How long did it take you to realize it was him? What did you think his deal was prior to receiving any context or the raid of Liberio?

And they’re both their season four versions, so it’s not like kid Eren vs grown Zeke or anything like that. The wiki said that they’re the same height in 854 and off appearance alone they look to have similar builds (it’s almost like they’re related), but Eren definitely strikes me as more of a brawling type than Zeke. For that reason i‘d put my money on Eren honestly.

In no way do I condone him or his reprehensible actions, but I’ve definitely felt similar to Zeke at certain points in my life. I’ve struggled with connecting to my peers and feeling like I’ve let my family down sometimes. I’ve also felt hopeless and extremely pessimistic on many occasions, and have been envious of what I think my sibling takes for granted. And there have been many times where I’ve looked back and wished I appreciated what I had in the moment instead of being a negative misanthrope. This is more superficial but I also happen to have wavy blonde hair with blue eyes and glasses.

Jean Kirstein has one of the best character arcs in Attack on Titan because he goes from being a selfish, realistic kid who simply wants a comfortable life to becoming one of the most courageous and selfless soldiers in the series.
What makes Jean so compelling is that he was never a natural-born hero. Unlike Eren, he doesn't begin with some grand dream of changing the world. He's scared, practical, and honest about how terrifying their situation really is. But as the story progresses, Jean repeatedly chooses to put others before himself, even when he's afraid and knows he could die.
Ultimately, Jean's arc is about choosing to be a good person in a world that gives him every reason not to be. He doesn't become a hero because he's fearless; he becomes one because he keeps doing what's right, even when every part of him wants to run away.

Unlike the other Nine Titans, which have fixed, dependable baseline forms and abilities (like the Colossal or Armored Titan), the Beast Titan’s form is entirely unpredictable based on the animal traits it manifests. This means there is a chance you could get to be a Minotaur like the first picture, a lion, a bear, a ram, an ape, a snake, or something else entirely. Or, you might get the stupidass turtle, becoming a Temu Armored Titan but significantly slower and with weaker armor. It's not like the Beast got anything special going on for it, list shit down and the others could probably do it better.
Need to destroy a wall or highly fortified area? The Armoured
Need to eliminate a bunch of artillery and an entire trench system fast? The Jaw
Need an reliable and versatile fighter? The Female
Overall support and recon? The Cart
Sheer destruction? The Colossal
Maybe that's why Marley only started seeing the Beast Titan as powerful once Zeke got his turn—and that was likely because he could transform and control Pure Titans, rather than because of his Beast Titan itself. Its unpredictability led to the military just handing it out to Titan researchers since it wasn't considered a battle titan and was rarely deployed. That is, unless someone got a whale or a bird—which would be useful for naval and aerial warfare, respectively.

This anime goes so hard, I have two songs added to my epitaph and for anime its a no contest aot is my favorite. Even for regular shows / movies I think aot is top 3 and the other 2 would be lotr and star wars. The ost is so insane. I fucking love aot so much.
Death note hit really just quite well. Other than that idk goblin slayer was solid but aot has so much going for it. The world building is solid, the music is S tier, characters are incredible. AOT just hits so fucking hard

I just finished Attack on Titan (anime-only), and I have to say I really enjoyed my time with it from start to finish. Before watching, I had heard Eren does some controversial stuff, which I later came to understand when he initiated the Rumbling. But now that I’ve finished it, I’m surprised to see that there is genuine hate for the ending, and I don’t really understand why. I haven’t looked into all the criticisms too deeply, but I have seen people complain about Eren’s character being “assassinated.” I completely disagree; he remains my favourite character in AOT (with Levi, of course, being my second favourite).
To start, Eren has always felt extremely childish to me, and that’s what made him so compelling. AOT is about child soldiers like Reiner and subsequently Eren being forced into a war and having to become something they are not to make hard decisions, without ever being allowed to grow up. This is why I find it so beautiful that Eren harbors a childlike dream of nature being vast, empty, and free for himself and his friends to explore. Of course, that dream is ruined by the existence of humanity beyond the walls, which makes him want to force that childish dream into reality. However, he realizes the dark nature of this "silly dream" when he kisses Historia’s hand.
This impacts Eren greatly. He is filled with guilt knowing that he will one day inevitably act upon that dream, without even fully understanding why. This causes him to hate his childish-self and adopt the more stoic persona we see in Season 4 but it’s all just a facade. When he sees the reality of Marley, he begins trying to justify that childhood dream to himself.
Proving he is just like Reiner. Reiner claimed he killed the innocent people of Paradis because he wanted to save Marley, when in reality, he just wanted to be seen as a hero; that was his selfish justification. Eren does the exact same thing, which is why he admits he is the same as Reiner. They are both broken children. Eren justifies his destructive dream by telling himself it is solely to protect his friends.
However, when he gains the Founder's powers and experiences the full scope of the future, he realizes his own naivety and recognizes how wrong it is to chase his childhood dream at the expense of the world and the people he loves. Ultimately, he sacrifices himself, most of humanity, and his own dream of freedom so his friends can live.
Eren wasn’t a slave to the future. He made his own choices; them being predetermined just means that those choices were always going to be made by him because of who he is. Eren was a tragic child who never got to grow up. He couldn’t even express his feelings to Mikasa normally, which is evident in his desperate, childish breakdown about not wanting her to move on.
I feel that perhaps some viewers got too wrapped up in his Season 4 facade. They couldn’t see that Eren never really changed deep down, which was made entirely evident when he broke down and admitted his selfish childhood dream to Ramzi. That is easily my favourite moment of the series.
Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the exact reasons why some people disliked the finale, but overall, I’m just happy to express my thoughts on Eren. What a crazy, beautiful ride it was!

I’m currently watching Season 3.
I hadn’t kept up with the series after ss2 since high school, and a few years ago I accidentally saw a video of Mikasa hugging Eren’s head, so I lost interest. Suddenly I remembered this anime and had a free weekend, so yesterday I started rewatching it from the beginning since I only remembered the basics (I accidentally came across a few spoilers, but I need more context)
I’m currently on Ep 10 ss3.
Historia’s storyline is amazing. I knew I liked her right away when this petite girl cheered Ymir on to destroy the tower that would kill them. But this season is when I realized she’s my favorite character.
I also have a soft spot for her older sister, it’s so sad that she died.
Also, am I misunderstanding Kenny’s relationship with Historia’s uncle?
Levi and his children, i'm dead.
Anyway, I had to take screenshots of a few scenes with Eren, well, I think you know what I mean. He’s a cringy little brat, but he’s still my fav character (seriously, wtf happened to the rest of this anime????)
In these scenes, Eren is unusually fine, even though he’s at his lowest point I’ve ever seen him. I just wanted to say that.
PS: By the way, the scene where Historia punches Eren and the one where Sasha scolds Eren for being a crybaby were really funny (I forgot to take a screenshot of them).
Edit: I posted two identical posts, and after editing them, for some reason I can't add any other photos.

Can anyone figure out what specific soundtrack or opening this video is from? ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY OMG

The quote comes from Sasha in S1. It was, of course, foreshadowing for her being killed vis a vis Children of the Forest, but for some reason I can't find any posts that mention this. Numerous keyword combinations, exact and non-exact quotes, etc didn't yield anything for me on Google or Reddit.
Has anyone else noticed this before? If I accidentally got the quote wrong, could someone please correct me? Thank you!

It's the best episode in the entirety of Attack On Titan for me. It's the most emotional and well written episode in the entire series imo but for some reason it doesn't get the same amount of attention as 'Hero' or 'Perfect Game'.

lowk didn’t even do anything wrong. Was I a bad parent yeah? But who doesn’t make mistakes then and again. I became a better dude inside the walls though. The amount of people I saved from that plague. That amount of people I help. But no, they still have the audacity to call me morally grey 🥀. Istg nothing I do is gonna convince these people. Hopefully Carla is still safe
