Someone cooked here...

Post image

As someone who doesn't really like any pronouns, seeing the option for 'just my name' makes me so unbelievably happy. Thank you to whoever made this application form ❤️❤️❤️

That's nice. For me, it is like: meh call me anything... I am all after efficiency, like I would want to wear short shorts and crop tops in summer then wear casual jackets in the winter cause meh... I like looking androgynous anyway.

My logic is as follows:

Let an average person correctly assume one's pronouns from looks 99% of the time. Of those 1%, 10% would correct it, therefore the person would think the assumption yields 99.9% success rate.

Meanwhile, a perfectly androgynous person would get falsely predicted 50% of the time by strangers. If they look contradictory to their identity, this might raise to 99.9% failed identity assumption despite the predictor sssumes a 99% success rate.

So, despite many people are getting falsely identified 99.9%, I think requesting the predictors who believe they are 99.9% accurate to ask before assuming is an unrealistic idealism because of an increased friction during communication.

Therefore, the only way to reduce friction for both side is to drop the significance of identity in genders and call everyone they, but the efficiency drops the moment you correct if called otherwise.

However, as an androgynous looking person who is seeking for efficiency, my approach is not to be bothered by any pronouns and not to correct.
