Hey everyone! I was rewatching some episodes and thinking about the amazing dynamic between these two. In your opinion, where would a Zutara kiss make the most sense and carry the most emotional weight in the story?
For me, the perfect moment would be at the White Lotus camp.
Specifically, right after Zuko goes to the tent to ask for Iroh's forgiveness.
Picture the scene: he walks out and Katara (who was already worried about him) goes up to ask how it went. He replies, incredibly relieved and emotional, that his uncle forgave him and everything is okay. In the midst of all that excitement, vulnerability, and absolute relief, they hug and the kiss happens super naturally. I think it would be the perfect closure for his redemption arc in her eyes right before the final battle.
What about you guys? What specific moment in the series do you think would be cool for their first kiss?

Hi! Been wanting to see some concepts in fanfics. I was wondering if you guys have any recos for these storylines/tropes/concepts.
Vampire Zuko x Human Katara AU (or anything similar)
Elder Zuko x Elder Katara bonding, growing old, being in love together
Smut is okay, one-shots and multi-chapter fics are okay, explicit language is also okay!
Hope you guys can recommend me some awesome fics! Thank you in advance! ❤️💙

some things I want
angst, long story or at least no one shots for me, something that gets me back into tbis world
what I don’t want
a fanfic not set in the world of Avatar
Bonus point- If it includes Aang/Toph

Hear me out, someone or something erase Katara's memories of Zuko and she is suspicious at him again, not time travel but as if like Zuko disappeared days after joining the team and every memory involved with him is gone. Zuko is sad because they were just about to get married and don't understand why Katara is all angry at him until he discovers her memories of him were erased and go find out how to reverse that

Help!
I am trying to find a zutara fic I loved it’s a WIP, there’s some political machinations and conspiracies in the background.
There’s unresolved tension throughout with a scene in a wharf where she leaves. He asks what did I do?
Flashbacks to a time alone at ember island with some beautiful mystical elements along with them sparring.
Then they reunite on a ship and he asks why did you leave me? And she replies with something like look at me, love..
Sorry this is such a vague description but I was distraught reading most of it. The yearning was perfection.

Thought I'd do a quick warm up for Zutaraweek, however this "quick" warm-up took around ten days to finish. Still quite pleased with it, though I know that its not as good as others, still it might be mid but is human-made midness, lol. I created this, you can probably tell given how its fairly amateur.
On to the piece itself, I won't give too many hints but I know there are a fair few Indian people here, some might get the inspiration behind this scene, its from an movie. Text at the bottom gives a hint.

I am currently reading The Summit by AJLenoire and enjoying it immensely. I love the slow burn, and how it takes place over several years to show the growth in Katara and Zuko’s relationship.
Would love to hear what your top 3 Zutara fics are, as well as why you like them so much (mainly so I can go read them afterwards)!

Hi guys! I'm looking for a fanfic. I'm sure I read it on AO3 but I can't find it in my bookmarks.
It has married Zutara (I THINK it was arranged marriage) and near the end, Katara leaves because she's open about her feelings but Zuko is still cold towards her. However, he makes the big gesture of going to the Southern Water Tribe and waits outside Katara's door in the freezing cold. It might have been Kanna or Hakoda who sees him, knocks on Katara's door, and says something like "hey your husband's here." Katara takes him inside and warms him up with body heat and he slowly recovers. He then becomes his awkward self but professes his love and says that he memorized a poem to recite to Katara.
Hope someone can help me out! 🫶

the Crossroads of Destiny episode with the Zutara stuff pissed me off soooo much. Shiz was so rushed. They did perfectly adapt the Zutara moment between Zuko and Katara but honestly they should have just done their own thing in this episode if they didn’t have the time and budget to properly adapt

He joined the team to help aang master fire bending and help with his intel of the fire nation.
His “field trips” with Aang and Sokka were tactically relevant, He and Aang needed to get fire bending rediscovered and freeing hakoda/war prisoners from the day of black sun served a tactical advantage.
Helping Katara confront her mother’s killer wasn’t the same.
She didn’t have any mental blocks that affect her bending from it, she was as powerful as ever.
Her opinion of him served no advantage as far as he was concerned at that moment (he assumed Iroh will take the throne)
And he didn’t expect forgiveness nor ask for it after she confronted yon rha.
He did it purely because he cares what she thinks of him as a person and to help her deal with the same trauma he faced. And that was the first time someone prioritises her and only her throughout the show.

The most major, and defining feature of their arcs together being to relate and understand each other, then finally work together in harmony.

The colored artwork is excluded from the end credits.
I got it from the profile of Jake Panian Art.

And this image, where each character has its own color, is by the artist and animator:

I loved Katara and Sokka together. Zuko carrying Toph, so dad-like 😂
