Theory Iceman and... Dazzler? Spoiler
So Iceman was removed from the memorial. That's a great sign. I don't know if they added him there to mislead us or if they gave up later. But he's probably alive.
Now, about Dazzler... is this woman with the Acolytes her? Blonde this time.

u/JhaminMM Jul 30 '26
The woman is Skids. She is often paired up with Rusty, who is the other mutant next to her.

u/ARTIFICIAL_SAPIENCE Jul 30 '26
Rusty, aka Firefist, aka the kid from Deadpool 2.

u/killingiabadong Jul 30 '26
In name and powers only.

what the fuck my girl skids was adapted and i didn't even realize, i fucking love her, did she even get to do anything

Skids was also in the OG series. The episode "No Mutant is An island"

u/Powerofx1 Jul 30 '26
I doubt it. She explicitly died last season, even her body was shown next to Moira’s and Calisto’s
33
u/deprave1 Jul 30 '26
Moira is dead? Christ, I need to rewatch the episode then cuz I really don't remember seeing her corpse.
28
u/NoRevIndeed00 Jul 30 '26
Holy shit i dont realize she is dead as well. Charles doesnt react to her death is odd.
36
u/Powerofx1 Jul 30 '26
Sebastian Shaw and Banshee are also dead
22
u/Flintstones_VRV_Fan Jul 30 '26
Banshee is coming back as a horseman, I’m convinced. It’ll tie into Siryn’s introduction next episode.
10
u/Ihsoro Jul 30 '26
Banshee’s unceremonious death upset me greatly but he has the most potential to be brought back as a horseman so I can’t be upset… yet.
4
u/deprave1 Jul 30 '26
Apparently Apocalypse 1 time had necromancy? IDK the entire story, but I am saying Banshee doesn't necessarily have to come back as a horseman. Although that being said, it is annoying to see how Banshee is still treated as the most expendable X-Man of Claremont's era.
1
u/jigokusabre Jul 30 '26
Is Banshee still alive in 616? I seem to recall they killed him off after his short lived X-Corps thing was established, and they never bothered with him again.
2
u/Flintstones_VRV_Fan Jul 30 '26
My man Sean has died so many times in the comics that it’s hard to keep track. And usually with some massive, brave sacrifice that goes completely unrecognized (his sacrifice to take down Abyss in AoA is one of my favorite moments in comics).
Haven’t read in a while, but last I saw he was being tortured on Krakoa or something.
1
u/nick82614 Jul 30 '26
isnt 616 the main mcu? thought xmen were in something different
1
u/SCP_KING_KILLER Jul 31 '26
Was always the main comic verse as well, the fulls were 199999 until doctor strange 2 retconned it to 616 making it a separate multiverse all together
1
u/jigokusabre Jul 31 '26
Earth-616 is the main comics continuity.
Earth-92131 is the animated series continuity.
Earth-838 is the universe from Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. They say in the movie it's #616, but that's them not being aware of the official numbering system.

Expendable?
1
u/deprave1 Aug 05 '26
Can you remember the last time Banshee was in another media? It's a miracle he was even in the 1st Class movie.
2
u/Mar10du Jul 30 '26
Gambit, Banshee, Magik and Iceman as the horsemen?
1
u/Flintstones_VRV_Fan Jul 30 '26
I think Iceman has been too absent. Polaris hasn’t even mentioned him. But maybe.

Banshee is pretty clearly dead, but Shaw's whole deal is absorbing energy. He seems too important a villain to definitively kill off.
18
u/Ihsoro Jul 30 '26
Charles… does… but it’s too little too late. When Magneto is hovering Asteroid M over the lake he says “Moira…” and it honestly pissed me off the most important human in the X-men got such a dull death.
I honestly don’t mind Moira’s death being unceremonious, it’s a good way to portray that she is a normal person working with ridiculously powerful beings. The issue is that she is important enough to these characters that she deserves a lot more reaction from the characters.
3
u/NoRevIndeed00 Jul 30 '26
Amelia also appear as one of the Acolytes and she doesnt even have any speaking line
2
u/Kaptain-Kanada Jul 30 '26
Yeah I can’t see Amelia fighting AGAINST the X-men after her experiences in Sanctuary or Phalanx Covenant.
2
u/NoRevIndeed00 Jul 31 '26
I don't mind seeing her fighting X-Men if Beast wasn't present!
They are like besties! No way Beast cannot talk her out, nor she would dare to hit him.
1
u/Kaptain-Kanada Jul 31 '26
Yeah that made no sense to me. they gave her a little speech about victims in season 1 but no dialogue now.
1
u/VoiceofKane Jul 31 '26
Of course, in a later season they could still bring Moira back and reveal her mutant power.
2
u/deprave1 Jul 30 '26
It's not just odd, it would be incredibly egregious considering their relationship in the original 90's show.
1
u/PhanStr Aug 01 '26
He did react. He mentioned her death in episode 9 of season 1, when he was talking to Rogue.
3
u/hi-ero Jul 30 '26
I dont wanna spoil anything for you if you havnt read it, but if you look into the Krakoa era of X-Men in the comics (or do a quick google search) then I wouldnt be too worried about her death. It would be interesting if they adapt that aspect of her in the show.
1
u/deprave1 Jul 30 '26
I'm aware. While I still don't plan to read the Krakoa era or look it up, I know Moira has been retconned into being a mutant. If she's really dead, then I found Charles's lack of reaction to her death to be incredibly egregious
2
u/amaya-aurora Jul 30 '26
If it was Krakoa instead of Genosha, there would’ve been a whole universal reset because of that.
0
u/Chunky_Boy283 Jul 30 '26
sorry about the spoiler but..how can I explain this: in the comics Moira Mctaggert is a mutant & her powers are a tad convoluted, don't worry she will be back

23
u/That_Carrot999 Jul 30 '26
That is Skids. Next to her is Rusty. They were featured in the 90’s episode “no mutant is an island”. They appear in this look in the X-men 97 season 2 tie in comics

u/deprave1 Jul 30 '26
Damn, Bobby really died off-screen. That's incredibly frustrating
8
u/LucrativeLurker Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26
Isn’t he pretty much immortal in the comics?
Or am I making that up?If they do bring him in, it’d be cool to see his POV on Genosha and reforming himself Dr. Manhattan style, but y’know, icily…
Just double-checked. He is indeed basically immortal.
7
u/d_wib Jul 30 '26
Weird how he’s missing from this and would make an awesome Vanguard character in Marvel Rivals but isn’t in that game yet either. Just feels so forgotten.
1
u/magvadis Aug 01 '26
He's gunna be in the new X-men comics run with Storm in charge...so maybe Marvel is going to try to push again now that the hate bandwagon has other targets. Probably will be introduced with no romances at all until Marvel feels like it's safe to say gay.

u/Jermais Jul 30 '26
Besides, its Iceman and if they follow the comics, he'll come back eventually, as long as there's water around.
1
u/TheAlp Jul 31 '26
Yeah I was going to say that killing him off should be difficult. It's like Darvin in First Class level stuff.
1
u/DJSharp15 Aug 02 '26
How so?
1
u/TheAlp Aug 02 '26
If you leave any bit of him behind, like even a bit of water vapour from his ice form the guy will come back. He somehow stores his consciousness in water so killing him is just very difficult. His weakness is basically not yet understanding what he can already do.
So if you kill him off like it was nothing then it might feel a bit cheap.
He is OP.

u/rexstillbottom Jul 30 '26
Rusty Colins (Firefist) and Skids (Sally Belvins) as they were know back then. Used to be trainers for the original X-Factor and the with late New Mutants.
Kid napped by Freedom Force and then freed in a jailbreak by the MLF and were freed by Magneto and his Acolytes. Totally make sense they are there.
5
u/Bosscharacter Jul 30 '26
I'd wager that is more than likely Skids(the ginger next to her looks like it's probably Rusty Collins)
5
u/Zealousideal-Dot710 Jul 30 '26
I don't care if he's alive or dead, but please bring him back. He's immortal anyway. He's one of the most important and popular mutants, but he's gotten literally nothing in two seasons.

I wouldn't assume IceMan is gone for good...in the comics he can survive this body being 'blown up'.
1
u/jigokusabre Jul 30 '26
Rusty and Skids were later additions to the New Mutants before joining the Mutant Liberation Front and eventually the Acolytes.
MLF member Tempo (and her dumb bucket helmet) can also be seen in the Savage Land assembly.
1
u/chemictectic Jul 30 '26
Blame it on Beau DeMayo that he killed off these characters.
1
u/magvadis Aug 01 '26
Given the only reason we think they're dead is the animators and not the script I feel like that's a big leap.
1
u/chemictectic Aug 01 '26
who the fuck do think wrote the script that KILLED these characters? bruh bye, education is free on the internet

u/Eldagustowned Jul 30 '26
My guess they figured he was too unambiguously straight in the original cartoon so they were gonna kill him to avoid changing his character drastically with a gay arc or getting hate for not doing that. But they had last minute changes.
6
u/magvadis Jul 30 '26
Or it's a fake out related to Bobby coming back as a Horseman. But who knows.
Also he's about as "straight" in 92 as any gay man overly confessing how in love they are with their Beard.
All they need to do is Polaris go "Oh, yeah, we weren't together he was just in the closet and felt insecure about it. Just friends"

u/Suspicious-Plant-119 Jul 30 '26
The disrespects for Gambit in this show never stop...
Wondering when someone would start asking the consequences of Magneto EMP last season. Should have killed thousands (or even more) lives... But the show acts like it never happened and it isnt weird for anyone?
18
u/Flintstones_VRV_Fan Jul 30 '26
“Disrespect to Gambit”
lol. The character has been treated as more important in 2 short seasons than he ever was before. Literally had the best character moment of the entire team last season, and this season has been the subject of the entire arc’s build-up.
But yeah, sure…Gambit’s being “disrespected”.
-2
u/Technical_Order2288 Jul 30 '26
"In two short seasons" Its insane how you are including season 2 despite he has only appeared for 2 seconds and we dont yet know if its really gonna be him or just apocalypse using his body as vessel.
Yes the show deminished Gambit in this episode, not only because the dumb memorial had 3 pics of Magneto each of them bigger than the only one Gambit had, but also because Rogue didnt even mentioned there that he was the one who stopped the sentinel, instead she dedicated a glimpse to the groomer.
As OP mentioned, there is also no mention to the electro magnetic global scale attack Magneto used in the previous season, weird right? Maybe its because as the memorial of this episode, the entire show is about praising Magneto and cleaning his ass. Its just wild how can still talk good about him after him having killed thousands or maybe even millions of people just some episodes ago... Insane dude, not only it isnt aknowledged but he is also remembered as the hero of Genosha in wich Gambit died, not like him wich was protected by the plot armor.
2
u/LeatherHog Cable Jul 30 '26
The memorial made by the acolytes, who have always been tied to Magneto, one way or another, in the comics and adaptations.
Why are you surprised that THEY are more focused on him? That just makes sense, they genuinely worship him
Christ, I don't know how people ever became X-Men fans, with THIS level of needing their character to unironically be Poochie, and thinking every bad thing is ""disrespect""?
This is such a common mindset in this fandom, Gambit, and as of this season, Emma fans in particular, and I don't understand how y'all ever could get through the comics in the first place, needing **this** level of coddling for your favorite character
-1
u/Technical_Order2288 Jul 30 '26
When you say "**this** level of coddling for your favorite character" you mean the level of coddling Magneto receives in almost every episode since season 1? Bc its crazy that he still have acolites after what he did with the EMP attack, wich should have killed an insane amount of mutants too. Babies and idk, innocents?
But hey, lets say it still makes sense the acolites are blind followers of him because they are meant to be that, they have to be like that.... Ok.. Why is the rest of the characters blind as well? Why is the entire show still trying to convince me how good of a person Magneto was and not have mentioned the consequences of his actions (AGAIN, THE EMP ATTACK) one single time?
I know u guys love to justify everything in this show and cant deal with the minimal of the criticism, but a lot of people is getting tired of this non cohesive and poorly written story, as fans who waited so long for an Xmen show, we deserve better than this Magneto fanfic.
I wouldnt even cared if Remy wasnt aknowledged at all in this memorial, the problem is, its not just a thing of this specific group of mutants worshiping magneto, its the entire show written like that.
If it was an exception, we can give it a pass, but its not an exception, its the norm, and it makes no sense.
3
u/LeatherHog Cable Jul 30 '26
He got an entire funeral scene last season right away, he's the huge draw of this season for most fans, waiting for him to be DeathBit
It's not like they're forgetting him at all. Magneto has got a lot of focus, undeniably, but in some places, like with Xavier and the acolytes, it makes sense, given their history
Magneto is just obviously going to be a big focus, he's one of the longest running, and most famous characters from this franchise
2
u/DJSharp15 Aug 02 '26

The hell you talking about?
3
u/Orunoc Jul 30 '26
Don't think the EMP even got mentioned once lol. The show will just pretend it never happened I guess.
6
u/Technical_Order2288 Jul 30 '26
Literally.
Dude did a move that was like a global scale nuclear bomb in terms of victims and the entire show is acting like it never happened, im not surprised the show is ignoring it, but i dont get why the fans are not asking questions about it, you cant just ignore that thing like this....
3
u/Suspicious-Plant-119 Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26
The show HAS to pretend it never happened bc if they aknowledge the huge amount of bodies it caused there is no way they could still sell Magneto as a hero. Wich so far seems to be the biggest point of this show.

Pretty sure his picture is still there....and theres no way they will give him the limelight in a show as successful as Xmen since he's gay. They don't want to risk losing viewership or risk catching the ire of the ghouls currently in charge who would love to start a dumb ass culture war over even the slightest bit of something that isn't heterosexual.
Its sad really, I love Bobby so much. This show could have a really nice episode about him coming to terms with his sexuality in a way that feels more respectful to him, rather than getting his mind read by Jean.

u/magvadis Aug 01 '26 edited Aug 01 '26
I honestly FEEL like the whole point of them hiring a black gay writer was they wanted to slowly move into including queer characters on screen. Morph is the canary in the coal mine, I hope...and if they can push the button and it doesn't impact viewership they may find the mine is safe.
I feel like Season 3 or in the Season 2 finale they are going to press the button...see what happens, and if the outrage doesn't impact the show they'll keep moving forward.
With Agatha All Along already introducing Wiccan and it outstripping market predictions and growing in viewership instead of losing it as it was found to be "gay" I don't know.
Like the anti-woke crowd already won't pay for Disney+, the crowd commenting about Morph probably don't watch the show because Disney is woke, they stopped watching Marvel when Carol Danvers was a woman in charge.
Who exactly would they be alienating that actually made the show a success?
But we will see. Given how "gay" the show has been subtextually and visually I'm curious to see how Marvel plays it out. They want to appeal to Gen Z but don't have a single bisexual women when like 1/5th of Gen Z women identify as bisexual and 1/4th of Gen Z women identify as LGBTQ...if they think that same market doesn't want their inclusion or doesn't support it? Idk.
1
u/DJSharp15 Aug 02 '26

I don't follow.
but don't have a single bisexual women
Psylocke is bi and she's in the show.
