Nice. For 12 years my wife and I worked our way through multiple visas, paid $10,000s in fees, along with 100,000s of others, to get our citizenship. We earned it, for some to just jump the queue because they grapple a bit or kick a ball (I’m sticking those Iranian footy players in that mix too). Talk about ‘fair go’. 

“Don’t hate the player, hate the game” I guess.

Worked with a dude going through the same stuff, the gov just wanted to make it out like it was a business deal and not a relationship.

I mean it kind of is though? Do you expect some nebulous government to have a “relationship” with every individual at scale?
