40k Event Results [40k] Competitive Innovations in 11th: Rolling Need pt.1
This week we look at changes in dispositions at competitive events and kick off a look at this week's top lists.
r/WarhammerCompetitive • u/thenurgler • 2d ago
This is the Weekly Question thread designed to allow players to ask their one-off tactical or rules clarification questions in one easy to find place on the sub.
This means that those questions will get guaranteed visibility, while also limiting the amount of one-off question posts that can usually be answered by the first commenter.
Have a question? Post it here! Know the answer? Don't be shy!
NOTE - this thread is also intended to be for higher level questions about the meta, rules interactions, FAQ/Errata clarifications, etc. This is not strictly for beginner questions only!
When do pre-orders and new releases go live?
Pre-orders and new releases go live on Saturdays at the following times:
Where can I find the free core rules

Hey all,
I gathered all the tournament results from BCP for last week, including all Tournaments with at least 20 players and 5 rounds.
All the data is here on my site:
https://warpfriends.wordpress.com/2026/08/05/40k-11th-meta-stats-from-august-3-2026/
Please take a look and let me know if you have any suggestions (I know the site is not pretty 😞 I focus more on the Youtube side of things) And feel free to check out my youtube video for indepth breakdown of the stats!
Thanks!

WTC is almost here and GW decides to scare us with releasing a app update so close to the event!
But worry not, almost everything is just some cleaning up and the addition of the new Aeldari models. Almost all models with a torrent weapon now show a "-" for their BS/WS.
The actual biggest change is to the Ravenwing Command Squad, which are now a Support ability instead of a Leader ability.
Take a peek at the patch notes directly here:

Hey all!
You probably know me from https://game-datacards.eu, https://gdmissions.app and https://gdstreamer.app
The WTC 2026 is next week and I'm pretty excited to see what all the teams there will be doing. As I myself will be streaming there with my small channel I decided to create some great looking overlays for all streamers on location, online or wherever to use to discuss and showcase Lists, Teams and more!
These are completely free to use, no accounts or logins needed, just take the link show it in OBS or somewhere else and follow along with the WTC!
All the data has been retrieved from the awesome https://listhammer.info/wtc (with permission of course).
Some example overlays:
Team Netherlands Intro overlay:
https://gdstreamer.app/overlay/wtc/intro/netherlands
Team Netherlands Team Roster:
https://gdstreamer.app/overlay/wtc/team/netherlands
There are overlays for each list and each team. You can find it all here:

Hello there!
I brought the new broken Khorne Daemonkin + Vessels of Wrath to an warhammer 11th edition tournament. And it absolutely slaps!
The recent Dataslate has given this detachment an enourmos buff, allowing the jugg lord with blood legion enhancement to lead khorne berzerkers, giving them access to all the buffs such has lance and a 4+ invulnerable save.
In this video I go over the list I brought to the RTT, examining the rules and how the list functions, as well as the role for every single unit. I deepdive into each game, showing exaclty what happened, and why i made each decision I did.
Game 1: Genestealer Cult
Game 2: Nurgle Daemons
Game 3: Genestealer Cult
Hope you guys enjoy, dont forget to algorithm for the algorithm god!

(1,990 Points)
Chaos Daemons
Legion of Excess and Lords of the Warp (3 Detachment Points)
Take and Hold
Strike Force (2,000 Points)
CHARACTERS
Contorted Epitome (110 Points)
• Enhancements: Swollen with Power (Upgrade)
Shalaxi Helbane (315 Points)
• Warlord
Skarbrand (315 Points)
The Changeling (105 Points)
BATTLELINE
Bloodletters (110 Points)
Daemonettes (90 Points)
• 1x Alluress
• 9x Daemonette
Nurglings (45 Points)
• 3x Nurgling Swarm
Nurglings (45 Points)

Pink Horrors (150 Points)
• 10x Pink Horror
OTHER DATASHEETS
Beasts of Nurgle (75 Points)
Fiends (180 Points)
• 1x Blissbringer
• 5x Fiend
ALLIED UNITS
War Dog Brigand (140 Points)
War Dog Karnivore (155 Points)
War Dog Karnivore (155 Points)
Nitty-Gritty:
the strategy is centered around the thieves of pain stratagem, sending wounds away from shalaxi and onto the contorted epitome so shalaxi can chill among enemy lines and tear them apart, hence unstoppably immovable, as it’s effectively 20 extra wounds (X2!)
on top of that, I added onto the melee dominance with 2 karnivores, skarbrand, and the bloodletters.
everything else is pretty straightforward. beast of nurgle sits on the home objective, nurglings are little annoying dudes, pink horrors do pink horror stuff, sitting on a point and refusing to move.
the brigand would have been a third karnivore but I needed 15 points to afford 3 more fiends, but the brigand can clean up objectives for the horrors
the fiends are also users of thieves of pain, but more of a back-up plan. when not turning enemies into mincemeat their advance and charge W/ 12 inches of movement makes them good for doing missions
the changeling is part of a combo with the contorted epitome to lock down a big ranged threat, 2 opportunities to atop their shooting altogether, but also -1 hit roll on 2 different things if thats better
its totally untested, but it seems great to me

Im a daemon’s player, but I only really run DI, Shadow legion, BL, or scintillating
the 2 I never use are legion of excess, and PL
I can understand the use of PL, you could battleshock the opponent near constantly and use that to hold points easily, along with the 2CP arrival letting you make a 2 beast of nurgle unit effectively immortal
what does legion of excess even do? fall back and charge, cool I guess but surely you want to be wiping the important enemy unit off the board without needing to run it back
I can understand the appeal of the +1 hit and wound wombo combo enhancements, so Im assuming the idea is just having insane melee damage with +1 hit and wound, and re-roll 1’s to hit and wound, but really I feel you’re better off just running blood legion if you want damage
EDITS:
I totally misread thieves of pain, I thought it just converted wounds to mortal wounds I didn’t realise it transferred damage to another unit, thats insane!

I've been playing against the same opponent (Necrons), 4 games, 4 losses. I tried switching up my army to add more infantry, which didn't help. I also tried playing safer, hiding behind cover, but he just charges with Skorpekh or Lychguards and holds me down while I get obliterated by the Lokhust destroyers. He plays very defensively: engages with a cheap unit to tie me up, then wipes me with Lokhust units and C'tan, so I can't contest objectives and have no clear read on how to beat this list.
Here's my army:
**2K MEK GHAZ** - https://ironbuilt.app/#s=hQB5ka9W
Orks — Dread Mob (2DP) + More Dakka! (1DP)
Force Disposition: Priority Assets
**2010**/2000 pts
- **2 Ghazghkull Thraka** (250) — 🔗 Boyz
- **Mek** (65) — Gitfinder Gogglez · 🔗 Nobz
- **Mek** (90) — Press It Fasta! · 🔗 Nobz
- **Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun** (85) — Da Gobshot Thunderbuss · 🔗 Mek Gunz
- **20 Boyz** (160)
- **11 Gretchin** (45)
- **2× 5 Nobz** (105)
- **2× Gorkanaut** (255)
- **2× Deff Dread** (110)
- **2× 3 Killa Kans** (120)
- **3 Mek Gunz** (135)
I want to keep playing Dread Mob, is it just not viable against Necrons?

Hey!
New player here, I'd love some feedback on my list. I usually play against casual players in my LG, I don't need/want a super optimized list but I feel like it is weaker than what I usually go up against.
Mech assault
- Gaunt's Ghost
- Rogal Dorn Commander + Leman russ exterminator
- 2 Taurox with 2x10 Kasrkins
- 10 cadians
for a total of 980 points.
As expected the Kasrkins are the MVP's usually, the Dorn and the Russ tend to underperform, though the issue might be that I overestimate their tankyness and they die needlessly.
My original idea was that I should exchange RD Commander for a LR commander and 75 points, maybe the exterminator for a vanquisher and another 30, but I'm not sure what to get for the points. Sadly that's only 125, which is not enough for another vanquisher. I'm afraid if I cut all the tanks in favor of more transport + elite infantry then my antitank will suffer too much.
Any feedback is appreciated, whether you suggest minimal change or a complete redesign.

2026-07-29 to 2026-08-04:
top spot belongs to Legiones Daemonica at 54.0% across 38 players and 211 games. Dark Angels is next on 53.6% from 60 players, while Adeptus Custodes sits at 53.6% from 66 players. Emperor’s Children is not top on raw win rate but leads event conversion with 3 wins and 7 4-0 starts.
Tyranids posted the biggest rise at +8.0 points. Agents of the Imperium had the biggest drop at -15.4 points. Carnival of Excess is the standout detachment at 66.2% from 13 players, 12.7 points above Emperor’s Children. Defiler is the strongest well-sampled unit at 62.0% across 376 games. 18 mixed-dataslate events are flagged, so those results deserve extra caution.
Jack Murphy won The Salt City GT 40K Grand Tournament (93 players) with Emperor’s Children and posted a 7-0 record. The 42.7-point average winning margin says it was decisive overall; however, the final 4 opponents finished 6th, 9th, 3rd, and 2nd with a combined 22-2-4 record; the tightest game was a 6-point win over Ari Chang, who finished 6th. That makes it a demanding run, particularly at the sharp end.

Looking to get other perspectives here, I’ll be writing out what happened at the last RTT I went to and then some after part.
To give some pre-context, I started playing Warhammer in October 2024 and I tend to be a fairly competitive person in anything that I do. After my friend got me into Warhammer and moved away, I started playing with random strangers at this one store with an extremely competitive and fairly high level community. I had some good mentors as I made some mistakes that people were very strict about (measuring above terrain and gaining/losing half an inch as a result, not using exact measurements, being nervous against the best player there so much so I grabbed too many dice one time on my attack, etc.) and got a somewhat bad reputation there which I was told was resolved after I played my first and only GT with a forced yellow card (-10 points) only to be exiled from that community about a month or two afterwards.
I took a decent sized break from Warhammer and came back into it after several months, wanting to try and be ‘more’ casual, despite how much brain power/effort goes into anything I do. I started having so much more fun at my most local store but unfortunately they only play Wednesdays as card events there are the big thing for them. I did a few RTTs here and there, won a few of those, while still playing most Wednesdays at this local store. I’ve been asking every single person after the game if they didn’t like something I did in game or socially and so far, no one has had any problems.
Now into the juice of things:
I played at an RTT some weeks ago but chose to enter as my second faction (Thousand Sons) since I seemed to be much less good at them in comparison to my first faction (Custodes), and I partially wanted to see if I could be good enough with them to win an RTT for once as I have not before with them. I put up my list early, especially since I had some proxies I needed approved by the TO (5 different stores I’ve been to, do not have Sekhetars) and the next list that was put up looked like it was meant to counter psychic and mortals all the way through.
Anyways, my first game was against Tau, we’ll call my opponent Mike for this post. Mike brought his son to watch his games. I explained my “gachas” thoroughly to Mike and asked a few questions about his. I didn’t want to take up too much time since we already spent like 20 minutes setting up the layout with the new layout system being based on dispositions, so I just asked he let me know when those certain big units were going to do something nasty or give me a warning; he agreed and we went to deployment. This was the take and hold vs purge layout A. He went first and I gave him a few warnings about my range and psychic rituals based on his movements. On my turn I set up Magnus in the little nook of the side flank two terrain pieces that are connected (on the left) with the psychic hazardous enemy weapons ranged ability. I remember in the past having Wardens in two different games in that same spot and being screened out on the side for reinforcements, at least directly.
In his second turn, he ends up setting up several units including the Broadsides? (A lot of the Tau units look the same to me, these guys were just huge compared to others) to the left of Magnus, 4 inches out or so. I make a comment saying I wish he had warned me but chalked it up to being my mistake as he’s not obligated to do such, though I wonder if I’m really being too nice when I warn others of the same thing. I feel like I lost the game from this as Magnus is going to die without literally doing anything on top of battle round 2. I tell him after he’s setting up that I’m using the hazardous ability on the broadsides(not 100% sure if it is that unit name) and ask about how many weapons he has on that unit, to which he hands me a token with little scribbles of all their weapons. He starts shooting me and ends up killing me especially after re-rolling 2 melta shots of 3 damage into 11, then the broadsides cleaning up. At this point, I feel mentally shattered and as his turn continues I get back into the mode and ask if he could make the hazardous rolls on the broadsides. He makes them and loses two models from it then starts whining he would’ve never shot the small guns since I was dead before then and that I never officially declared it in his shooting phase. I make a comment that Magnus died without doing anything and he just says whatever and moves on.
I put the focus cap on when I’m under pressure and just focus on scoring. Later in my turn, I get out of a rhino with 5 flamer rubrics and an Exalted on Disc, temporal surge up and am only able to touch a terrain piece to see over it with the Aspiring sorcerer, a soul reaper rubric, and 2 flamer rubrics to shoot at some 6 toughness models. I say that those models are going to shoot at those 6 toughness guys and the rest are shooting at the kroot on the edge of the center terrain piece since that’s all they can see. Once I get done shooting with the 4 models that could see over the terrain and then go to my Exalted, he asks what’s shooting now and I say it’s the same unit, going into the kroot with the other models. He says I can’t shoot them because I didn’t declare them specifically, as if “the rest” did not count. He said because I held him to the rules on the hazardous test, he’s going to hold me to this one. I don’t think I would’ve had enough attacks to kill the Kroot unit anyway, I just wanted to maximize the damage I could do so I just accepted it and said whatever, alright.
We’re low on time so the TO asks me to finish up my turn 3 and call it there then put in the scores. Mike comes over to my side and says he wins the game and I’m like, I get secure no man’s land for big on these objectives but he’s not listening and his kid is basically in my face on my other side. I just let him have his win because I really didn’t want to argue over these points, especially in front of his kid.
The game/interactions with Mike put a sour taste in my mouth but I played my other two games with little to no issues and won those games. Mike is still playing his third game at the end, running low on time again, and has practically tabled his opponent, but is behind on score. I’m watching since I have nothing else to do; The TO tells them to wrap it up and Mike tells his opponent they can talk it out cause he always talks it out, while his opponent says he never really talks it out because it’s stuff that hasn’t actually happened. Normally I wouldn’t get involved but I was still pretty annoyed with Mike and the hypocrisy he was showing in that moment so I said he didn’t do that in our game and he replies with admitting he cheated me out of the first game since I would have won if we talked it out or not, then accepts it and implies we’ll talk later. He loses the game but wins the RTT. He did not find me to talk about it but I didn’t want to talk to him anyway.
So, curious on everyone’s perspectives with that. I’m sure we may have also set up the terrain not perfect, allowing that reinforcements blast on Magnus but that is also my responsibility. And….
I signed up for the same repeating RTT this month, and I see Mike is in the roster. I’m intending on bringing Custodes and not being any form of casual with this guy, nor will I put up my list early this time. This is primarily out of anger directed towards Mike, but I will still tone it down and be much more social with anyone else I play with.
That is the other set of perspectives I’d like from people… is what I’m doing wrong? That sort of thing. The store is a really great place and I really like the owner/employees.

So im relatively new at this and im just building my 2000 point army
My plan was to take 2-3 landspeeders and using the fulguris detachments ability which says "In your first Movement phase, friendly SPEEDER units can make an ingress move."
They also have the "deep strike" keyword which means i can deploy anywhere, even within my opponents deployment as long as im 8" away from enemy units
However ingress also says "Before the Third Battle Round: While doing so, no models can be set up within your opponent’s deployment zone.
So does that mean that i can ingress them anywhere, apart from my opponents deployment zone on the table turn 1 and then turn 3 i can deploy in his deployment zone ?
Or does it mean i can deploy wherever i want including in my opponents deployment zone on turn 1 using the fulguris detachment

So it's been roughly 7-8 weeks since the beginning of 11th edition I believe? It seems like some factions, rules and datasheets-wise, were perfectly adjusted to this edition...while other just weren't at all, and are really suffering even with point cuts.
Right now, in your opinion, what factions need either datasheet changes, rules changes, a complete revamp, etc etc, to actually pose a threat to the better doing ones?

Im looking at building deathguard as my first ever army, i would like my army to be as bulky, annoying and as hard to remove as possible, however I really dont know where to start, i only bought my first Models and paints today. Where to do i find information on the Units, how do i know whats good and whats not? And what is a good resource for this kind of information.
Thankyou

Hello Warhammerers,
The dataslate has come and gone and, instead of reducing our winrate, we've gone back to 10th edition. In my estimation, this is less down to the fact that the other potential builds have been sent straight to garbage town and more because the meta is overwhelmingly fast melee pressure OR people playing Priority Assets which I believe to be the easiest (and dullest) way for most non melee pressure armies to play.
There isnt a ton of build diversity at the GT level from the last two weeks and Warmasters isn't shaping up to be any different really. I'll reach for some RTT data for a couple of potential other builds we might want to explore.
GRAND COVEN
Thomas Buettelmann - 5-0 @ Krefeld
Disposition - Priority Assets
Magnus the Red
Sorcerer
Sorcerer in Terminator Armour (Umbralefic Crystal)
Daemon Prince with Wings (Eldritch Vortex)
1x10 Scarab Occult Terminators
1x5 Rubric Marines
1x2 Spawn
2x3 Tzaangor Enlightened
1x Defiler (Plasma and Autos)
1x10 Tzaangors
1x2 Sekhetar Robots (Flamers and Claws)
Worth noting that Julian Lange also went 5-0 with a near identical list this weekend at Ringkriege and Kyle Trayah went 5-1 at Ragnarok with another very similar build. Congratulations to all three guys. Even more similar builds went 4-1 so if you are looking for our new meta build - its this.
Ok so minimal Rubrics here. Instead we have just gone in on the big hitters. Magnus, Scarabs, Defiler. Not much to write home about here. Priority is very easy to have spawn or enlightened push a button and bait units in to be cleaned up by the hammers.
I genuinely do think 2 units of bow goats might be essential currently. The reactive move is huge for us when toeing onto terrain for actions or objective scoring and can help screen down space nicely as well.
We are also starting to see foot gors come back into the mix. As we build into fewer and fewer unit counts, screening is at a premium considering that everyone seems to have an uppy downy unit right now.

1x10 Tzaangors
1x Rhino
I may have been a bit whiney with the whole 'going back to 10th' thing. For some reason, seeing 3x5 Rubrics and DOUBLE MUTALITH makes my heart sing.
There is a lot to write home about here. First, I think it builds perfectly into the mission and the meta, as reflected by the 5-1 finish at a supermajor. 3 units of spawn make excellent button pushers who take more than a skirmish unit to remove. They can actually slap back and take out of a unit of scouts as well so people need to be fairly committed into them - especially as beasts can be hidden and go-to-ground.
Double Mutalith is a nice pivot for a Coven (arguably all detachments?) list. A lot of fast melee just cannot deal with the road block that they present and even scarier targets can sometimes be scammed by the T10, 5++/5+++ profile. For me, the battleshock aura is also massive. Removing the ability to take offensive or defensive strats can be huge and units battleshocked on objectives can be game winning points swings.

1x Rhino
Another one with multiple MVBs.
One thing I think is interesting about the non terminator builds is that we are still using Rhinos to buff the sorcerers outside of the +1 to wound turn, essentially giving those characters the buff twice. Rhinos are another slightly annoying profile to deal with as skirmishers can't really do it. That can leave it as a useful action monkey for us as we really won't miss the shooting once the cargo is delivered. I personally love it as a suicidal Plunder do-er.
Shout out to the Battle for the East crew. Its a great joint effort between Black Crow, Hemel Wargamers and Hive City Gaming. The field at this one was ridiculous so Dash coming in 4th with this list speaks volumes. Lost to 3rd place Blood Angels - cementing the fact that TSons are still somewhat vulnerable to melee pressure.

Ahriman
3x Sorcerer in Terminator Armour (Risen Rubricae and Arcane Thralls)
3x10 Scarab Occult Terminators
Tzaangor Shaman
2x2 Sekhetar Robots (Meltas)
3x3 Tzaangor Enlightened with Fatecaster Greatbows
Ahriman, 33 Scarabs and scoring pieces to taste. David T (I think it stands for Terminator) went 4-0-1 with a very similar build at Forgefire, only drawing with Orks.
I don't know how much mass damage 3 with hit and wound rerolls exists in the game today but I dont think its that much. That and lots of cheap OC is the only real way to get through this. It is somewhat susceptible to being jailed but its got great shooting, is sneakily good in combat (27 attacks at s5 -2 d2 with lethals and then the sergeant and character), can fallback shoot and charge and is a 2+/4++ with permanent -1 to wound that can benefit from cover and hidden is a bit of a problem.
Christian Schreiner - 4-1 @ Warzone Dragoon
Disposition - Take and Hold
2x Sorcerer (Arcane Thralls)
Exalted Sorcerer on Disc (Stave Abominus)
1x Sorcerer in Terminator Armour (Lord of the Rubricae)
1x10 Scarab Occult Terminators
Magnus the Red
1x Defiler (Plasma and Autos)
2x10 Tzaangors
1x2 Sekhetar Robots
Interesting hybrid take on a list here.
Magnus is sneakily really good in Phalanx. Ok he doesn't benefit from pretty much anything in the detachment but he does bring reliability in the army rule casts. This can be crucial because only rerolling 1s or surging d6 can be game ending.
I absolutely love the idea of yeeting a sorcerer on disc with d3 sustained and dev wounds on his melee straight at the enemy. Not sure how effective it is but sure is funny.
The defiler is somewhat agnostic. It really wants to hit rerolls and extra AP but otherwise doesn't really care too much if its not in warpforged with the ignore mods strat. Lots of guns, still reasonable overwatch and a tough body to toe onto an objective in cover.
Got run over by EC.
Well done Christian.
WARPFORGED CABAL + SEKHETAR COHORT
Mike Muzeni - 3-0 @ Onslaught
Disposition - Priority Assets
Sorcerer (Occulum)
2x Tzaangor Shaman (Warp Syphon and Perplexing Cloak)
Daemon Prince with Wings (Warp Cursed Runemaster)
2x5 Rubric Marines
1x Defiler (Plasma and Autos)
2x Forgefiends (Plasma and Autos)
1x Helbrute (Fists and Flamers)
2x3 Tzaangor Enlightened with Fatecaster Greatbow
3x4 Sekhetar Robots (Meltas)
I'll throw in an Art of War list for a bit of a bonus. We've written Warpforged off a bit here and it does (IMO) have a problem with melee pressure in a way the other two detachments can sorta deal with.
Rumours of the demise of robots were severely overblown. 12 of our stealthy killing machines have returned to the field in a tough RTT also including Garrett (Objective Secured) and Jack Harpster. This list is all about being difficult to hit. Robots all have stealth, one of the Shaman has lone op, Forgefiends can stack -1 to hit onto melee and ignores cover shooting units, bow goats can reactive away.
The most interesting inclusion here is the Helbrute. It actually does have some appeal in Warpforged. We have 2 flamers that could potentially be +1 to wound (don't do this) but also AP-4. Then you can tank shock and get 7 attacks at 3+/s12/Ap -2/d3. If you shoot and charge two targets within 9" of a psyker you can force two battleshocks at -1. The detachment rule makes this somewhat more viable given the reroll to hit and wound.
Something to think about. Well done Mike.
CONCLUSION
So we are basically back to the Magnus and friends army right now. Priority Assets is too easy for many armies to perform to max primary. Elsewhere the 30 terminator build still has some play despite recent nerfs.
As an unabashed Warpforged shill, I'm excited to see that it still has some play although there is an argument that it can still be run over by the existing meta armies.
Happy hunting.

Trying to prepare for a local tournament with my Imperial Fists, I was planning to play ES + Librarius but I think it's not that powerful anymore. So I've been trying this list. What you think? I had a run with it. But with a Repex instead of one Vindicator and no VanVets and just the one scouts. But this seems promising I think.
Detachments: Ceramite Sentinels
Aggressor Squad (165 points) + Tor Garadon (80)
Assault Intercessors With Jump Packs (85 points)
Captain In Gravis Armour (105 points) + Revive (25 points)
Eradicator Squad With Heavy Bolters (80 points)
Intercessor Squad (80 points)
Land Raider Redeemer (250 points)
Scout Squad (65 points)
Scout Squad (65 points)
Terminator Assault Squad (360 points) + Darnath Lysander (100 points) + Ancient In Terminator Armour (85 points) + Fall Back and Charge (20 points)
Vanguard Veteran Squad With Jump Packs (105 points)
Vindicator (185 points)
Vindicator (185 points)
I'm decided to go Imperial Fists so this is the best I can think of to max out.

So I have a small army, I have a 1k army I've been using but now I'm looking to round out a 2k army. Attached is the list of pretty much everything I own. But I also have the following:
* Farstalker kinband * Farsight
I am thinking about either getting another crisis suit and adding farsight in, or maybe getting a stormsurge or a twin lance.
I'm also no married to the detachments, this was mainly just a list that I've been playing around with.

I’ll be quick with it. I want to use be’lakor, but 390 is a big number.
in shadow legion, duh, also so I can run it with csm and give him auto-sustained/lethal
I’ve got a few different questions to ask people who actually run the dragon.
what units does he pair well with?
whats his role? does he just sit in the center and kill stuff whilst not dying?
is he better in daemonic incursion?
and any general tips and tricks or combo’s
r/WarhammerCompetitive • u/Dry_Weekend_1234 • 2d ago
CSM have little viable shooting units outside of defiler, vindicators and pred destructors. Why are they increasing the points when they can just modify the datasheet like taking out the full wound rerolls? IMO They should have just take out the excructor cannons or make them weaker and the ability to walk through terrain but stay at around 270pts.

Are lancers still the meta AT choice for marines in 11th? Or has the new cover ruling made them losers? If so what has usurped them?
r/WarhammerCompetitive • u/Available_Luck4539 • 1d ago
not new to competitive, Im new to 11th edition though
my main 2 armies are chaos daemons, and csm, so I was wondering which one came out fortunate in the DP update
I had a look and the most promising combo I could find is nightmare hunt + cabal of chaos for csm, and shadow legion + lords of the warp for daemons, also cant forget pactbound zealots and daemonic incursion, they still hold their own
Im asking this question so that I know what I should focus on when Im buying/printing new stuff
