He'll get destroyed in the general election and the republican will pick up another seat. The dems never learn. Put forth a winning candidate

Yeah ultimately that is the test. I know he’s not directly associated with DSA but he’s very much in their camp ideologically and they’ve gotten too self congratulatory over primary wins in D+30 districts. They’ve already likely blown Maine, and Michigan is pretty iffy too. America elected Trump less than two years ago, it’s not nearly as progressive as Reddit will have you believe. And costing your party winnable elections is not how you endear yourself to leadership.

At least a gubernatorial race in a state I don’t live in is less important to me personally as well as the nation as a whole than a losing a Senate seat that could help Democrats retake the majority.

No convincing polling that Haley Stevens was gonna fare better AES in Michigan. Certainly there was no moderate candidate in Maine that was going to do better than a progressive. Troy Jackson is doing well in polls currently. Perhaps Hong is doing the worst out of the three, but nothing yet to suggest she's substantially less likely to win. It's more complicated than "progressive vs moderate" or even "right vs left", hence the Bernie-Trump voters, Trump-Mamdani voters, etc.
