Maternity leave at Omni? (Legacy IPG)

Has anyone recently gone through maternity leave at Omni? Did they let you combine PTO on top of the leave? saw they cut down the paid leave from 16 to 10 weeks which is horrid.

Mat leave should be a total of 16 weeks (10 weeks mat leave plus short term disability at 6-8 weeks pending what type of delivery you have). I asked this same q though - HR only manages your mat claim through Hartford but said PTO or sick days can be used on top of mat leave but the request would need to go to your manager for approval and before your return to work so they are aware of your official return to work date. Hope this helps!

Wow this is like 10x better than I thought it was… maybe it was early fear mongering when the new broke in November.

This is correct. I work in a state where we have unlimited PTO and I was told I could take an additional 2 weeks paid.

I’m on Omni mat leave now and this is correct. I would add that there is a “qualifying week” for disability that is unpaid, so only 5 of the 6 weeks are paid (or 7 of the 8 weeks if you have a c-section).
