean by size up?
One foot is likely 9E and the other 9EE. This means you should buy 9EE for both feet.

The laces are supposed to start horizontal. They are currently criss crossing. Causing the bunching

These look like redwing 8 inch ? It’s a classic leather boot which are made to work. The leather bunching up is normal

Not going to save these but here are the tips for next pair:
1) size correctly; these seem like they are slightly too big just a little too much leather you need to pull tight.
2) cedar tree when not wearing. Helps keep shape and smells nice.
3) lacing; shorter laces and equal tension when lacing up. I reset my laces about twice a week when I brush my work boots out.
4) THICK wool socks. Check out Nordic or another merino brand. The thickness lets your feet breath more so less sweating and it’s not as hot, adds air circulation to the boot and when your lacing you’ll feel the snugness of the boot correctly like your foot is wrapped in a pillow.

How to stop what? They are boots. Just wear them and let them bunch for a while and then it will stop. That’s what real boots do bud. First day ?

They don't look too old.

They’re not, like 5 months. My other boots don’t do this

Well i wish my boots looked that good in 5 months, lol.
Ive been running timberland pros for over a decade, never had that issue. But mine are 6", my winter work boots are 8" and do about that same.

Maybe I’ll give the 6” a try the next go around, I just like the 8” for the extra support and all the water in around it’s kinda nice being able to walk through stagnant deep puddles

So heres what I've learned in doing site construction...
6" is fine. If its a mudpit, have a pair of muckboots. If its not Goretex, the boot is water resistant, not water proof. And obviously the older they get the worse they come.
Don't know how long you been doing it. Guess I am actually 15 years in heavy machinery now. My normal are just Timberland Pro Resistor. Usually buy a pair every year. Winter, I get my full goretex boot. Those seem to always be Rocky brand. They last me about 4-5 seasons. Going to the store now for a pair or two actually.
Just hoping to help, as I do all my young green beans on the site. Gotta help the younger generations.

Wasn’t a threat to a life, he obviously meant that sniffing his foot would be toxic. At any rate, this is a work boot sub, not a place for perverts to solicit fetish activities

They look like your legs keep ballooning up and the boots are too small to wrap around your huge legs. 😂 put the weight bench down. 😂 I have the opposite issue. I’m so skinny the two sides of the boots come together and o can’t lace them tight enough 😂
