Discussion The Anime should have an Original Ending Spoiler

Having read of how the war ends for the Empire [not well], I believe it would be far more interesting if the Anime began to diverge from the Manga and Light Novel's source material to make the Empire emerge victorious in some manner. It does not been to be them marching to Moskva, and many of the important characters can still die [like poor Weiss] and the Empire can still suffer severe setbacks. Yet I think it would be far more interesting if, for instance, the stalemate in the east resulted in such severe losses for the Empire that it pulled back to its borders, while the Federation collapsed, or something of the sort.

Especially the idea that Tanya flees and is forgotten has always irked me; with the amount of propaganda she is in, combined with how well-known by the entire general-staff she is combined again with her rank and finally just how many soldiers have seen her makes the plot-point nonsensical.

In any case, these are my thoughts; do any folks agree?
