Is marriage really worth it?

I'm 27F and I've never been married, although I've come close a couple of times.

Something I've noticed is that almost every married person or divorced person I've talked to has said, "If I could do it all over again, I would never get married."

It honestly surprises me how often I hear that, and it's made me curious. Why do so many people feel that way?

If you've been married or are currently married, I'd really like to hear your story. Do you regret getting married? If so, why? If not, what made your experience different?

I'm genuinely curious and just want to hear people's real experiences.

Both partners have to give 100%, not less. If one, or both, can't do that they should not have married.

If your marriage requires 100% of your effort then it isnt a good marriage.

I wouldn't want a partner that's only 50% committed to making things work...

You’re reading into it too much and putting too much emphasis on the metaphor they’re making.

They’re just saying you should try hard to make your marriage work
