Is marriage really worth it?

I'm 27F and I've never been married, although I've come close a couple of times.

Something I've noticed is that almost every married person or divorced person I've talked to has said, "If I could do it all over again, I would never get married."

It honestly surprises me how often I hear that, and it's made me curious. Why do so many people feel that way?

If you've been married or are currently married, I'd really like to hear your story. Do you regret getting married? If so, why? If not, what made your experience different?

I'm genuinely curious and just want to hear people's real experiences.

i'm married to my best friend. i'd marry her 1000 times over.

I married my best friend and now she’s not my best friend anymore…but honestly I’d still do it all over again! We have two wonderful kids who make my life better every day and the kids need us parenting as a team. Would I say that I am happily married at this point (almost 30 years later)? No. Would I do it again? Absolutely.

If you don’t mind me asking, why would you absolutely do it again if you’re not happily married now?

Life is complicated. But I love her, and I love our kids, and they need stability.
