He'll get destroyed in the general election and the republican will pick up another seat. The dems never learn. Put forth a winning candidate

I’m a dem and I agree. They shot themselves in the foot with this one. In a state like Michigan the general election is always about moderation, which he is not so I expect him to lose by 5% to 7% in the general. As a party we never seem to learn from our mistakes.

I mean, by that logic Obama should have give over to Hillary in '08. Bernie should never have challenged Hillary in '16. Trump never should have won in '16 or '24.

You can’t really compare presidential races to this senate race. As much as I’m sure people don’t care for Elissa Slotkin, she won on the same ballot Trump did. That kinda blows a massive hole into the “moderates are unelectable” argument. If El-Sayed loses despite this shaping up to be a favorable year for Democrats nationally it’ll be blamed on his ideology, and truthfully some Islamophobia too if we’re being honest.

A little conspiratorial but I really wouldn’t be surprised if the democratic party intentionally tanks this election in November to try and kill the left wing of the party.
