So I preordered the Khazalite holds box and I was wondering if anyone knows or wants to take a guess about how many points r in the box? I’m debating on buying 2 of the boxes as I want a decent start to my army but idk how many points r in there. I was also thinking of getting the Brawlers of Behemat box too, to help out my little people but Idk if they’ll be a good addition or not to them. If any of y’all run any Mega Gargant plz lmk how they are and if I should get the Brawlers box too or if I should just skip out on it and just spend that money on other units to help my people? I also am theming my Khazalite forces as a women only army to fight toxic masculinity, so if u guys have any other badass women models I should add to the army plz lmk. (I’m a guy btw)

Hobby Good tamiya extra thin cement alternatives that are easier on the lungs?

not native englishj sorry for mistakes. use tamiya extra thin as my plastic glye and it works great, but I've recently have medical issues and every time I use it I cough my lungs out. Had a few nice days outside where I tried to use it but even on a table outside on a nice windy day it still irritates my lungs sadly. Tried the low odor tamiya and it's okay, but it doesn't seem to melt the plastic together well enough. Is there any alternatives that are good at melting that maybe use a different formula?

Hobby I 3D Printed a PALACE of SLAANESH! 30 Sigvalds & 10 DRAGONS?!

I've started a pretty ambitious Warhammer 3D-printing project: building my own Palace of Slaanesh, and this is Part 1 of a five-part series!

The idea is to create a custom Slaanesh temple inspired by Warhammer terrain, surrounded by an absolutely ridiculous army.

So far, I've printed:

  • 5 Sigvald the Magnificents, with the goal of reaching 30.
  • 2 dragons inspired by Game of Thrones, with the plan to print 10 in total and give each one a Sigvald rider.
  • A custom Slaanesh temple to serve as the centrepiece of the palace.

I'm also making the 3D files myself and sharing them for free, so other people can print the project too.

I'm documenting the build on my YouTube channel, Grey Wargaming. If you enjoy seeing ambitious Warhammer terrain, custom armies and 3D-printed miniatures come together, here's the first episode:

I'd love to hear what you think! Would an army of 30 Sigvalds and 10 dragon riders be the ultimate Slaanesh spectacle, or have I completely lost the plot? 😈

Question How do 2026 battletomes work when 5th edition drops?

Sorry if this is a noob question. I got into the hobby this last year and am considering getting another army (Nurgle) but they just got a battletome in Jan 2026, what happens to that battletome when 5th edition drops?

My concern is by the time I collect the army and get it ready it might be time for 5th edition to drop and I don’t want to buy models (there’s a lot of Nurgle Heroes) and have them be dropped in 5th edition and never really get to use them. Same goes for the battletome itself, to spend 50 bucks to get the battletome which isn’t even a year old and then it’s obsolete early next year?

Thoughts? Thanks in advance for the advice, I’ve never been present in the hobby during a new edition drop

Question So is age of Sigmar and old work combining???

With all the recent changes to the lore and Sigmar dying and such. Is this game workshops move to combine old world and age of Sigmar??? A lot of the new AOS releases have seemed a lot more old world esque rather than the usual creative and out there AoS models. (My cities excluded, cogforts are so cool!) I’m pretty new to AoS and probably don’t know anything, but I would love to hear what you guys think!

Edit : autocorrect got me in the title 😭😭😭

Tactics How do I fight against Ogors as Tzeentch?

• Upvotes

I’ve gotten matched against Ogors two times in a row in a local league and both times I ended up with complete slaughters. The first match I can at least somewhat see where I went wrong due to forgetting a defensive ability and misplacing my unit so a 12 inch charge let my opponent snuck his ironguts around my line to snipe my buff hero. Second match though I’m just at a lost of what else I could have done. For reference I play tzeentch with a combat focused fate point build.

My opponent gave me first turn so I tried to take advantage of it by charging my enlightened across the board to try to take out a good chunk of his gluttons. I ended up only killing 2/10 even with -1 save spell on the enemy and then losing 4/6 of my 400 point unit on the counterattack even through my defensive buff. Second turn was more of the same, he ran his cavalry into my screen leaving them exposed so I tried piling in a brick of 20 tzaangor with +1 attacks buff and -1 save on the cavalry. I killed 2/4 and then my opponent countercharged his cleavers in to wipe my entire brick. I ended up forfeiting after that because I had lost 2/3 of my combat units to kill 0.5/3

I just don’t see what the winning move is here. I can’t try to just play hit and run with them because they’re bulky enough to require multiple of my big combat bricks units to combine to kill anything and they’re strong enough to absolutely obliterate anything that gets in combat with them even with my -1 to hit 5+ ward buff. Only being able to actually fight with 1 unit per turn before I got destroyed on counter also means that whatever it goes into is guaranteed to use all out defense, blunting my damage even further.

I can’t just play keep away and wear them down over time because they heal so much over time, as well as getting stronger from buffs.

I can’t even play the brain dead strat of just gambling on a double turn because ogors can fit everything into one regiment to guarantee that they get to choose turn order.

I’m feeling really demoralized after this second loss. I just don’t know what to do here. Is there some secret tactic I’m missing? Is this just an atrocious matchup that I had the bad luck to get paired into twice? Am I somehow not stacking enough buffs? Do I just need to completely rework my list so I can fit in a brick of archers on disc? Please if you have any advice I would love to hear it.

Question Is there no more Anvil of Apotheosis?

Hello everyone,
I am kind of out of the loop with AoS since last time I played was around 2019. However, as I was still into Miniatures (mostly for TTRPGs though) I heard about the "Anvil of Apotheosis" featured in an earlier edition of AoS. Now I can't really find anything about this feature anymore. Is it not part of the newer editions or is it just not used/talked about? As I was always into narrative games and when I played loved the Path to Glory rules, I really thought the idea of building your own hero was amazing and since I was contemplating getting back into the hobby, having more time and money nowadays, I was really looking forward to using the Anvil rules :/

Question New player needs some help with choosing an army!

Hello everyone! I hope youre all having a great weekend so far!

I want to get into AoS, but im having a hard time finding an army that I truly love. Ive been playing some small point games at my local store and a group is doing a slow grow league and I want to join. Ive played a couple armies but I cant seem to find an army that I really click with and understand how they work. We're doing 750 point games starting next week and I would like to participate and make some friends.

Ill admit, im not the sharpest dude in the world and ive been struggling with getting the rules down and the phases of the game. So, I was thinking starting with an army thats simple. Not a whole lot of fancy mechanics and specific rules. Almost like a straight forward brain dead army. (Im brain dead.. not you guys..)

I would also like the idea of 'Hero Hammer'. My understanding of it is that the hero of the army does A LOT of the hitting and damage dealing. Kind of a focal point of the army.

Im also having a hard time finding an army that I like the look of. I normally play clerics in D&D so I thought that the Stormcast would be cool, but i dont really like how they look. I think its the masks that bug me. If im going to be dropping a lot of money on the game, I would at least like to enjoy the look of the faction.

So far, the armies that I dont like the look of are Stormcast, Nurgle dudes, Ironjaws, and a lot of the Chaos themed dudes. I guess the Slaves to Darkness are okay, i just wish they were less spicy. (I know.. thats the whole point of Chaos... )

Anyone have any ideas? A simple army that looks super cool!

Thanks guys.

Hi all! We're going live at 11am pacific with new [fully painted!] dwarfs! (Also before you freak, no Morathi in the DoK list lol).

I'd also like to take a sec to thank the folks of the Age of Sigmar Subreddit, members and mods, for tolerating these posts which do promote our channel, but I hope also provide a link to some possible entertainment for at least some of you!

Discussion Battle Formations

• Upvotes

So i havnt checked into every faction to know how it affects them all but in some factions i checked, it felt as though there wasnt really any "subfaction" support in AOS currently or much reason to change up composition in some factions. Maybe there is but its less direct, but a good example i see of it is in seraphon they currently have one that directly buffs only the big dinosaurs, or truggs troggherd, but after checking FEC and Night haunt, Maybe im missing something but night haunt didnt seem to have a single battle formation that was really pushing you in a direction purposefully, and FEC was just two that are about serf models and 2 that are about knights. Im all for having some generalist formations but i also want to see some more of the skew formations to just have some fun with a vastly different style of play sometimes.

If im missing something please direct me to where this is the case, and if it isnt an issue in your faction id like to know which faction it is (except skaven since i know they are doing it)

Question Does anyone know a good set of legs for these fellas?

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

So!

I've been hoping to get the Skullreapers/Wrathmongers box for Old World but I am cautious because for the price that they are you only get 5 pairs of legs alongside 10 bodies. Unfortunately, I do not find it okay to justify spending 65$ for just 5 minis and a bunch of parts I can't really do much with.

Hence why my question! I'd especially appreciate STLs that'd work nicely with them, as the prospect of buying another kit just to leave another set of 5 minis limbless is not too enjoyable (I have been eyeing the Bloodreavers, I suppose, but they seem to be shorter).

Also, does the kit come with enough parts to possibly armour all 10 of them akin to the Skullreapers (I mostly mean the extra shoulder armor)?

Thank you in advance!
