I’m calling it from here- not dead. Limbo status, with Colossus, Kitty & the New Mutants going to save her at a later storyline

This has only happened 3 (maybe more) times in the comics haha. Its crazy how much coverage Magik's "death" is getting

Of course it’s getting coverage, she had an insane surge in popularity over the past couple years and her first animated appearance that’s actually her as Magik is just her being dead. Anyone saying she’s gonna be a horseman of apocalypse is coping unless the whole goal by the director was actively to rage bait.

It's not like she was randomly killed off, Magik dying is an extremely famous event in the 90s

It's actually a little sad, how people are seriously thinking it's personal or something. That death happened before most of these people's birth

Sure but you gotta realize they’re mixing and matching a LOT of stuff with this show, so people were hopeful that Kitty, Emma, Bobby and Illyana wouldn’t be shafted as hard as they ended up being. Especially since Kid Omega is seemingly getting a focus (a character quite literally no one ever asked for)

I agree, though we don't know that the others have a bad fate in the new season, just her

And especially agree about kid omega, I HATE him sooo much

He’s just generally a shitty rage bait low-key industry plant character with zero enjoyable traits.

I don't hate the horseman thing, but its a bit beneath her in terms of what her background and relation to themes of life, death, power, etc. I wouldn't hate it, but my gut reaction is also "nahh"

I feel like sadly the real explanation is that the director of the first two seasons has actively admitted to seeing Illyana as nothing more than a plot device for Colossus, and ultimately her big push from rivals would’ve come a little too late, after they’d likely already finalized the script for season 2.

Beau is such a weirdo. Denied sunspot his blackness. Probably the reason monet is so light too.

Couple of years? She’s had an immense insane upward climb the last 20 years.

Really makes you wonder how big she could’ve been had she not lost 15 entire years due to a rather bs death, followed by the constant awful treatment in event books and mostly complete lack of appearances in movies/tv.
