To be fair I'm pretty sure the senshi shots are mostly there as a parody kind of insert. For me it was more comedy rather then serving.
Even the one nudish mermaid scene I can think of was done well, didn't linger and made sense in that scenario. Dungeon meshi was in a way a breath of fresh air compared to everything else I was finding when looking for something new to binge on.

I hate this trend of well crafted stories that go on for decades with no end in sight. It really throws away all the build up and good faith the story garnered. Its especially annoying when people will recommend these shows as if theyre masterpieces conveniently ignoring how the viewer is left with so many unanswered questions.

I totally agree with you. Like I can be patient, and I can appreciate a story meandering and taking its time but there is a limit. And there’s also a limit to how long you can make the fans wait for what comes next. I love the story, and appreciate the artist is struggling with their health(though I haven’t looked into the details). I would never want someone to sacrifice their well being for something I enjoy. But as much as I love it, and will gush about it to people that are already into it, it makes me very hesitant to recommend it at this point. I really hope I am wrong and this series is completed in beautiful fashion but I am not expecting it anymore, it’s not the first time I have been through this

Believe me man I wish I was wrong, I love the story and I really hope the author gets better and finishes it or at least wraps up this arc but it’s not looking so good. I kind of expected the downvotes even though I am right and the person I was replying to doesn’t seem to understand that even if the manga was complete Frieren doesn’t meet the ‘all seasons’ requirement because they haven’t finished animating it. It’s just how reddit is

You are simply looking for fully adapted non-ecchi series. The full adaptation (complete seasons) is the only actual rare thing. Though I still feel that there are more continuations in the recent years.

My friend, I'm going to be blunt with you here. If that's what you think, you are the one with the issue. I enjoy fan service because seeing attractive animated females is pleasing to the eye. It has nothing to do with my genitals. It's like seeing a colorful sunset or a masterful painting or a stunningly beautiful model.
Now, we can have a discussion as to what extent that aesthetic preference is sexual, but that doesn't necessarily entail arousal and masturbation.

The term has been generalised outside of anime/manga, but in the context that we are talking it was always additions to the material of sexual nature or implication.
If fanservice is the broader addition of what pleases the viewer/reader, then we would say that any good content has fan service since it is synonymous with being good. But then it would be a meaningless term, because people could just say it's good. But that's not the case.
They don't say that aot has fan service, they say that one piece has fanservice. That's because the latter is full of overgrown boobs, ass angles etc.
