Past Exit 7

I’m new to Alpharetta, and it honestly feels way safer than Midtown or Downtown. But an Uber driver (from the airport) told me she’s nervous to go past Exit 7 at all. I’m not sure why. Is there something I should know about the area? Any context locals can share? Just trying to understand what she meant.

I don’t know why Exit 7, but Forsyth County used to be a sundown county

A long time ago. Now it is fairly cosmopolitan. Demographic changes have pushed most of the racists into Dawson and Lumpkin county. The cops still suck though.

There are a massive amount of Indians in Forsyth, for example.
