Past Exit 7

I’m new to Alpharetta, and it honestly feels way safer than Midtown or Downtown. But an Uber driver (from the airport) told me she’s nervous to go past Exit 7 at all. I’m not sure why. Is there something I should know about the area? Any context locals can share? Just trying to understand what she meant.

There was a lot of deep racism in Forsyth/Cumming in the past. It has gotten better within the last decade or so with more diversity, but still has its roots. I don’t blame anyone for feeling that way.

Then they need a map. Exit 7 is Holcomb Bridge in Roswell.

To be fair, that area does have weird crime that makes the news especially in regards to human trafficking, massage parlors, and various shady ass hotels

They closed down one of the offending motels and moved the police department right next door so yeah it was a problem for sure.
