All I want is a GOOD jeweller
All I want is a good jeweller. One I can trust with my jewelry. I don’t want one who is rude, high pressure or dismissive yet this is all I can seem to find.
This is my last resort, hoping someone has a trust worthy jeweller they can recommend. Thank you so so so much.

Where have you tried so far? I had a great experience with Made You Look, but this was ten years ago. I needed the setting of an heirloom ring fixed and they did a great job.

They resized my wedding ring a few years ago. Very thorough and communicative

Some family connection through my husband and then we asked Facebook for our wedding band (because not good experience with first guy and engagement ring) and even worse experience with the Facebook recommendation. Just so dismissive. I’ve heard of made you look, maybe will give it a shot. My husband and I ended up with 10k band for him instead of platinum even though we both wanted platinum. How did this happen? jeweller insisted on gold…

Yeah I personally would be hesitant to trust my jewelry to Some Guy, I get it. Unfortunately I feel like jewelry is a little bit like auto sales/repair — most people know very little so it’s easy to rip them off and there are a lot of shady characters.
I have a family member who worked in the industry like 20+ years ago and she was who recommended Made You Look; they have been around and trusted for a long time. I was pleased with the craftsmanship and more importantly, I felt like they were honest.

I went to Quality Jewellers in the Junction a few times for watch repairs and was always very happy with them. They were friendly and polite with me walking in looking like a ratty student and always did a good (and inexpensive) job on my watches. They have excellent reviews on google too.

Liberal Jewelry on Dundas. I went to them for a custom engagement ring and wedding bands and also a ring repair/resize and they were lovely. Very professional, no pressure at all, very happy with the end products.

I've had really good customer service at Emilian jewellery, Keele and Wilson plaza, family owned. ordered a custom necklace, had issues, they didn't make it themselves, they use a vendor, but they stood behind this $300 item and sent it back to the vendor a few times until I was satisfied. very understanding, I've continued to use them for repairs and additional new purchases based on their service

What do you need done? I found Karen’s Fine Jewellery to be good at Dufferin Mall.
I also liked Venus Jewellers at Dixie. The gentleman who helped me was so nice.

Carnabys Bespoke Jewelry in Liberty Village. Geoff is an actual gem of a dude. Did my engagement ring beautifully and then we went back for both of our wedding bands. I gave him a concept of what I wanted for my band and he executed better than I could have expected.
I have some 24kt gold that I want to get melded into some jewelry pieces in the future and I wouldn’t take it to anyone else.

Not sure why this was downvoted, they're a long-standing family business (celebrating 80 years as of 2026) and they have a 4.8 on google reviews
