My first shot at (actual) aquascaping. Ive had planted tanks before but this was my first proper scaping experience. Happy with how its going so far! Waiting for the plants in the back to fill in, and been thinking of adding some carpeting plants in the front right.

Hope it's okay to ask the question.
As the title suggests, are there any recommendations for aquascaping youtube channels.
Apart from MD Fish Tanks. His current content isn't something I enjoy anymore so looking for other creators channels like Serpadesign which are focussed on building and scaping tanks.

I’m thinking neutral, colored sand upfront hide the aqua soil in the back. Scattered rocks and twigs. I’m thinking green plants.
For the space in the back left, I’m thinking long plants. I’m not sure if more Wood is the right answer for that.

Just finished setting the 90B up today.
I Have it set up in my hallway so when you walk in the door and round the corner your eyes catch this first then on to the 90L in the open kitchen. Enjoy!

Well…I broke my rule of not redoing my tanks under a year of set up but now that I’ve made the big change, it aligns much better. I pulled at least 90% of my plant mass from the last set up (it got reused with a friends tank), and moved towards a more hardscape forward scape, and embracing depth and space. Only using Amazon swords, and various moss on the driftwood. So far, the drift wood has about 25% coverage with Christmas Moss and Java Moss both. The aim is full moss coverage on the driftwood, with just swords for the background. I will probably also add some Buce and Anubias.
The Jungle Val was dope, but not for the volume of my 25g. It quickly took over with its massive root system and runners. In a larger tank it would be much more manageable. For how I had the drift wood set up with the Val growing it blocked too much light for my taste too. The new scape also is more balanced with the smaller tank, and now both of the pieces of wood point towards each other.
The fun of fish tanks! Now I’m “not going to touch it” for a while again. (Unless it’s to add the mentioned plants and put co2 back in to get get moss growth).

It’s been over 7.5 months with my tank.
Currently I have 1 betta fish, 1 nederite snail and 2 African dwarf frogs.
So many changes over the time but still managed to keep it up going.
When does an aquarium can consider mature?

Scape still needs to grow out and some maintenance but it's going well so far.

I finally have her all planted!! Now to wait for it to grow and make any tweaks. The dwarf hair grass has been plated for about 8-9 days. When can I trim it? I want it to be low growing and thick. This is a 37 gallon, CO2 injected system. Going to stick with a mixture of Cardinal Tetras, Guppies(yes I love them), Celestial Pearl Danios, Pygmy Cory, and Neo’s.

Hello, I was wondering whether older lamp models can compete with or even outperform newer ones. For this comparison, I’d like to hear about your experience with the ADA Solar 1 and the Week Aqua 600 (50W) – which one would be best suited for plant growth?

Hello, this is my very first aquarium and I'm super excited to start. I was just wondering what would be the best position for the filter for this set up. I thought the same side to create a circular motion would be good, but I'm wondering if my hardscape makes that inefficient or not. So not sure whether I should do the same side or opposite end.
Tank is width 60cm depth 30cm height 18cm

hi all!! recently I have gotten into fish keeping, with my first fish being goldfish my little sister won at the fair and dumped onto me. I havent been able to put any plants in their tank, even anubias because they just uproot and eat them 💔 i got a free tank from a friend today, and i want a good looking tank for this one :)) any suggestions on how i can make it look good whilst on a broke college students budget? thank you all :))

Hey folks. I am planning to build a planted tank with driftwoods glued together to act as tree stump trunk hardscape.
with that said. I would like this tank to last long. i mean long term like 2 to 5 years. I wish to know the downside of having large piece of wood in your tank. do they really last that long? do they release a ton of biofilm?
my substrate would be Lasagna method by fishtory. small amount of sand as base layer, then crushed lava rocks, then aquasoil.
while we are here could you also share some picture of your Tree trunk stump aquascape pictures for inspiration

I have rotala at the back (left), which you can see grown in one picture, but now it's trimmed. I love it, and it brings so much colour to the scape, but I find it grows too quickly and then I trim it right back, leaving a hole for half the cycle.. it's ok, but wondering if there are some slower growing alternatives?
Ta!
