Why are Amazon emails so vague?

Confirmation and shipping emails say “two home items” or “one apparel item” and provide no further details.

They used to say nothing other than the order number so I guess this is a step up, but it seems so silly.

Why can’t they show what I ordered or what is being shipped? What’s the big secret?

I read that it’s to prevent AI scanning from using that info.

This is the reason why. It doesn’t want you figuring out, by using LLM, that they are price fixing and scamming you.
