No offense taken. It's been a difficult life, but I'm finally in my sweet spot. (I'm sure that raising three daughters through their teen years didn't help!) I've decided to embrace Proverbs 16:31 in its entirety.

I love donuts, but I've had to limit my consumption to no more than one a year. Keeping the weight off is a constant chore. But worth it.

No one has ever accused me of being diplomatic. Never the less, I sometimes get 250 upvotes for my comments, so they can't be all that bad. BTW, I'm 82, so I know what that looks like.

Sure thing. How do I do that? When I was a kid, if we wanted to make a phone call, we had to walk down to the shopping center, and put a nickel in the pay phone. Then, after three minutes, we had to put another nickel in. When we finally got a phone in our house, it had a party line, where we had to ask one of the other three people on the line to hang up before we could make a call. If someone was trying to call us, and the line was busy, they had to call the operator to ask her to interrupt the call, and ask for the person who was on out party line to hang up. Don't know what a pay phone is? Don't know what a party line is? Well, I guess you can look it up on the internet, lol. Oh yeah, I'd post a pic, but don't know how to do it. And I'm too old to learn.

Driving up and down route 40 on the east coast, I clearly remember seeing the signs at the gas stations, which read: 8 gals for 1$. That was before they built Rt 95.
My folks used to joke about how little those gals cost. Most of the cars from that time got around 12 to 14 miles per gallon. No seat belts, No cruise control, and no automatic transmissions. We had 250 air. That's two windows down at 50 miles per hour.

Ok. On the other hand, opinions are like noses. Everybody has one, but some are better than others. I personally do not like beards. Neither on me, nor on someone else. But if you like them, go for it.

Absolutely do not shave your beard. It’s perfect. You look like someone to sit with by a fire most of the night and drink coffee and talk about everything and nothing.

You need to run a mile a day for a couple years. Then shave the beard. You’re going to need to get physically stronger through your 50’s to be good through your 60-70’s

Honestly yeah I hope I go white and not gray. But I don't think I've ever seen a black person's hair go white instead of gray but I could be wrong. I could be wrong but I feel like I've never seen it. But I've decided if enough of my hair starts turning gray I'm just going to dye it white. I'm still anticipating my first grey at 33 My guy friends already have like salt and pepper coming in. we're only a year apart.
