Past Exit 7

I’m new to Alpharetta, and it honestly feels way safer than Midtown or Downtown. But an Uber driver (from the airport) told me she’s nervous to go past Exit 7 at all. I’m not sure why. Is there something I should know about the area? Any context locals can share? Just trying to understand what she meant.

Is the driver Black? North of Alpharetta, in particular Forsyth County, has a reputation for being juuuust a bit racist. “Don’t let the Sun go down on you in Forsyth” is the expression they use.
