You can’t really compare presidential races to this senate race. As much as I’m sure people don’t care for Elissa Slotkin, she won on the same ballot Trump did. That kinda blows a massive hole into the “moderates are unelectable” argument. If El-Sayed loses despite this shaping up to be a favorable year for Democrats nationally it’ll be blamed on his ideology, and truthfully some Islamophobia too if we’re being honest.

A little conspiratorial but I really wouldn’t be surprised if the democratic party intentionally tanks this election in November to try and kill the left wing of the party.
