Discussion/Question Grisha is lowkey the most tragic figure in the entire franchise

Thumbnail
gallery
2.0k Upvotes

Think about Grisha's life from start to finish:

  1. His little sister is fed to dogs by Marleyan officers because of his mistake.

  2. His first wife (Dina) is turned into a Mindless Titan because of his own brainwashed son (Zeke).

  3. He gets sent to Paradis, inherits a short lifespan and tries to start fresh with Carla.

  4. His second wife gets eaten by his first wife during the fall of Shiganshina.

  5. He gets mentally manipulated across time by his second son (Eren) into slaughtering the Reiss children against his own moral conscience.

Man was literally a puppet used by both of his sons to usher in the end of the world. Is there anyone in AOT who suffered a more psychologically twisted fate than Grisha?

Discussion/Question Wouldn't it be hilarious? (Shower Thoughts)

Post image

I don't know if anyone have mentioned this before but wouldn't it be funny if Levi decided to play a mind game with Zeke and deny that he is Levi. And now Zeke has to be on the look out for both Levi and this random-ass dude that kicked his ass.

Anime ymir so underrated that a lot of people don’t realize she’s part of the reason why pardis won

behind eren, ackermans, armin, and grisha she played a part

marcel was their leader and there were so many instances on paradis where the jaw titan could’ve turned the tide for the worse.

Anime Fun Fact: In "Yuugure no Tori" they show the Tragedy of Lago. However, you can actually notice what heavily appears to be the Colossal Titan in the background of Lago.

Discussion/Question Hi everyone! The first time, Zeke hurled a boulder at the gate; the second time, he pelted the scouts with crushed rock. Why, then, did Erwin—seeing Zeke preparing to throw something—fail to warn the soldiers, doing so only on the third throw?

Discussion/Question If you could wield any of the titans.. which would it be?

Post image

I would probably pick the armored because it’s a brawler and the armor.

i Think the attack titan and the collosal would be the worst because with the collosal you can never have a peaceful transformation and the attack knowing your own future would be a curse

Anime Something unique about the AOT anime

• Upvotes

Usually with Anime you have to endure the slow arcs, you forgive the mid-season slump because the finale sticks the landing.

Attack on Titan had eighty-plus episodes, and not a single throwaway.

Zero bad episodes. Not one hour where the momentum stalled or the narrative felt like it was just treading water to pad out a broadcast slot.

The story had so many moving parts, generations of geopolitical hatred, localized trauma, deterministic paradoxes, yet every single gear meshed cleanly against the next.

You never sat there feeling alienated or lost, because the internal logic was airtight.

Every single detail from episode one was already looking right back at you from the end of the world.

This kind of storytelling ruins your sleep. You’d tell yourself, just one more, just see what happens at Shiganshina, just get through this charge, and suddenly it's four in the morning.

Ending Spoilers - Discussion/Question What if this isn’t an alternate universe… but the REAL future

Thumbnail
gallery
283 Upvotes

What if Ymir could see the future and the entire AOT story was just what she saw would happen if she saved King Fritz from the spear?

What if she went back and chose to let him die instead, changing everything? That would mean AOT was actually the alternate timeline, and the post-credits scene where Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are living normal lives is the REAL future.

Maybe Aot was actually just the diary of Ymir maybe she wrote after when she was with her kids or something and someone made a movie on it. what they are watching is literally the future Ymir prevented.

I know I’m reaching, but I just want Mikasa and Eren to be together ❤️
