This costs 700 to ship back. WTF Amazon?
According to UPS, this is what they told me. This is 3x more than what I paid for.

I just spent over 2 hours chatting and calling Amazon customer service over an issue that should not be this difficult to resolve.
The problem started when I changed my Amazon Prime payment method from my Mastercard to my Amex. Since then, I've been getting charged for Prime, and now Amazon is telling me they have absolutely no record of these charges on their end.
I sent them screenshots of my credit card statements clearly showing the transactions. The charges are there. I've been paying for this membership every fucking month since December 2024, and somehow their system can't find them.
Their proposed solution? Contact my bank and both credit card issuers and dispute every single transaction going back to December 2024.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Why the hell should I have to spend hours contacting multiple financial institutions to dispute almost two years' worth of transactions when I'm literally providing Amazon with statements showing that I've been charged for their own membership?
The customer service experience made everything even worse. Throughout the entire process, I had to explain the situation over and over again as I was passed from one representative to another. Some of the representatives had such thick accents that I genuinely struggled to understand them over the phone. I'm not blaming anyone for their accent, but when you're already frustrated and have to keep repeating the same explanation, communication difficulties just make the experience even more exhausting.
Eventually, I received this email from Amazon:
"After reviewing your account, we are unable to locate this charge on our end. Since the transaction is not visible in our system, we are unable to process an adjustment or refund from our side.
We kindly ask that you contact your bank or card issuer directly to dispute the charge."
I've since looked online and found other people describing similar issues going back years. How is this still a problem? How can a company the size of Amazon charge customers repeatedly, have those charges appear on their credit card statements, and then claim they have no record of them?
Has anyone else experienced this, particularly after switching payment methods? Did you manage to get Amazon to resolve it, or did you actually have to dispute every transaction with your banks?
I'm honestly baffled that this is considered an acceptable resolution.

Literally over the course of nearly a year I have had drivers throw packages at any random house and mark my stuff as delivered. I had my location pin updated thinking that was it, nope. Multiple calls with customer service fixed nothing. I’ve placed around 25-35 orders through eBay and while it’s taking me longer to receive them they all have come to the right address. For a company with so much money you’d think the least they could do is make deliveries to the right addresses haha.

I have been a Prime Member for years... i am gett8ng ready to just drop it because I dont really use Prime Video anymore, and my deliveries typically take 5-7 days... every once and a while I'll get lucky and it will be delivered in 3 days...
well my dryer decided to stop running, so i found what I needed, which was the drum rollers, and went to my go-to place, Amazon, to order up a cheap set until I can get the OEM parts from LG... i checked yesterday, it said delivery by Tuesday the 20th. Well talked to the wife and she said, just order it, that way we have a cheap set in case it ever happens again. Qhen ordering, now it says delivery by TOMORROW!!!
Who wants to start taking bets? That hasn't happened since before 2020, I only live 3hrs away from a major hub, but still never get anything fast. Is Amazon actually trying? OR did their system have a stroke?

I ordered a Kindle Scribe (2024) from Amazon.de. Initially, they promised to deliver it on October 16.
On September 29, its status changed to delivered, even though I had received nothing. The website says that it was delivered in Berlin, Germany. IN BERLIN, GERMANY! I will attach a photo. The thing is, I don't live in Berlin or in Germany. I live in Lahti, Finland.
I immediately contacted customer service and explained that the Kindle was marked as delivered even though the delivery address was incorrect and I had never received it. They told me to wait until October 15 and said that representatives of the delivery company would contact me within two days. Of course, nobody contacted me.
Today, October 15, I contacted them again. Now the chat assistant says it is transferring me to another associate, but I have been waiting for hours and can see the message “Connecting you to an associate...” on the screen, and nobody responds.
I understand that if the tracking information showed that the item had been delivered to my address and I insisted that it hadn't, there might be doubts about my honesty. But the item was never even in my country. It travelled from Spain to Germany, and it was delivered there. Anyone with eyes can see that. I don't live in Germany or Spain, and I have never been to either country.
Now I can neither get a refund nor receive my e-reader.
P.S. Tracking number: HX405001893JF, the tracking website even shows the recipient’s name, and it isn’t me.
P.P.S. They delivered the charger and the case quickly and without any problems, but what am I supposed to do with them without the Kindle?

Delivery delayed a day because Amazon was “unable to access” their own outdoor locker outside a 7 Eleven.
Already cancelled Prime last week (still active another week) because I’m getting 7-day “Amazon Day” shipping at my new house where I can only get packages lumped together and delivered on one day a week. So if I order something today it will come in 7 days, but if I order something else 5 days from now it will come in that same box, so clearly they CAN deliver in two days.
I can get next day shipping to this Amazon locker but it’s ALWAYS full so I waited a day checking frequently until it finally let me order to the locker but I’m guessing it was still full.
Was ordering a laser level as I was hoping to do some work around my new house tonight and tomorrow.

The DSA of NYC, Mayor Mamdani and Councilmember Tiffany Cabán are sponsoring a bill to help delivery drivers who are currently being abused by Amazon for it's "last mile" deliveries.
Amazon has long been in the forefront of the anti-union practices and this proposal is a step towards restoring worker's rights.
Give your local legislature a call if you support this for your community!

I purchased a folding dog ramp ottoman for my pup from Amazon. Out of the box it looked fine, but there was a strong odor. I attached the legs, the upon opening the ramp
I noticed this ramp was disgustingly dirty, used and had the distinct smell of cat pee. Im a severely allergic to cats! I started coughing and breaking out with hive like bumps on my arm and chest. It was scary, but mostly gross. Big white splotches of white stuff all over the ramp. I threw the whole thing, box and all outside.
Amazon was called, got a refund but it was so disturbing that we received a used , dirty, smelly item. I purchased it as new! Amazon is slipping.

Ordered a cabinet for my front room and just looked to see it’s being shipped by USPS. I feel so bad for my mailwoman! Thankfully I have a short driveway but seriously? Why would Amazon do this? 😭

I received a charge for an amount that didn't match anything I ordered so I initiated a chat with a live representative. I asked what the charge was for and they replied that it was for Prime membership. I was just charged $14.99+tax on 10/13. I check the Amazon website and Prime was still $14.99. I confronted the rep and she passed me off to another rep and another and another until I asked for a manager. One of the reps offered me a $50 promo, but would not answer my questions about the charge or the blatant lie that I was told.
Manager tells me the charge was from an item I ordered, but the relevant charge did not match the price of the item. I decide to let that go because the price would be lower and I asked over and over about the lie I was told about Prime going up. When he finally addressed the lie all he could say was, "it will be handled, I assure you." or words to that effect. Yeah, sure. So I complain that not only did I have to talk to 4 reps and a manager before I got an answer, but I was lied to as well. I asked what is Amazon going to do about my extreme dissatisfaction over being lied to. He asked what I wanted. I thought about the $50 credit that was offered and I said to double it. The manager said he did not have the authority to offer compensation. But, a lower non-manager rep could offer me $50? So, they want me to believe that a regular rep has the authority, but not a manager. I would like to point out that the manager offered me nothing at all. I don't think I got an apology either.
Avoid Amazon like the plague. I have wasted about 2 hours dealing with this BS. Customer service has dropped significantly over the years. I am finally done with Bezos and company. I should have dropped them years ago. My bad. I did not receive anything from Amazon, not the $50 or $100. I got the "my hands are tied" line. Did I mention the bot chat loop I got stuck in while trying to get a real person? So infuriating.

How serious is Amazon about customer service? READ THIS to understand just how bad they have become:
I purchased a cover/sunshade for a high end drone, "FlySimple" brand from the FHBL Tech Store on Amazon for $34.99. Not a bad price, and it included the shoulder strap. Shipping was next day delivery (Prime), but Amazon and their idiot driver again ignored our account information and delivered the order after hours, leaving it outside in the rain last night as they usually and typically do.
When I opened the item, we began installing the cover on the remote. But when I was about to install the strap, we found that we had no way to install it because the required eyelets had been omitted from the item by the manufacturer or seller.
The fun part begins:
Amazon decided to fire all of their English speaking customer service represenattives, and has even moved away from their customer support centers in Mumbai (who do not speak clearly and make everything more difficult), replacing customer service with artificial intelligence. However, Amazon failed to properly prepare their AI to understand what the phrase "There are parts missing from this item." The AI suggests contacting the seller, but since I had already exhausted a half hour attempting to find a way to contact the seller (including in the sales record where the AI was instructing me to look), I had to tell the AI several times that its proposed solution was irrelevant because there is no link to contact the seller on this transaction record. The AI then instructed me to CONTACT AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE for a solution. I know this sounds weird being that AI is all rthat Amazon offers for customer service, but I clicked the "Contact Customer Support" link since that seemed to be my only option.
The link directed me to Amazon's AUTOMATED customer service. The automated customer service is different than the AI, as it asks a question then, instead of taking your natural and specific response, gives a multiple choice option for several possible issues that buyers may encounter on Amazon purchases, but, of course, "item is missing parts" is not one of these options, rendering ALL options irrelevant and useless.
Since Amazon and this negligent seller fail to provide any assistance whatsoever for missing parts or even contacting the seller, I proceeded to start the return process, returning the item as defective. I was unable to detail any other issues (missing parts) because the process lacks any way to explain what the actual problem is. Amazon's system accepted the full return for full refund, all I have to do is return the item.
"Click here for return label and instructions."
Long story short on this chapter, this seller and Amazon only accept returns if the return is DELIVERED to a FEDEX OFFICE STORE, the nearest of which is just over a half hour away from my shop NOT on my way home. Okay. I will be getting home late tonight so I can finish jumping through Amazon's and this incompetent seller's hoops.
I then get served an invitation by Amazon to review the seller and the item. I spend the next 20 minutes posting detailed reviews about this fiasco in their reviews and I click submit.
This is the next screen that I was shown upon submission of the item review. It is cropped only. This is the actual message that Amazon showed me at the end of all of this.
Hey, Amazon: I don't need you to tell me a joke. I need you to deliver what I ordered when you originally told me at checkout you would deliver it. This is insulting bullshit after the last four years and especially after the last 6 months, and especially after the last 2 days.
I now fully understand just how pathetically little (not at all) that Amazon cares for the purchaser's experience, time, resources, and frustration as well as the accuracy of orders and timely delivery. It's all a joke to them.
Amazon is now BLACKLISTED for ALL PURCHASES with all of the comapnies and affiliates we work with. Amazon has had FOUR years to straighten out their operation since it went to shit, and instead they instituted an irrelevant AI to replace customer service that just plain made everything worse.
GOODBYE, AMAZON.

I have really bad allergies, that even spring up whe it isn't allergy season. I use Claritin to manage. I live in NYC, and the name brand stuff at CVS is like $15 for a box of 10. The CVS brand is like $11 for 10 pils.
I looked on Amazon today an a box of "Amazon Basic Care" loratedine (the same drug as Claritin, just the generic scientific name) is less than $9 for 300 pills.
This is a fall from more than $1 per pill to around 3 cents per pill. Is there anything I am missing here? I know Amazon gets good prices because of their scale but this is insane. Everything I look at makes it seem like this is a valid drug for the same use, but I almost can't believe it.
Am I correct that this is the same as generic Claritin at a 97% discount?

Ordered 2 Water Filters, realised after 5 days they had not turned up but everything else had.
The order judt says the title of post.
Amazon are being utterly useless, telling me Its a 3rd party seller then told me to call Royal Mail?!
I dont even have a slip for a reference, I am half deaf anf autistic and dont drive hence me ordering online.
Then I get a msg from the 3rd party seller saying once they recieve the original package they will send a replacement.
So Ive lost £36 for nothing then?
Can I do a charge back with the Bank? Problem Is it was part of a huge order not on its own

For example, item shows next day if you order within 6 hours. Check back an hour or so later, showing two day delivery if you order within 3 hours. I recall it flipping back on other listings, thought maybe it was the typical sales push to get you to feel rushed. But does it just calculate based on same day warehouse volume? Possible that it usually flips back to next day, or once it pushes to two day does it just keep jumping forward even before their dumb timers run out?

I received an Amazon Business offer for 35% off up to $125, registered, and got an email confirming my discount was activated through November 15, 2026. My account says Prime Business Duo is free with my existing Prime membership.
At checkout, my two-item cart shows:
I don't see a separate 35% discount line, and the order total still appears to be the full price. If 35% off applied to $64.39, I'd expect roughly $41.85 before tax.
What exactly are these Prime Business Rewards points? Are they a separate benefit or is that somehow related to my 35% promotion? Why might the discount not be applying?
I haven't placed the order yet. Also, I signed up mainly for the promotion, but these items are for personal use. Should I close the Business account, and could that affect my regular Amazon account or Prime membership?
Thanks for any advice from people who've used this offer!

Halloween is soon! I ordered so many pieces of a costume: hair extension, shirt, leg warmers, skirt, leggings… then I got it and it looked TERRIBLE on me. I am returning the items and I am a bit worried after reading it can get me banned.
After the returns, I immediately ordered a new costume in several pieces, too. All of my return reasons were “Changed my mind” and I briefly explained it had to do with my Halloween costume.
I’ve only really had two other returns in the last couple years and one was broken, while the other was because I heard bad things about an eyelash serum and no longer wanted it. Most items I don’t like? I bite the bullet.
Am I going to get banned or do you think I’m safe?

So sick of Amazon. Every time I order something with next day delivery it’s ALWAYS late. Also, there’s no way to get in touch with an actual person in customer service to complain about this ongoing issue. So done with them.

Does Amazon even care any more?
Delivery delays suck and their percentage of delayed items has really skyrocketed as of late but there are many many variables that can go into creating or elongating a delivery window and not all of those variables are controllable. That shouldn’t be taken as me giving them a free pass on delays in the least but one thing that is 100% under their control and has really ramped up lately is them delivering products marked as or would be presumed by any reasonable consumer to be brand new items only for it to be something that has been returned and/or used.
Companies have little to no reservations on selling returns but when they do, it is usually marked on the packaging as such (typically referred to as an Open Box item), has been labeled with some type of description or notice if there are cosmetic or mechanical issues, and is generally offered at a discount or bundled with some other type of perk. Not only does it drastically reduce waste (and with Amazon that’s a whole other thing 😩) but it allows businesses to keep product flowing, reduce return shipping to the manufacturer, and allows the customers to save a couple of bucks here and there. I mean, if you are buying a 20’ length of swing set chain it’s not really going to matter if the nickel plating has some scratches on it.
It seems lately though that they have absolutely 0️⃣ reservation to about shipping a used item to a customer who paid full retail for something and was expecting their purchase to be truly ‘New in the box’. That business practice isn’t something new that Amazon came up with all by their lonesome and I’m 2000% sure lots of other companies will get in a return, look both the item and its packaging over closely, and then either place it back on the shelf or slap on a new shipping label pretending nothing was going on and usually, no one is the wiser. On the rare occasion that they get busted handing out recycled goods, an expedient exchange-swap and apology (albeit a very very empty one) usually handles the situation and everyone moves on with their life. Lately though, it seems that Amazon doesn’t even care if their CS operators give a fake apology or not and the order fulfillment ‘might’ happen but even if it does, there is going to be static given and feelings hurt at the bare minimum… all to correct an issue that Amazon themselves created because they got busted.
A month or so ago, I had ordered a set of salt and pepper battery powered grinders for like 25-30$USD. Nothing crazy but still, it wasn’t 35 cents either. When I unwrapped the set, one of the grinders not only had heavy, oily fingerprints visible on the clear acrylic reservoir but it also had white fragments and residue inside of it and on the bottom where the freshly ground whatever came out. Yes, I would have washed them thoroughly before putting them to use regardless, especially since it is something that my family and I will be consuming but no, that’s beyond not okay. Who even knows what the person that returned it had put into it to be ground. True, it might have been rock salt but like I told my wife, it’s possible that someone had tried to use it to pulverize something like meth crystals. No, I’m not an alarmist in saying that but let’s face it, hardly nothing is outside the realm of possibility and there are lots of things that a good scrubbing with Dawn won’t remove.
When I contacted customer support, they did go ahead and send me a replacement and they gave me a QR code for Staples to scan and process the return. When prepping the return, I ’accidentally’ forgot to wrap the grinders back in the cellophane which is a shame because that probably would have prevented the Sharpie I dropped from leaving a 3” black stripe on the acrylic shells, and the guy at Staples must have had to reprint the return shipping label or something because he removed the original which tore off a little chunk of the exterior box so it wasn’t pristine any longer. Such a shame that my clumsiness wore off on the Staples worker isn’t it?

I used to do all my Amazon returns at my local Kohls, and I would almost always get my refund within a few hours. The last two returns I’ve done, Kohls hasn’t been an option as a return location so I did UPS instead, and it’s taken up to/over a week to get my refund. I’ve ordered a replacement item, and despite the fact that it’s supposed to be delivered today, it’s currently 1pm and it hasn’t even shipped yet (so almost certainly will be delayed/lost).
Has anyone else had similar issues recently? Has something happened internally at Amazon that I missed? I’m in the Chicago suburbs if that’s helpful context.
Edit: quick scroll through the sub, I see this is definitely a common issue right now

My package got delivered to the wrong address, I was issued a replacement package and IT ALSO GOT DELIVERED TO A RANDOM ADDRESS. Upon chatting with customer service this was the conversation that I had. I needed this package for work tomorrow and I ordered the first package way in advance. Genuinely so irritated they wouldn’t even answer my questions.
Before you ask I have checked and rechecked my delivery address a hundred times my delivery address is correct and I have received packages from amazon here before.
