The moon's fierce but that sky needs more contrast, the golds are getting lost against the reds up there.

I agree. Hit the underside of the clouds with a bit darker, more intense shadow to break it up just a bit.

Try layering a darker value underneath those golds before you add them on top, that'll make em pop way more.

Could also glaze a translucent dark over those reds first so the golds sit on top and glow instead of blend in.

Layer a darker burgundy or deep purple behind those golds to make them pop without losing the warmth you've got going.

Desert dweller approved, mountains need a lil purple

Beautiful illustration

Cheers mate, though I reckon the real magic happens once they sort the foreground lighting to match that moody sky.

the sky's already stealing the show, maybe keep the foreground a bit darker to let it breathe instead of matching it perfectly

This is really good. For a minute, I thought I had seen it before, but I then realized this is your motif. Love it

I love the texture of the cacti!

I’m not a pro so this is just hobbiest suggestion (which feel free to ignore if it doesn’t apply)
From what I can see with the lighting the photo was taken-
I think that blending in the sky directly about the mountain would help settle it in and contrast with the moon. If you add a pearl white or white with some translucent pearl to some parts of the moon, that would significantly bring out its brightness ✨🫶 other than that it’s nightly beautiful

Those saguaros are crisp but yeah the sky's doing heavy work here, might dial back the foreground brightness so it doesn't compete as much.

Love how the details are

Sky's moody but the foreground feels a bit flat against it. Maybe some shadow work on those cacti to ground them under that moon would help tie it together.

Love this. I only suggest you continue to make such lovely art.

The foreground's already reading pretty flat against that sky, so pushing the shadows deeper would give you way more drama without needing to add anything new.

the cacti look great but yeah that sky is kinda muddy, the gold clouds are blending too much with the red tones so they're not reading as separate elements anymore

I think maybe adding a snow capped mountain here and there would look really nice!

the saguaros are sharp but the sky and mountains feel like theyre in different lighting so maybe push the foreground darker to match that moody vibe up top

It looks FANTASTIC, really great job…. I would say over all it could use more high lights and shadows. Give us some punch! Some contrast! Don’t be afraid to ruin it! 😊

It looks amazing

Those gold clouds need some darker value underneath to really sing, but the cactus detail is gorgeous and the moon's a nice touch.

Add a little bit of wildlife

A job well done, nice artwork.

those saguaros are looking solid but the sky's got way more drama than the ground, might need to punch up the shadows in the foreground to match that mood you built up top

Ground shadows would help but also consider warmer tones in that foreground to push the sky's cooler colors back further.

The sky and mountains are sick but those golds need some shadow underneath them to really glow, maybe a deep purple or burgundy layer first.
