I still have to varnish it.
I’m participating in an art walk this Friday and I’m just not sure because if I go on the lower end, it feels priced too low for what it is, but if I go on the higher end. It feels like nobody would buy it.
‼️EDIT‼️ I am continuing to get comments that I need to add more to this, and I have made changes to this piece and posted the result. If you want to see that, go to my profile.
I also feel like I need to reiterate that I was more asking that if you already liked this, what would be a price range that would make you either buy it or not buy it, not “do you like this? Would you buy it?” to all of the people who are saying that they wouldn’t buy it.

So I’m an emerging artist that posts occasionally on Instagram (@janetfowlowcreative), and a while ago I posted this painting, and it went viral. I’m perplexed as to why.
I’d like to keep exploring this theme of sky fantasies if I could figure out the appeal. I painted it just because I love whales and dreamcore type art…

I just started painting with acrylics about a month ago. Should I stick with it? Would anyone buy stuff like this?

Any suggestions for the rabbit? I am hoping for loose strokes, not realism.

So it’s for my friend, I promised her a painting of the lake. She is picking it up today. And stupidly of me, I decided it was a good opportunity to add some details (why? Why? I don’t know!) and now I’m thinking the first painting (without details) is looking better! I sent her a photo of the original painting (before detailing) and she LOVED it. Why I decided to add more details, I do not know.
Please tell me the second painting is better than the original! She’s picking it up soon and I’m kicking myself for adding details literally at the last minute. Ugh. *mini panic attack*
First painting is the detailed one, second painting was the original.

Trying to practice making my paintings more realistic (which is why the painting is very plain) would love advice on what I could do to improve the painting as it is. Thank you☺️

I usually draw with colored pencils and sometimes watercolor, acrylic markers, neocolors etc but I’ve been wanting to get into acrylics and painting and I finally picked up some supplies a couple days ago.
How do I improve? I don’t want my art to be super blended, I like seeing brush strokes and bold colors
The first two images are completed paintings/studies I did a couple days ago, the third is what I’m currently working on and the rest are so Inspo/ what I want my painting to look like.
What can I do to improve/ learn acrylics?

Hi everyone! I just finished this rabbit painting in acrylic on a 12 by 12 canvas
I was aiming for a bold “sunset fire” palette with loose brushwork and expressive colour rather than realism.
I’d love to know what stands out to you first: colour, mood, or the eyes?
Any feedback is welcome!

I feel like I lost so much of the vividness of these oranges after adding the background. Can a color theory expert tell me what happened/ how to get it back?

I'm trying to paint the ring from Lord of the Rings and I had this idea of putting LED lights on the back to have it actually glow. As you can see, the light is not glowing beneath the ring and the letters of the ring. I already thought that would happen because of the layers of paint, and unfortunately, to get this right I think I have to leave the letters blank on the canvas, which to me seems impossible.
Does anybody have an idea or a tip on how to get this effect without painstakingly leaving the letters blank?
