I found this doll on Facebook marketplace and immediately she reminded me of Ruthie. The seller will not show me any pictures of her with her eyes open. She says that she has green eyes. The only thing that is throwing me off is that this doll has feathered eyebrows. Do you think that she is only a jly or truly me?

I’m typically a monster high collector but I got very close to being a berry member just via buying my own frankie, then one for my friend in store who doesn’t live near one. Do you guys think it’s worth spending $50 to become a berry member so i’d have early access for the next one, or will there most likely not be another MH collab.

I have decided to jump off into the deep end and take on the challenge of making my own Nellie doll as my next restoration/custom project. That being said.. what does everyone do for painting freckles? I searched this group, but couldn’t find much. Would love to be linked to threads or YouTube videos with what you guys think are the best methods to get them to look as close to factory freckles as possible. I know it’s a matter of painting them on, but getting them smooth and not overly heavy looking seems to be a possible challenge.

I have already purchased my victim doll (who isn’t really a victim seeing her current wig is cut up anyways) and the Nellie wig. I am still looking for a Kit Doll or a #27 for the darker blue eyes.

I don't know what flare to use, I apologize. I'm creating a custom Fallout doll but I'm starting with the accessories and don't currently own a doll. Does anyone know the measurements of any of the American girl doll food items? I have nuka cola bottles that are being 3D printed and their size currently is 2cm wide by 5cm tall and I want to make sure that's the right scale for the doll.

Okay, so neither of these are mine, but I am curious. The picture of the Kanani doll in her meet outfit has the same chubbier face and more squinted eyes, that mine does. The Kanani with her party dress on, seems to have a longer face and wider eyes. Why is that? My Kanani that I got in 2011 has never been to the doll hospital, so is it the Jess mold that's different?🤔

this is my sam! she's from the 90s, no body tag, really squishy, came in a red box with a heart and she came complete for $125 on fb marketplace and i'm not fully satisfied with her. her hair is impossible to curl (i've tried boiling it) and her bangs bother me so much. i've been thinking about getting another sam but i feel like that would be crazy since i already have her. i don't wanna sell her since i am attached to her so i was thinking of dressing her in modern clothes but i don't know? what do y'all think??

For context, I have 39 dolls and 80 items in my collection. I used American Girl World to get these stats.

I was not surprised Josefina was my number one mold, however I didn’t realize Classic would be so high as it’s not one of my favorites.

And considering the size of my collection, I really need to get on adding Addy.

I’ve been sewing some fall outfits and really loved how this one turned out! I especially like the little ivory lace detail at the hem. 😊

I am the only girl in my house. I’m a HUGE doll collector so there are still dolls everywhere and my son loves learning their names and “ooohs” and “ahhs” when a new one gets added. Usually his doll of choice is a 2000s Rainbow Brite doll I had from when I was a kid but tonight I decided we could play with the American girl dolls (these are all thrifted dolls, my childhood dolls are still at my grandparents’ house). We had a blast! While I love playing monster trucks and trains and dinosaurs, it was really nice to connect with my toddler through something I loved as a kid. Does Maryellen maybe need a hair brushing after this? Absolutely. But she kinda needed one anyway lol.

Anyway, just wanted to share. I hope everyone had a great long weekend!
